kc I would hate to see what my tahoe is getting! lol I havent figerd any thing out yet I a afraid to after getting 372 miles to the tank on my buchick! and now only getting 298 to a tank thats twice the size!!!!!!!!!
I hate being wordy. I really do. But I spelled out very clearly my actions to date/my intent as a candidate and that I'd hope my own club would support me based on my works and accomplishements in our organizations.
(I mean really - there IS a reason, I was voted Member of the Year last year & and am now up for President of the Year as well as Mission statement - the person who best exemplifies through actions what our club is about)
heh. I've been on the board for 3 years solid & all the punishment has made me want to take on a bigger role.
It's just this one b*tch who I have problems with. When I was her advisor I came to her aid, and had her back so many times - when all I really wanted to do was drop her on it.
Today I got a response from the incoming prez to the group stating she supported me - that's huge. It should also swing the vote in my favor.
It's kinda sad to hear other cobalt owners talk about getting 29 mpg averages when I'm sitting at 23.67. Then again, I do a lot of stop and go driving in the city...
just dont do it in front of me my smallest vehicle now is my tahoe!!!!!!!!! I think it would hurt you just a bit and it has over sized tires on IT!!!!!
paying my convention fees for my trip to Mexico in July. $250 gets all my fun for 6 days $93 gets my round trip airfare. $25/night gets my share of the room at the 5 star resort.
arriba la chivas! I can't wait! I'm going to mexico.. i'm going to mexico... cha cha cha!
It shouldn't make any difference, as long as your car is not supposed to run premium, which I don't think it is.
The higher octane rating raises the flashpoint of the fuel, which actually makes it harder to burn (just a little). You would want to use the higher octane fuels if you had a slight ping in your engine, or pre-detonation, but that only masks the problem. You would still want to get it fixed.
So if you want to save at the pump, and get great fuel economy... go 87.
But as my auto-shop teacher told us in high school... if you are gonna worry about the gas mileage, stay home. At least leave the car at home if you can anyway
I haven't even checked the mileage I'm getting on the new car. I know the Mercury averaged about 20 mpg hiway and that was a V8. I figure with the 6 cylinder and slightly smaller car, the gas mileage is better.
That's all I need to know. I'm not likely to quit driving to work or up north anytime soon. 10 years before I retire so 10 years before I quit driving to work and back.
I just don't like driving north for schools... They make me stay too far away to make it worth coming home, and pay me the same money....
I would drive north for fun anytime though. Going to Cass Lake first week of July as a matter of fact. In the Jeep pulling a boat no less. Better start saving for gas now... The Jeep is a gas hog, and the boat is rated by gallons per hour
I know a few times I would have a home visit up in Hugo or Forest Lake. The temptation to just leave and head north from there was sooooo strong sometimes. The Land of Ahhhhhs can call like a siren now and again.
Where do ya go up at Cass Z? We used to stay at South Pike Bay all the time but it just got to be too far to go even though we got our own private beach with each site.
I know Kitch's Gramps was from around that lake as well.
I have never been there before, as far as I know... I figured that since I had a little longer than a drive up Friday, drive home Sunday weekend, why not go somewhere a little farther away?
I am going to Stony Point Resort, It is right off of 2 (whatever kind of road it is, highway? county road?) I think it is the south side of the lake. Seems like a halfway decent place, looks alright from the aerial photos, but could be a long walk to the boat... Tenters stay exactly the opposite side of the campground than where the boats are moored at. :frown:

I'm sooooo done with it all.

I can't wait till fall myself, then I'll be free again.

I love my boss. seriously. I'm working 3-4 hour days when Torgy visits the following week, and then the week after that I'm off to NOLA.
I still need to >>cough<< mention that I'm leaving for a week to Mexico in July. dangit these things just pop up.
Vote Cork Dork - Samantha for Region 2

Heh, so basically all I have to do to get better mileage is run every intersection....
Screw the Rest - Samantha's the Best! Region 2

And not driving north isn't much of an option.
I hear that

I noticed they rent boats - might be cheaper to rent than to haul one.
I did like that they have for rent an Aqua Vu, I have always wanted to try one out... would be cool to see what is really going on under water.
Got a little misty over that one...
And now for some T.V. Trivia... Where did I pick up the phrase "gettin' a little misty"? A hint, "Maynard"
"WORK?!?"
He was the best friend of Dobie Gillis
