I MISS REV 105 that was the best station that I had ever heard!! and as far as Sirius they will Never see the money I owe them There service sucked!! I would drive under a cloud and I would lose sig. when I had XM it was great I could go threw any tunle and never had sig. lose!!!

I like the current too. Especially My Three Songs at noon everyday. Very diverse stuff.

you might have had a bad receiver.

I have very little problems with my service. Under metal roofs at the gas station, is about it. I go through tunnels etc. and never have problems.

The seemingly never ending appeals process in our court system.

The guy that hit me wants another new trial. 3rd one now. At what point does it become final? His lawyer is demanding documents notes ,ect.....I friggin need a lawyer to keep up with it. All this for a conciliation court where theres not supposed to be lawyers. This system is a total joke! :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: Even if it ever does become final I'll never collect because I have to prove where he works, lives blah blah bla, and jump through a million hoops. WHAT GOOD IS THE COURT? 50 south 6th. Kinda feel like a rock star. Gonna pull in the loading dock and check in with the guard. He'll show me where to park and then he'll radio up to Gary and I'll be set. Interveiw with Gary Trudeau and his asst.

an hour long phone interview that went absolutely no place...

irritates: me. myself and I.

went to fresh choice for dinner (pretty healthy option + I had 14 points left)

I ate a big geen salad with lots of fresh veggies first.

then i had some low fat french onion soup

... still doing good...

then i had 1/2 a sweet potatoe

...not bad. nor bad...

so as a reward. i thought i could have 1/2 a square of gingerbread

except i was too full. and that was like an hour ago n ive been nautious sick ever since. my stomach isnt used to big quantites at once. the salad alone is more then i usually eat in one sitting.

now im lying on my bed doing my homework. thinking im going to throw up. sooooo not good. portion control is a must. even with healthy stuff.

How'd it go?

I got grilled for an hour. Some odd questions that were hard to answer. I don't feel real well about my answers because I was really nervous, but maybe I did better than I think. One question they asked me was, "what do you think you can get out of this job that you didn't get out of your old job." I answered that exept for longevity, I'm not sure I can get better than my old job. I really liked my old job and it was a good job. I said I never would have left if they didn't close. I then told them I'd like the challenge of the new job. These were the types of questions I was asked. I hate questions like that and don't do so well on answering them. They asked a lot of questions about my old jobs in the army and gillette and how I would apply things to this new job. They wanted examples of how I apply myself, how I take initiative etc. I do perform that way, I just suck at explaining stuff like that. I did get in a few times that if I was hired they won't regret it. I also used my perfect GPA as an example.

I was the first one interveiwed and they'll be doing more so I may not hear anything for a couple weeks. This may be a good thing, I'm not sure. Everyone else will have to be as good or better than me? I don't know. They took me on a little tour of the equipment room. That was cool! The guy actually worked for my instructor for 8 years and my instructor recomended me for the job, so thats a plus in my favor I hope.

In the mean time I'll do the waiting game.

The fact that you were a loyal, long term employee at your previous job should really be a plus. They know you don't jump around from job to job. And it doesn't hurt that you were recommended by your instructor either.

Think positive and hope it all works out for you.

yeah, I think it totally helps that the guy knows your instructor, and you came with his reccomendation...

I've gotten a few jobs that way.... with reccomendation from previous people/connections....

Question: Is suspending paid time off (including sick leave) legal?

Get busy and start looking seriously for a new job. No reason to keep getting beat up for the one you're in.

I don't think it is, but I don't want to spend hours digging through state and federal employment law to figure it out.

It's probably legal because they don't have to offer it. And saying they're suspending it probably covers any contract that was signed offering it because they're not cutting it out completely. Even if that turns out to be their intent, legally I think they're covered.

So, it's not illegal, it's just a bad idea. My coworkers and I are already burned out. Laying off half of what's left and asking the other half to work twice as hard without a day off (it's even discussed that taking a day off because you're too sick to pull yourself in to work that you'll have to make up the hours after hours or on a weekend) isn't a way to run a business.

It's a good way to run a business into the ground.

I also agree this place isn't making enough money to justify the staff we have. In my honest opinion, a small business selling office supplies just won't make it in today's market. Nobody cares about service, they care about price. That's the cold, hard facts. It's time my boss woke up and realized that.

Look at it this way Mikey - I'm hiring for two positions right now and I'm only calling my #1 candidates for both positions in for interviews tomorrow. I don't want to have to go through all the rest if these two will be OK. It's just more paper work and wasted time if I we're just going through the motions.

If you did fine, which I'm sure you did, you'll be getting a call sooner than you think bud. :cool:
