Going to fast down a hill on my snowmobile and going airborne with Penny on the back. That was the fun part. The bad part was landing on my ribs on the handle bar and smashing my knee into the cowling. Took the skin right off my knee. I can barely move today. :frown:
we had 2 strays show up at the lake this week.... a dog at 5 am with a 5 foot long cable (not quite pinky thick) dragging behind him .... turns out the people who owned this chocolate lab lived abt a mile up the lake. The idiot woman says he pees in the house too much and he was out there connected to the house when she went to bed the night before!!! OMG!!!! it was really cold out. we didn't have any trouble with him peeing in the house, we just kept letting him out. hard to let her have him back, the inlaws are gonna keep an eye on her.
the other stray? the other night, a woman waves up to the deck. We wave her in. She was lost. flipped herself on a snowmobile on the lake and messed up her hand pretty good. she was really shaken. I gave her some Baileys and coffee - turned out she was searching for a red house on the lake... we're red, but she was only 2 houses (about 250 feet) from where she wanted to be.
I was gonna go out snowmobiling but got lazy with the fireplace.
well, it's only 2 pounds, not like that's devastating or anything. I bet you'll have that back off in no time.
I didn't bother trying to diet over the holidays myself. I'm quite impressed I managed to stay in the same weight range the entire time (don't ask me how that happened, I have no clue).
Yeah, speaking of which, I'm back to getting my 10,000 steps in a day again. Considering the temps outside, I'm just taking the easy/cheap way out and am walking at the mall.
Good enough anyways, I can catch up on all my podcasts I listen to, now that I replaced my mp3 player.
they have a spot where you slip this chip that is linked to your ipod nano & counts your steps, and you can read everything on your nano and also down load it into your computer.
almost makes me wish I had a nano... except for the fact that I'm an ascics shoe girl - nike don't fit me.
blah.. name brand shoes wear out just as fast as the non-name brands for me.
Case in point, I got a nice pair of reboks for walking, but the darned things soles wore out. Since they had these nice cushioned air pockets in them, every time I walk through a puddle my shoes squish for half an hour afterwards.
I have seen that though, looked interesting, but I don't own an ipod either (I'm just not that trendy/hip) just a boring old mp3 player that takes standard AAA batteries to run.
I have tried all sorts of shoes, I'm pretty particular about what I will won't wear, cause they are certainly cut different for instance, I can't wear pumas, they are too wide, I walk right out of them & although I can't wear nike running shoes, they are the only soccer shoes I can wear (go figure) - and brand name or not - acsics I love!!! they are the most awesome shoe for in the gym (running/treadmill/kickboxing etc)
I have a pair of merrill's that I wear when I trail run, but that's only cause they are goretex so stepping in puddles doesn't matter - your feet stay dry. (i heart gortex)
rain. not just rain - tons of it. apparently we are going to have 4"today, 3" tomorrow and then 2-3 inches on Sat and Sunday.
The winds tomorrow are going to be 50mph with gusts to 80 was the last thing they said on the news, and 30ft waves at the ocean Saturday Morning (I'm going to out and see for myself and get some photos - and no, I'm not dumb enough to actually go down to the beach part)
also!! they said that Sunday, we could get snow, cause it's such a cold storm! That would be awesome, but really friggin scary cause no one here can even drive in the rain, much less snow.
What's the conversion for an inch or rain into snow? I think somewhere once I read it was 10", but that seems excessive that would be 130 inches of snow or almost 11 feet.
hmmm - well we are expecting flooding and power outages - so maybe.
Haven't really been feeling 100% lately. Took medicine Saturday night and crashed about 10:30pm... slept until 1:00pm today - up long enough to watch 1/2 a movie with the kids before falling asleep again for 3 more hours! :ooh:
I guess I needed it, but now it's 12:15am. I can't sleep, there is no one to talk to and I need to leave for work at 7:00am. :frown:
but yeah, it sucks
Irritates: The first half Vikings. It's like they don't want to go to the playoffs. Lame! :eyeroll:
I'm glad you didnt get more hurt ....
my ribs hurt just reading your post

even worse...it could wind up being the week after that...not 100% which week yet...
which bugs me cause that's like 8ish more weeks.
it's going to be my motivation tonight to hit the gym. That's for sure.
