I sold 4 or 5 nintendo ds lites at Christmas on EBAY- raked in about $300 above cost. I already had them for my girls (Whitney got the black one and Sarah got the pink one). selling them online gave me the $$ to pay for theirs.

He may have had that many to get rid of just like I had multiple units. I guess I would be weery if he mentioned that he was selling it because he got a new phone but if he has quantity and just selling to make money than hopefully you won't have a problem. hang in there.

Pennys still waiting on something from e-bay. The post office was backed up from the holidays and then with Ford dying it got even more backed up. The stuff will come.

I mailed a birthday card to my grandson in Zumbrota on the 4th to make sure it got to him by his birthday on the 6th. He still hasn't received it. The post office's excuse is that they're backed up because of the Sunday, NYE, Ford national holiday. I could have walked it down there by now.

So be patient, Bear. And I haven't gotten my 99 cent book yet either. But I am aware that books are mailed at a different rate and they take longer.

what ever you do DON'T drop it! Treat it like a very sweet baby.

and don't walk farther than 5 feet into a wine cave(ok - so that one you prolly won't have a problem with)

Management got them here last summer. None of them worked in the cellars. Then one by one they dropped them. I think one manager still has hers.

A red case huh? sweet. I liked those a lot when I saw them cause I thought they were nice and small for my back pocket (when out sans purse) now I want a treo. Much larger, but more functional - for me.

Doesn't surprise me. A cave isn't exactly an ideal location for any rf reception. If they were razors, those things barely have an antenna to them, so they're twice as likely to have trouble in poor signal areas.

As for patience, I have tons.

I dropped my old cell with the 2 way talk thingy into a tank of wine. Had to pump the entire 12k gallons to another tank to retrieve the dang thing.

needless to say it was dead.

I don't have hardly an attena on my LG and I can walk into the cellars and around 99% of the equiptement ok. It's even takend several spills down the stairs at work (as has my MP3) and survived and one spill out a second story window, but landed in low brush outside.

boyz club being babies. I have a bunch of whinning grown men wanting to take their toys and go home, cause we 'didn't support their boy' last year in a campaign, when the other candidate that ran did a 300% better job campaigning, and to date has done a better job all around.

  • sigh* get on with it.

We just got notices here at work it's set to drop to 16-18 tonight. Which means before we leave the plant we have to make sure that the jackets on the outside tanks are circulating and the lines with water are MT. Last time it dropped that cold one night - we came into a helluva mess.

Have to winterproof my back yard pipes too as my house pipes aren't deep and the ambient temp is what I get in the house for the most part.

ok - here is what i'm mad about.

I have a past national prez of the cult who I emailed in Oct - "hey we have crab feed tickets" - no response. In Nov "hey we have crab feed tickets" -no response. In Dec "hey we have crab feed tickets, and we are SELLING OUT FAST" - no response.

Get a call this morning for the *$()^*&$!! and he says - I want to tickets. I tell him, he has to call ____ cause we are less than 30 tix from selling out and he needs to talk to her.

I get this rant.. I'm a past national president! I can't believe YOU are going to treat ME like that! My Tix should be COMP'd and you should ALWAYS set aside tickets for VIP's like ME. I don't want to come.. and at that point - I said fine - don't and hung up on him.

I'd really like to call him back and say - listen you ass, where do you think you get off being so high and mighty? if you ever try to pull this rant crap on me again - I'm going to BAN you ass from ever coming to one of my cults parties again! got it?

But he's the type who prolly wouldn't let me get a word in anyways.

its not too bad- just sore- I didn't want to look dumb or fall in the street when I twisted and almost fell in the street (while walking, I sometimes think people sit in their offices up high in the buildings and people watch us down on the street-I know I have from my office window) so I painfully bit my lips & walked/hobbled on it the extra block and then died in my chair when I got in the door! I need a male nurse :sheepish: :ooh: anyone know any?  :sheepish:

    Irritation:

    - media news vultures, out for blood - making MY neighborhood look like a f'n warzone...

    - authorities who want you to believe that they're doing something, but it doesnt seem like it.

I went to a community meeting tonight....

Dunno if you guys watch the news... but - putting it mildly - theres been some action over here on the East Side, recently...

Some city council people, and the mayor and a couple of state representatives and some police, and sheriff leaders called a meeting....

It was supposed to be at a library, but the number of people showing up, was so big, that they moved it accross the street to a church....

The cops/authority figures did what they always do... they promised that they're working as hard as they can, and will "get the bad guys"....

(personally - and speaking from experience - I think they just have more fun, busting innocent people, but thats beside the point)

And the news crews did as they always do.... they made everything seem worse...

I was interviewed by one of the channels that was there (I think they were all present), on my way out the door....

    - was asked if I feel the East Side is a dangerous place to live

    no.

    I dont.

theres just some assholes making it hard for people to do so, lately.

It happens anyplace you go.... there are bad apples, on every tree.

But people just want to look at the east side in a negative way, for some reason.

I hear it all the time. Not just recently with this action.

Its not a bad place to live. Or raise a family. Or take a walk. Or go shopping. Or do anything else that you could do anyplace else....

Feel free to stop by, anytime... and I'll take you around.... its not a bad place.

People that move away, and only come back every couple of months, look at it differently.....

The news crews WANT people to look at it differently.... because negative news is what draws ratings. Its what makes people talk.

The east side hasnt turned into another North MPLS..... and it isnt going to, anytime soon.

I'm sick of this f'n crap...

Vultures, just out for blood who want to make another part of my life into a piece of s**t.

And nobody seems to be doing anything about it

No thanks. We dont need that stuff around here.

people can run away from the "bad stuff" all they want to....

they can run to their Eagan's and Burnsville's, and Woodybury's, and Edina's, etc.....

    I'm staying here.

    This is my f'n home.

And if you're wondering if I'll be on whatever news station that was, that interviewed me?

I doubt it.... I made the place sound friendly and nice...

They were looking for dark and scary.

However, I'm pretty sure, I'll see a number of those reporters again at the medallion-find press conference.... seems like the same people that were at the last one.

I'm heading out to my car to stare under the hood for a bit. The Jeep turned into Christine last night when I got home from the VFW. I turned it off and my dash lights and parking lights started blinking. Five blinks, then a pause of about 10 seconds. Then five blinks again. It isn't my hazards so I'm assuming the vehicle is possessed. :worried:

A neighbor and I disconnected the battery so I'm going to hook it back up and see if it's still doing that.

reminder- warning- BEFORE standing in front of the jeep (looking under the hood)....make sure your jeep is in PARK.

older vehicles didn't need to be in PARK to start them like they have to be today.

I learned that the hard way! in the end I had a broken colarbone and twisted up foot and chest

Another happy morning of "JOEL! Get in here now! The phones aren't working and the internet is down!!!!"

No offense OTiS, but I really hate comcast.

BTW, who do I have to bribe to get a new cable modem? The one we got when we signed up sucks. I have to reset it once a day due to a slow lag problem that gets worse over the day (yes, resetting the modem fixes it, but I have to do it way too often).
