Don't misinterpret their relative calm as a lack of excitement.
When Beth and Sarah Wright found the Woodbury Days Medallion in a tree at Powers Lake after this year's final contest clue was revealed Aug. 24, they were very excited. It's just that the mother-daughter pair have done this once before.
"We were part of a group, my brother (Brian) and his friend, that found it in 2003," said Sarah.
The pair found the medallion at Powers Lake. Beth spotted the black disk perched between two branched of a tree.
For their efforts, the duo collected more than $500 worth of gift certificates from local businesses.
