There is also parking on the east side of Bald Eagle Lake at the boat launch there. There is a playground at the boat launch area. Across Highway 61

Nice analysis. I am the person who suggested the medallion might be bauble-rapt (at least, I haven't heard that theory from anyone else and no one I've told it
