My apologies to those I've told that this post has been coming. You'd think that with the COVID-19 crisis I'd actually have more time to write this, but that time has been consumed by other things. The long and short of it is that most of the 2020 season has been cancelled. We already had dates slated for a handful of summer hunts:
- Perham Turtle Fest
- Oakdale Summerfest
- Hopkins Raspberry Festival
- Little Canada Canadian Days
- Vadnais Heights Heritage Days
Of those, Oakdale and Little Canada have been explicitly cancelled. The remainder are farther out in the Summer and decisions haven't yet been made about the festivals.
With that said, let's make a list of the summer festivals that haven't been cancelled yet. They may yet be cancelled, and we'll keep the list updated if they are. I'm not going to delete items, just overstrike them as they fall.
Twin Cities Area Festivals that are still on
- Champlin Father Hennepin Festival Medallion Hunt (The festival is cancelled but the hunt is still on, found June 13, 2020)
- White Bear Lake Manitou Days (postponed until July 30-August 23), First clue on 8/11
