Terry, if it were mine, I would do an on-going mural of what the van saw on my excursions...but I would have to hire an artist....Dan thought just painting it camo would be cool, but in this day and age, might get you pulled over. I think the painting of the "van-mobile" is a very personal deal, and will come to you as the inspiration reveals itself. Don't be in a hurry. You saw the outside of my pinchy van, and I still have no clue as to what to make the outside be. A mural of treasure boxes, and winter, and fires, and shovels, and marshmallows might be a start...>:)

Geeze, Ares, there are lots of things you don't want shared from that bonfire.:) Was it the haunting?

Can you really do stuff like that Marley? A friend of mine and I have been discussing my Scout, and a suitable wild paint job for it.

Yes sir frosti. I was in mexico a few years back and seen these guys doing funky space art like that with spray cans. I said "I can do that".Two years of practice and they were finally starting to turn out cool(its hard with spray cans air brush is easy). It has been about ten years now so there looking good now, although I havent painted one in a year now.Now that I am talking about it think maybe I will be painting after work tonight.

Later,
cause Im late for that work thingy

Sweet. My truck's kind of a rustbucket, but a really boss paint job would distract from that. :)

Marley? Did you see that comic in the Pioneer (I think yesterday)?

Guy gets pulled over and as the policeman comes to the car window the guy throws a doughnut out hoping the policeman will run for it...policeman says it won't work and gives him a ticket.

Thought of it when I read about your stopsign trouble :(

Me2, you need to check the link at the top of the PPWC Refugees folder. You need to have Lance fix your problem with being Moderated.

Good Evening!

Marley - I'll show him that stuff. I'm not sure he's quite ready for that...but it sure is way cooler! He's into eagles and lighthouses though. Can you do those?

I think nicely suggesting they put some stop ahead signage before that stopsign, might just help emphasize that it's not very visible and perhaps will at least get you a reduced fine.

i've gotten used to its nuances. and its actually been rock-solid for me since i figured out that i have power quality problems and the ups i have that's supposed to be scrubbing the power for me has gone to the birds.

I navigated back to my Windows 98 machine tonight. Dr. Dave fixed up my old compaq so I'm doing some file grabbing from this one to load into the compaq. I will finally have internet again when we're north.

No more shakes for me during the weekend internet droughts! LOL!!

ya know, i really do need to get a laptop. then i could take the computer out of the bathroom! lol.

Ares - that would be a good use of time while bathrooming.

I remember when US West used to try to sell you extra phone lines. (I'm probably dating myself here as this didn't seem so long after party lines gave way to private lines.) They would talk about phones in the bedroom, living room, laundry room and I remember the one time the woman mentioned the bathroom and I just about fell on the floor!

Now having internet access in the bathroom for true addicts isn't so far-fetched.

well i've already got a wireless network in place for the purpose of serving my dsl connection to the neighbors on either side, so a lappy with a wireless network card would drop right in on my network :)

now, chatting on the phone in the bathroom, with all the, um, appetizing sound effects, that's just something i won't do!

what is? chatting on the phone while doing a number 2? speaking of that, i walked into the can at work this morning to the sound of someone making dinner reservations or something while taking care of other business. is that really necessary?

Morning Sams

Mornin'. Yippee! Hubby FINALLY went to work today. He's been laid off since Nov. Talk about a long winter. I had to pry the remote out of his hand. I hope he remembers how to use his work tools. This AM I noticed "worm- bumps" all over my yard, except the north side,so I'm calling it a spring day.

Does anyone know of a weather website where you can enter in a "road trip" itinerary, and get the forecasts?

Thu, 04/11/2002 - 6:59 AM Permalink
ares

yay, kt! what does he do?

mornin' ralph.

and i've never heard of such a site. of course i'm also not the sort of person to go looking either. its a lot more convenient to just give northwest some money and get on a plane with a big red tail. lol.

Thu, 04/11/2002 - 6:59 AM Permalink

Ares, hubby is a foreman for a concrete company. Only this year got the title "Project Manager" (I think that means foreman) I agree about the flying thing. A friend of mine is road- tripping out to Seattle on Sunday, and I told her I'd give her forecasts along the way. I like to get to places asap, and chill, but Clark W. Griswald DID say, "getting there is half the fun, you know that"

Thu, 04/11/2002 - 7:21 AM Permalink
ares

sounds like the definition of a foreman to me. my brother's an office furniture installer and he's been laid off since the end of february. but he's kinda cool with that; the company he primarily works for got the job doing the best buy campus come november, and it's given him the opportunity to get his upstairs remodeled (coincidentally with enough lights that he could land a 747 in zero visibility :)

as for driving, if its gonna take longer than 5 or 6 hours, i'm getting on a plane. which is, of course, why i'd absolutely love to get a pilot's license. then i could say if the plane rental process is longer than the drive i can drive.

I don't think Dan would mind if he was laid off for 2 months, but 5+ gets to a guy. ...One of the reasons we're moving west. Well, I'm off to make pizzas for the masses! Later. Have a way cooler day!

Horrible. But we're on the cusp of a new era, sez Lance. New server is on a UPS truck somewhere in the continental USA, en route to Lance.

If the driver can make it past the peacock, things should improve.

I thought I heard the weatherman say it would be sunny this afternoon. Someone was wrong. At least this is Spring weather and it's not snowing.

Better keep on keeping on here. Busy night ahead.
