Jethro... Hope you can read this today(cause you can't post anymore), but after this morning, I cannot see how you survive in this world, as dumb as you are. Truly, you are a dope.
Amazing.
Sometime Soon, JT is going to bounce your ass, and I cannot wait to see the day.
Totally bumbling, fumbling, inane and incompetent.
As for your board, fold, you don't follow your own rules so why would anyone but a few left wingers want to post there? You show no respect to people that disagree with you.
I am wondering... Do any of you NOT support animal research, to find answers to the treatment of diseases in Humans?
I'm with Wolvie on this one. Trouble is, they're rarely humane about it. I'd rather give my life than to know that thousands of animals were tortured to save mine.
However, these images were broadcast for weeks around the world on foreign television networks, and have been often been cited as a chief source of the world's support for the war on terrorism.
That "Townhall.Com"... They sure have the answers to everything...!
Now fold you know that I know that isn' true. It is a site for commentary. Now why should I spend all day writing something when I can post something already written?
I tried it. I didn't particularly like it. But I graduated and I am practicing law. Now fold doesn't believe that but he is off base on so many things.
I don't happen to believe it either, Jethro. Then you, just like fold, would be wrong. You seem to have way too much time on your hands for someone who's engulfed in major issues. Why do you think the law is only filled with "major issues?" There is plenty of minor stuff out there to make a living.Much like Sloop, you don't seem to give any thought as to how people perceive what shoots out of your mouth. Because I don't care. This is just fun. Those who work in law enforcement and/or examine the studies that pertain to it seem to stay away from bigoted comments like racial bias and so forth because they know they're putting their ass on the line if and/or when they do it. First my comments are NOT bigoted or show any racial biaas. You are full of it. Because of people like you is the reason I call myself "jethro bodine?" It is because people like fold would go out of their way to cause trouble.
An editorial cartoon questioning the notion of slave reparations published by a student newspaper in Indiana was denounced as disrespectful of Purdue University's minority community and prompted an apology by the editor of the paper, The Exponent.
The cartoon, by Pulitzer-winner Pat Oliphant, features Abraham Lincoln as reluctant to hand out reparations to a group who already seems to have garnered a number of benefits. It also makes a side comment about blacks and the Academy Awards.
At a press conference, black student leaders said the comic goes against the spirit of Purdue's commitment to campus diversity. "I feel The Exponent has a long way to go in terms of long-term commitment with goals set forth in terms of diversity training and contacts among diverse groups," said junior Felix McElroy, president of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
Dave Stephens, editor in chief of The Exponent, apologized for running the comic. He said it is not an indication of what the paper's staff members believe.
Face painting has been banned at 4-H camps in West Virginia and several other longstanding American Indian customs could also be axed because they might be offensive to Native Americans and violate federal law, reports The Associated Press.
For 80 years, West Virginia 4-H campers have been divided into four tribes that compete in sports by day then gather each evening at a council circle to conduct a variety of rituals, from performing rain dances to donning headdresses. Some of the traditions will continue as a yearlong investigation proceeds, but face painting, which some likened to using blackface, will be stopped and campers will no longer win "spirit sticks" for having the loudest tribal yell.
A U.S. Department of Agriculture employee apparently told officials at the West Virginia University Extension Service, which sponsors the clubs, that the rituals are offensive and could violate federal civil rights laws. The fear is that the university could lose at least $4.5 million a year in federal funds and millions more in research dollars if it continues to condone the practices.
At least three other states — Maryland, Virginia and Kentucky — are also trying to decide how to handle American Indian customs in their 4-H programs.
A California journalist who is suing the city of Escondido claiming it violated his civil rights and those of others who use assistance dogs by keeping a hostile cat in the municipal library is now calling the attack a hate crime, reports KNSD-TV in San Diego.
Richard Espinosa, a former reporter for the North County Times, added the allegation to a $1.5 million lawsuit he filed against the city in November.
Espinosa was on assignment at the city library when his 50-pound Labrador mix, Kimba, was attacked by L.C., the library cat. The suit contends the city is guilty of a hate crime for putting the welfare of its "dangerous cat" above people with disabilities.
Espinosa, who sees perfectly well, relies on the state-certified assistance dog to help him deal with anxiety attacks and other health problems. He hopes the lawsuit will educate the public about the legal rights of people with "hidden disabilities."
Odd that it wasn't in many of the media outlets. Oh well i'm sure there's a good reason for it.
Democrat Implies Sept. 11 Administration Plot
By Juliet Eilperin Washington Post Staff Writer Friday, April 12, 2002; Page A16 Â Â
Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) is calling for an investigation into whether President Bush and other government officials had advance notice of terrorist attacks on Sept. 11 but did nothing to prevent them. She added that "persons close to this administration are poised to make huge profits off America's new war."
In a recent interview with a Berkeley, Calif., radio station, McKinney said: "We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11th. . . . What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11th? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? . . . What do they have to hide?"
Given a chance to retract, she didn't.
McKinney declined to be interviewed yesterday, but she issued a statement saying: "I am not aware of any evidence showing that President Bush or members of his administration have personally profited from the attacks of 9-11. A complete investigation might reveal that to be the case."
In the radio conversation, McKinney delivered a stinging attack on the administration. In 2000, she charged, Bush forces "stole from America our most precious right of all, the right to free and fair elections." With the September attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania, McKinney said, "an administration of questionable legitimacy has been given unprecedented power."
She suggested that the administration was serving the interests of a Washington-based investment firm, the Carlyle Group, which employs a number of high-ranking former government officials from both parties. Former president George H.W. Bush -- the current president's father -- is an adviser to the firm. McKinney said the war on terrorism has enriched Carlyle Group investors by enhancing the value of a military contractor partly owned by the firm.
Carlyle Group spokesman Chris Ullman asked: "Did she say these things while standing on a grassy knoll in Roswell, New Mexico?"
One of her collegues Sen. Zell Miller (D) GA responded to her idiotic, outrageous and irresponsible comments. As did others.
"At first glance, it would be easy to pass this off as just another loony statement.
"But at second glance, it is more than that. It is very dangerous and irresponsible.
"I hope President Bush will remember that this is the same Congresswoman who - during each of his State of the Union addresses - arrives early to get a coveted aisle seat, then leans way over as Bush walks down the aisle, hoping he will give her a kiss for all to see on national TV."
This woman is a joke and a disgrace. I hope the people in her district throw her out on her worthless ass.
I don't mean to be such a pain in the ass to Cynthia McKinney (D., Ga.), but it appears this is the fastest route to her brain. According to the Washington Post, in an interview with a Berkeley radio station Ms. McKinney suggested that the Bush administration knew about the September 11 attacks but did nothing to stop them. Oh, no, wait — she doesn't suggest that, she says it:
We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11th. . . . What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11th? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? . . . What do they have to hide?
Catch that? "Why did they not warn the innocent people...who were needlessly murdered?" In other words, the Bush administration knew these people were going to be murdered and they did nothing about it. She also adds that "persons close to this administration are poised to make huge profits off America's new war." These are not complicated dots to connect. Ms. McKinney believes, or says she believes — not necessarily the same thing, of course — that the Bush administration is guilty of aiding and abetting the mass murder of American citizens for profit.
When confronted, McKinney backpedaled a few millimeters. In a statement she explained: "I am not aware of any evidence showing that President Bush or members of his administration have personally profited from the attacks of 9-11. A complete investigation might reveal that to be the case."
I see. Well, just let me just say that I am not aware of any evidence that Ms. McKinney has murdered several children or that she personally profited from sleeping with the entire defensive squad of the Atlanta Falcons. However, a complete investigation might reveal that to be the case.
Meanwhile, while we await the findings of that long-overdue investigation, I can add that there is ample evidence that Ms. McKinney is dumber than rock salt and more repugnant than Yasser Arafat's three-week-old underwear.
Note how that statement does not actually retract the truly hateful accusation. Ms. McKinney lets stand the suggestion that Americans were "needlessly murdered" because the Bush administration knew about the September 11 attack and willingly did nothing about it for purely selfish reasons. If this were true, Bush would certainly be impeached and might even be executed. Of course, it's not true. But truth isn't one of those things that come through too clear by way of the radio transmitters in McKinney's fillings.
I don't recall any of the people saying that to be an elected official or a member of congress.
Personally I think Cynthia MCKinney (D) Georgia is a moron for even saying such a thing. If you'll remember she is also the idiot who wanted the 10 million from the Saudi Prince that Guliani told him to stuff after the prince said it was partially our fault. But that didn't matter to Cindy, naww , who cares were the money comes from. But she essentially agreed with him, giving the Saudi's some good p.r. Let's hope her voters throw her out on your worthless ass.
I don't know why anyone is concerned about the rantings of a back-bencher like Cynthia McKinney.
She has no power to influence policy. Her comments won't get through the weekend news cycle.
Yes, it's up to her voter constituency. And if the Republicans can't run a winning candidate they have no one to blame but themselves. And they ought to look in a mirror and figure out why they can't do it. So, more power to her.
I don't know why anyone is concerned about the rantings of a back-bencher like Cynthia McKinney.
Well first of all what kind of P.R do you think it gives AlQuieda and other enemies when they can sight and quote a member of our own congress accuising the President of the United States of having knowledge of the attacks ? This isn't some Dennis rant on a message board. She isn't a talk show host or columnist saying it That's a member of congress that's saying it.
She has no power to influence policy.
Really ? those in congress have no influence in policy ? Wow that's a new one. Well I would say she has a bit more than you or I since she is a U.S Congresswoman
Her comments won't get through the weekend news cycle.
Actually she said it a few days ago, why do you suppose the mainstream press hasn't said much? Let's see a memeber of congress claims alleges or infers that the President of the United States had knowledge of the worst disaster and mass murder in U.S history and wants or thinks there should be an inquiry and that he and his buddies would profit from the war. And that's not news ? Hmmm, now as wacky and goofy as she is one would think that a member of congress saying such things as the President having knowledge of the attacks would be news? Why not ?
Yes, it's up to her voter constituency. And if the Republicans can't run a winning candidate they have no one to blame but themselves. And they ought to look in a mirror and figure out why they can't do it.
Well perhaps if it was covered a bit better in the news her constituency would know more wouldn't they? Yes, it's all the Republicans fault. Sure, more power to a nit wit like her, why not she's from your party right ? Of course part of the problem is people who would pull the lever just because it had a D or R in front of the name regardless of their words or actions. You said today or yesterday it's all about electing (D)'s (maybe that's why she's there) As a (D) if you were a voter in her district would you vote for her ?
"Well first of all what kind of P.R do you think it gives AlQuieda and other enemies when they can sight and quote a member of our own congress accuising the President of the United States of having knowledge of the attacks ? "
Someone will put her on a list. It all starts with a list. Should people weigh their honest opinions against how they will play with Al Qaeda.?
"Actually she said it a few days ago, why do you suppose the mainstream press hasn't said much? "
I don't know where you learned about her comments but they were readily found in many mainstream sources for several days. I guess you have some idea on the extent they should have been aired, or printed and it's not enough to suit you, obviously.
"As a (D) if you were a voter in her district would you vote for her ?"
Good question and a fair one. I'd do what I could to support an opposition candidate from the Democratic side, and weigh the rest of her record. But given a choice between her and a Republcan, I'd vote for her.
Well first of all what kind of P.R do you think it gives AlQuieda and other enemies when they can sight and quote a member of our own congress accuising the President of the United States of having knowledge of the attacks ? "
Someone will put her on a list. It all starts with a list. Should people weigh their honest opinions against how they will play with Al Qaeda.?
Sure they should but when a member of congress accuses the President of knowing of mass murder it goes beyond that and you know it.
I don't know where you learned about her comments but they were readily found in many mainstream sources for several days. I guess you have some idea on the extent they should have been aired, or printed and it's not enough to suit you, obviously.
Frankly a friend of mine brought it up and I did some digging. And I look at quite a few news outlets daily. May I ask where you heard it ? I didn't see it on the local news, our hometown papers. Do you think that the coverage has been what it should be ? Again we aren't talking about what someone said on a talk show. Do you think had it been an R to make such ridiculous statements you wouldn't see every cable news and every other media outlet covering it ? Do you remember the outcry when the moron Helms said Clinton shouldn't come to South Carolina because they coulnd't guarantee his safety ? It was in the news, The MAINSTREAM news for 2 days. Again keeping in mind the weight of the accusations and a memeber of congress saying it do you think the coverage has been adequate ?
But given a choice between her and a Republcan, I'd vote for her.
And that's where you and I part company. The difference is I wouldn't if it was an (R). I'd vote for another party or abstain from that portion of the voting. If you could in good conscience vote for a woman who made those accusations and statements that no doubt bring pleasure to our enemies then obviously principals only count for so much. I am sad to see you say that, truly I am.
"If you could in good conscience vote for a woman who made those accusations and statements that no doubt bring pleasure to our enemies then obviously principals only count for so much. I am sad to see you say that, truly I am."
It wasn't a personal attack Rick and I'm sorry you took it that way. My apologies if you did, it wasn't my intnet. I was trying to tell you that hearing you say that makes me feel hopeless. It does so because you've always struck me as open minded and all in all a good Joe who might be completley different politically than me but also has a good sense of fairness. None of that's changed I just am disheartened to hear you say that you'd still vote for her even after her disgusting comments simply due to party. Perhaps that's why she's still there.
Consider the way you posed the scenario to me. Given the comments she made, should we now discount the rest of her record, the views of her district? She's been in Congress for many years. Her father served many years in the Georgia House. Would I work against her -- Yes. Maybe I'd vote a Third Party. That's an idea, too, But don't make me guilty of something because I'm loyal. In my opinion that's evidence of principals, too.
I don't think she's guilty of anything besides running her mouth. Tomorrow, she won't be in jail for it.
Really, this is what the fight against terrorism is all about. This is freedom. Saudi Arabia, and Al Qaeda lose every every time people speak freely; and we win.
The Wall Street Journal this morning is blasting the Bush Administration for turning on its principles and it's becoming plain, that, in terms of trade and foreign policy the group in the White House has not had a good spring.
Bush's tariff on steel has angered most of the world and the nation that is supposed to stand for democracy seems to be losing its bearings.
"Consider the almost-coup in Venezuela," said the Journal's lead editorial. "When democratically elected(my emphasis) president Hugo Chavez seemed to have been deposed by the military, the White House expressed quick satisfaction. This put the U.S. at odds with every Latin leader, but especially with 20 years of American lectures on the uses of democracy.
"Freedom is measured by more than the right to vote, and Mr. Chavez, a Fidel Castro clone, has behaved as an anti-American thug. But he is a twice-elected thug, and some expression on behalf of democratic values from the White House would have helped U.S. credability in the long run. Now we learn, after Mr. Chavez retained his office, that the coup plotters had met earlier with US officials. Even accepting U,S. statements that they merely listened to the plotters, this makes the Bush Administration look bumbling, if not cynical. It won't help Mr. Bush preach the virtues of democracy in, say, Iraq."
I spent a month touring with my reggae/polka/surf band, The Windstorm Farts.
We were doing okay until some horny old Republican with bad eyesight booked us under the blindly mistaken impression that we were The Winsome Tarts.
We showed up at his gig, hearing chants of "Show us your titties!" before the stage curtain was even raised.
Larry, our drummer, who is very accommodating, exposed his hairy chest.
Being shockingly unlike what those boys were expecting, the Irate Powers That Be effectively blacklisted us from performing anywhere except maybe Cambodia.
So our rock 'n' roll dreams were crushed.
I'm into a new venture, however.
My cousin's friend's uncle's sister's neighbor's husband is one of those U.S. Army forensic team guys that scour the ruins of blown-up, burnt-out Afghan villages, convoys, etc. -- after Dubya's bombed 'em -- to look for parched traces of Osama.
It dawned on me that blackened people flakes would make good, high-protein goldfish food.
So I've arranged for the forensic guy to ship me sacks of charred remains.
We'll split the profits, which I imagine will be huge, once I convince WalMart to dump its current, inferior line of fish grub.
Now, if I could just bribe somebody into mining the ruins of scorched and bulldozed Jenin...
Well, that's it for now.
I'll post again when Engineer George drives his Hellbound Train past another major milepost on the tracks to oblivion.
Your band should have played betters halls. Your gig sounds like what might transpire in the shank of the evening at VFW near Lake and Lyndale when all the women start looking like Britney Spears.
Opps! I Did it again. The vets on this board won't like that. Maligned 'em again.
Did fold take his board down?
I still see it.
I don't.
Then he gave you the boot.
I hardly posted there at all. And I didn't do anything to get booted. It is due to his pathological hatred of me. That's okay when people like fold hate me I know I am doing something right.
I can't? How did I get this?

Amazing.
Sometime Soon, JT is going to bounce your ass, and I cannot wait to see the day.

But, as long as you are happy, eh?
This is the type of thing that I have to deal with in fold:
'Bill - Fold' - 02:54pm Apr 10, 2002 PST (#25 of 25)
Nothing But The Best
BUT... Jethro, is THE stupidest person in America.
Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.
Everyone's talking about it too!
It's Whacky!!!
Now why should I bother?
I show much more respect than fold, Bud. Maybe you should take some of your own advice. By the way I ain't sloop.
As for fold you are the bottom of the barrel as far as I am concerened. If you keep it up the rest will see what I see in you.
As for your board, fold, you don't follow your own rules so why would anyone but a few left wingers want to post there? You show no respect to people that disagree with you.
I am for it, as long as it is done as humanely as possible.
I am wondering... Do any of you NOT support animal research, to find answers to the treatment of diseases in Humans?
I'm with Wolvie on this one. Trouble is, they're rarely humane about it. I'd rather give my life than to know that thousands of animals were tortured to save mine.
Although a permanent international court has been the globalists' dream since the end of World War II, it wasn't until widespread violence broke out in places like the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda in the 1990s that Kofi Annan and his cohorts went to work....Once in motion, their court would claim jurisdiction over every person in the world and grant the ICC prosecutor extraordinary powers and ICC officials lifetime immunity.
American news networks have done something very strange. They've decided America should not see why it is at war. By the evening of Sept. 11, the news networks unanimously decided that Americans should not see any footage of people leaping to their deaths from the top of the World Trade Center. Most American networks have never shown these pictures even once.
However, these images were broadcast for weeks around the world on foreign television networks, and have been often been cited as a chief source of the world's support for the war on terrorism.
Given that 3 million teenagers contract sexually transmitted diseases every year, reducing sexual activity--not just making it "safer"--is imperative. A recent report from The Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector compiles ten separate scientific evaluations of abstinence programs throughout the country, and each course analyzed has made significant strides in keeping kids out of compromising positions.
I don't understand why they tried to sterilize what truly happened either. The truth is the truth.
That "Townhall.Com"... They sure have the answers to everything...!
Now fold you know that I know that isn' true. It is a site for commentary. Now why should I spend all day writing something when I can post something already written?
Law school isn't as difficult as some people believe. All you have to do is get the nutshell version of a course read it and take the test.

Why not ?
Rick,
Well first of all what kind of P.R do you think it gives AlQuieda and other enemies when they can sight and quote a member of our own congress accuising the President of the United States of having knowledge of the attacks ? "
Sure they should but when a member of congress accuses the President of knowing of mass murder it goes beyond that and you know it.
And that's where you and I part company. The difference is I wouldn't if it was an (R). I'd vote for another party or abstain from that portion of the voting. If you could in good conscience vote for a woman who made those accusations and statements that no doubt bring pleasure to our enemies then obviously principals only count for so much. I am sad to see you say that, truly I am.
"If you could in good conscience vote for a woman who made those accusations and statements that no doubt bring pleasure to our enemies then obviously principals only count for so much. I am sad to see you say that, truly I am."
Personal attack noted.
I'm sad, too.
Rick, not trying to speak for Luv2Fly but, I don't think he meant it as a personal attack as such.
I believe Luv2Fly respects you and truly is saddened by your position.
JMHO
Rob:
You say it wasn't personal, I believe you.
I'm not in favor of cutting off Israel. It's still a small country surrounded by enemies.
Half the money sent to Israel comes back to the United States in arms purchases
But if Israel gets the notion to again start taking land, they should pay for that themselves.
For the real target of this ICC is the sovereignty and independence of the United States. Its very creation is a statement by the "international community" that human rights trump national sovereignty, that the U.N. has the moral and legal right to intervene in nations to end human rights abuses as it defines them, and to try, convict and imprison national leaders.

Curriculum Wars Rage in the Classroom
Howdy!
Long time no see.
We'll split the profits, which I imagine will be huge, once I convince WalMart to dump its
current, inferior line of fish grub.
Now, if I could just bribe somebody into mining the ruins of scorched and bulldozed Jenin...
Well, that's it for now.
I'll post again when Engineer George drives his Hellbound Train past another major milepost on the tracks to oblivion.
Till then, I leave you with two words:
Hugo Chavez.
That, Dennis: What a card.
Give him a hand, folks. He'll be back.
Your band should have played betters halls. Your gig sounds like what might transpire in the shank of the evening at VFW near Lake and Lyndale when all the women start looking like Britney Spears.
Opps! I Did it again. The vets on this board won't like that. Maligned 'em again.
They're descending on me.
Incoming.....
Hey! Dennis, wait up.!!!!
