Because no self-respecting cat would ever allow itself to be tricked out as in the attached picture.

Obligatory warning: dog owners should exercise caution in opening the attached picture, as it could cause irreparable damage to their self-esteem. Poster is not liable for any resulting damage from viewing picture. Get a cat, you fools!

Those poor dogs.

je l'ai vu en "pants central", je pense.

whoa. it's been a long time since i could put a complete sentence together in french and know what it means.

français est votre première langue?

<edit>what's that mean? translated the way it was supposed to be, except i remember the french as being qu'est-ce que ça veut dire.

So, shouldn't you deduct some points from the dog tally over that picture?

Heh, Babelfish comes up with some weird ones. What I said was 'what does that mean?'

Cool huh!

My cats are very large, the small one, Isis, weighs 14 pounds, and the big one, Bast, weighs 20 pounds.

The most hilarious thing I ever had to say was “BAST! DROP THAT DOG! NOW!” when he tried to eat my neighbors dog.

Hi LLionne! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! If I ever tried to do something like that to my cats, they would disown me!

Hi THX! Boy, you read some very interesting stuff! Thanks for all the fish!

I would deduct points for stupidity but I've seen some stupid looking cats too. :-)

Babelfish is fun for us single language speakers but, it can't be trusted.

Hey T3, yeah, their white clothes and if you recall the "Jail Scene" EVERYTHING was white except the guards. She calls it "The White Movie" cuz everything is so sterile.

Cool huh!

Cool indeed! My cats are cowards. Someone rings the doorbell and they run off growling. I still love em anyway.

Some cats only look stupid to fool us humans into thinking that they don't own the world...

As much as I love cats........ Hairless Cats? Now that's just plain stupid, not to mention ugly.

My cats check everyone out, but they never hurt any one because we trained them not to. And they are NOT declawed, I don't believe in mutilating my animals.....

Heresy! For that, you are sentenced to 30 days as designated scratching post at Papa Hemingway's house!

Ernest Hemingway, writer and famous cat lover, made his home on the small island of Key West, Florida. He shared the island with nearly fifty cats, including a polydact cat (six toes) given to him by a ship captain (Hemingway coined the phrase, "One cat just leads to another."). Some of the island cats are descendents of this cat.

Almost half of the 60+ cats who still live in and around his home, now a museum, are polydacts.

Babelfish has trouble with the fact that French nouns are either male or female....for instance, a female American is an 'americaine', a male American is an 'americain' but Babelfish doesn't recognize the female version. Sexist pig translator software!

Also, I speak colloquial French because I learned conversationally from my husband and family and tend to use a lot of slang. :)

But I do know some great curse words in French that Babelfish won't translate--comes in very handy on the boards! :)

I don't declaw my cats either. People aren't aware of this but, It's comparable to taking your fingers and cutting them off at the first knuckle. I could never do that to anything, not even a DOG. :-)

OUCH!

Hairless cats were bred to be that way by some very stupid humans....

The same people that invented the hot dog outfits for those poor dogs?

Also, there was a story a while back about a female cat who saved her family's lives by waking them up in the middle of the night when their house caught on fire. In the process, she was very badly burned--which she could have avoided by just escaping out the window. The community banded together to get her the best medical care available, and I believe she is still alive, will check.

That story always makes me cry a little (though in fairness I have to confess that stories about dogs saving their humans also make me cry.)

What did we ever do to deserve such love?

Cats would mostly just attack back or run away and find a better home.

Say, this brings us to: ANOTHER REASON TO VOTE FOR CATS!!!

Cats won't put up with our bullshit.

My vote would have to go for cats! We have dogs that also live with us, that belong to Marleys brother, I like them and all, but I mostly feel sorry for them. They are a pitbull and a pit/lab mix (remind me of THX's pitbull story-these dogs are the same way) they aren't bad dogs they just have a bad owner. Our cats don't take their s#it though, the dogs back down every time (or risk a face full of claws)

I would never do anything to the dog, but sometimes I do think about strangling its owners! ;)

P.S. THX, just wanted to make sure you knew that I am still voting for CATS! :)

I have to admit that I'm allergic to cats and thereby biased. I envy dogs' ability to be completely and un-self-consciously goofy.

Thus, another vote for dogs.

well, if you cast them, well, let's just say that frosti couldn't keep his earwormming over in your house. so, i had to create a re-education camp here too. all earworms. all the time. :)

Wily, let me just put it this way: if you vote for dogs again, my genetically mutated form in the Re-education Camp is gonna develop a passion for you

Too late. The Biomedical Research staff has just finished rescrambling your DNA and has rendered it completely inert.

You're harmless.

That'll be another 350 for dogs, thank you.
