Man, I wish I wasn't at work today. It's so nice out, I'd rather be working on painting the house.

natural selection at its finest. but hey, everyone has the right to be stupid. some people just abuse the privilege.

No one represents the unbridled fury and savagery of barbarism as much as Attila the Hun. Even in the twentieth century one of the worst names that could be found for the Germans was to call them Huns. Attila, as the greatest Hun leader,is the stereotypical sacker of cities and killer of babies. In his own day he and his Huns were known as the "Scourge of God," and the devastation they caused in Gaul before the great Battle of Chalons in 451 AD became a part of medieval folklore and tradition.

OK? That is NOT me.

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 12:52 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

If that's not you, why did you proclaim yourself to be Attila the Hun?

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 12:58 PM Permalink
ares

yes dear. whatever you say dear. i'm just quoting what i heard (and wrote down for safe keeping)

You also had been drinking and took to long to find paper and pen to write down what you thought you heard. So much for your 'secret weapon' Ares. He was probly too busy thinking about what happens in his 'mystery machine' at the time to really here what was said :)

I said that Mark calls me Hon (short for Honey) and it just reminds me sometimes of Atilla the Hun. Not that I WAS Atilla the Hun.

See if you guys get to come over again

ok, one glass of wine doesn't affect me. the brandy in the coke might have (considering i had to dilute it with more coke), but it doesn't matter because kids didn't have anything to drink.

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 1:07 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Yse, I did not have anything to drink. I can only imagine how crazy I'd be when I'm tipsy

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 1:09 PM Permalink

you should already know how 'tipsy' you can get in that Mystery Machine of yours :)

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 1:13 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

You can't imagine how many shocks and springs I go through for the Mystery Machine. You'd think there were hydraulics on it.

Is that why you drove the blue car the other night? cause the MM is in the shop :)

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 1:23 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Blue car? Umm, it's gray. But it was late at night, and there is also the wine factor. Naw, I figured if I went to your place with the MM, I'd be leaving with all sorts of women who'd want a ride.

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 1:25 PM Permalink

It better be a ride AROUND the park ::geeesh::

Ares, my 14 year didn't know what a hoopty is.

We must be getting old.

you're kidding, right? she's in high school. she should have heard the word.

I think perhaps now it's referred to as a "tricked-out ride"

Wed, 05/29/2002 - 2:01 PM Permalink
THX 1138

She'll be in HS next year and no, I'm not kidding. She's never heard the term "Hoopty".

She informed me that it's simply called a "Ride" now. As in "Man, that 'Stang of Ares is one sweet ride".

I told her the term "Ride" was older than I was. She said it didn't matter. She then informed me that I am old.

One free bingo card!

And THX, how does it feel to be "old"?

I understand my parents more each day.

ThoseMedallingKids

One more bingo card, yes! That increases my chances of winning bingo.

You understand them more every day? Is that a good thing?

You understand them more every day? Is that a good thing?

I just now understand how my parents saw me when I was 14. It's not good or bad, it just is.
