aw shucks...
<blushing/>
I don't know if the thread has been officially opened or titled yet but how about a question. What is the most commonly sang karoke tune ? My vote(s) Crazy , by Patsy Kline or the runner up........ I've got friends in low places by Garth Brooks. Either way it seems when they are sung, the singer is A) Inhebriated B) wayyyy off key.
LOL!
I vote for Patsy Cline.
i took artemis's suggestion. i'm not gonna create a new thread. seems to me that this one thread here will do just fine for all aspects of lyrics.
the singer is A) Inhebriated B) wayyyy off key.
I don't know any other way to karaoke
Puts wide collared sequined jumpsuit on.
You don't bring me flowers.........Anymore
THE ROSE! Thats one of the most songs sung. which brings me to...my next post...
well, since this is my bar now,
:: digs out his jon bon jovi voice ::
you want committment?
then take a look into these eyes.
they burn with fire
until the end of time.
and i would do anything.
i'd beg, i'd steal, i'd die
to have you in these arms tonight.
baby, i want you
like the roses want the rain.
you know i need you
like a poet needs a pain.
and i would give anything,
my blood, my love, my life,
if you were in these arms tonight.
i'd hold ya. i'd need ya.
i'd get down on my knees for you,
and make everything alright
if you were in these arms.
i'd love ya. i'd please ya.
i'd tell you that i'd never leave ya.
and love you till the end of time
if you were in these arms tonight.
we stared at the sun
and we made a promise.
a promise this world
would never blind us.
and these were our words.
our words were our songs.
our songs are our prayers.
these prayers keep me strong
and i still believe
if you were in these arms
i'd hold ya. i'd need ya.
i'd get down on my knees for you,
and make everything alright
if you were in these arms.
i'd love ya. i'd please ya.
i'd tell you that i'd never leave ya.
and love you till the end of time
if you were in these arms tonight.
your clothes are still scattered
all over our room
this whole place still smells
like your cheap perfume
everything here reminds me of you
there's nothing i wouldn't do.
and these were our words
they keep me strong, baby.
i'd hold ya. i'd need ya.
i'd get down on my knees for you,
and make everything alright
if you were in these arms.
i'd love ya. i'd please ya.
i'd tell you that i'd never leave ya.
and love you till the end of time
if you were in these arms tonight.
if you were in these arms tonight.
if you were in these arms tonight.
if you were in these arms. baaaaaabyyyyyyy.
like the roses need the rain
like the seasons need to change
like the poet needs the pain need you
in these arms tonight.
if you were in these arms tonight.
damn, that sounds a lot better when i sing it in the car with the stereo turned way up.
Song sung blue everybody knows one
Song sung blue every garden grows one
Me and you are subject to the blues now and then
Oh when you take the blues and make a song
Good lord You sing em out again Sing em out again
Song sung blue weeping like a willow
Song sung blue sleeping on my pillow
Funny thing but you can't sing it with a cry in your voice
And before you know it starts to feeling good
you simply got no choice you simply got no choice
Song sung blue everybody knows one OK
Song sung blue every garden grows one
second verse
Song sung blue weeping like a willow
Song sung blue sleeping on my pillow
Funny thing but you can't sing it with a cry in your voice
And before you know it starts to feeling good
Song sung blue everybody knows one OK
Song sung blue every garden grows one
Funny thing but you can't sing it with a cry in your voice
And before you know it starts to feeling good
OK everyone...raise your hands in the air and begin to sway with me :)
Funny thing but you can't sing it with a cry in your voice
And before you know it starts to feeling good ......
OK everyone...raise your hands in the air and begin to sway with me :)

All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

"So sing to me baby you're song can carry me, sing to me baby your song can carry me, sing to me baby, sing to me baby, sing to me baaaybaaay" ---Candlebox- Its Allright
SNL was so funny last night. It was a repeat from, I think January. Britney Spears. Farrel did his rendition of Neil Diamond singing America. I laughed outloud. That is 2 weeks in a row for NEIL :)
I saw that one too Me2. Jimmy's Olympic songs had me laughing pretty hard.
Well I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good
Well I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow
Showers wash
All my cares away
I wake up to a sunny day
'Cause I love a rainy night
Yes I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good
Well I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow
Puts a song
In this heart of mine
Puts a smile on my face every time
'Cause I love a rainy night
Yes I love a rainy night
Ooh I love a rainy night
Yeah I love a rainy night
ok, bill, i'm too young for your song. who did it, and what's it called?
A fella by the name of Morris Albert
little joesy
Artemis-good tune for this rainy weather :)
and Ares-Feelings was a tune from the mid 70's---way before your time:)
This one if for you BILL....we can all cry together...
Feelings, nuthin' more than feelings,
Tryin' to forget my,
Feelings of love . . .
Teardrops, rollin' down on my face,
Tryin' to forget my,
Feelings of love . . .
Feelings, for all my life I'll feel it,
I wish I'd never met you girl,
You'll never come again . . .
( You'll never come again, never, never ! )
Feelings, Oh Oh Oh feelings,
Oh Oh Oh feel you,
Again in my arms . . . ( Again, again! )
( Feelings, feelings like I've never lost you,
And feelings like I've never held you again in my arms! )
Feelings, for all my life I'll feel it,
I wish I'd never met you girl,
You'll never come again . . .
( You'll never come again, never, never ! )
Feelings, Oh Oh Oh feelings,
Oh Oh Oh feel you,
Again in my arms . . . ( Again, again! )
Again in my arms!
way before your time:)
just you remember that too (cuz i know its not before yourtime ;)
Ares, is that a molecule of Caffeine??
yup. someone sent me a better one somewhere. i just have to find it.
Waitin' for Ares song.
Come on Ares, don't be shy.
You should hear me sing.
It starts with
One thing, I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme to explain in due time
All I know
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal
You Didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn't even know
I wasted it all
just to watch you go
I kept everything inside
And even though I tried
It all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a
memory of a time when
I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
I had to fall, to lose it all
But in the end it doesn't even matter
WHOOAAA
One thing, I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme to remind myself how
I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so [far]
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me in the end
I kept everything inside
And even though I tried
It all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a
memory of a time
I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
I had to fall to lose it all
But in the end it doesn't even matter
I put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There's only one thing you should know
I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There's only one thing you should know
I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
I had to fall to lose it all
But in the end it doesn't even matter
cool. i can keep posts from scrolling under my avatar this way :)
What song is that and by whom?
in the end by linkin park off their hybrid theory disc.
Haven't really listened to Linkin Park.
Isn't Linkin Park on the east side, near Battle Creek? ;)
:: frantically searching for his guide ::
dammit! its at home!
Tsk tsk. You never know when a treasure hunt may break out and you'll need your guide. You need to be prepared!
what shall i do for my pennance?
and speaking of the guide, anyone know what happened to steve? i sent him an email to inquire about his plan for updating the guide over the course of the summer, and it bounced back to me. weird.
So we should change "WHERE'S JAKE?" to "WHERE'S STEVE?"
mystery solved
Tsk tsk. You never know when a treasure hunt may break out and you'll need your guide. You need to be prepared!
thats funny, I just saw my guide today while moving books to a new location-incase I forget-it is on the frontporch.
and Ian, did you use TMK's Mystery Machine to solve the case of THE MISSING TREASURE GUIDE WRITER?
post marked, j. if ya don't remember where it is, ask me. of course if you don't remember where its at, you prolly won't remember i marked the post either :)
ian hunted him down using returnpath.com.
She gave me the Queen
She gave me the King
She was wheelin' and dealin'
Just doin' her thing
She was holding a pair
But I had to try
Her duce was wild
But my ace was high
But how was I to know that she'd been dealt with before
Said she'd never had the full house
But I should have known
From the tattoo on her left leg
And the garter on her right
She'd have the card to bring me down
if she played it right......
Any guesses?
AC/DC - "She's got the Jack".
I think it was on the "Dirty Deeds" album???
Holy crap THX! Nice job. I didn't think anybody checked this link that often. I didn't even have time to post any hints.
She's got the Jack but I've got the Joe!
Well, I might have the album if I got the album right?
It's the only AC/DC CD I've got.
I believe it was on High Voltage. Still, nice job. That's an old tune.
Yeah, that's the album. I used to have it on vinyl. I was in Jr High when Back in Black came out so that album's gotta be pretty old.
I'm outta here for the night.
Try to stump us again. I'll check it out tomorrow.
G'Nite!
High Voltage was the first AC/DC album I ever owned. Christmas present from my folks. Thanks mom & dad!
Dizzam.. a song forum??
Well I'm headed down the southern trail, I'm goin' Chicken huntin'.
Choppin' red neck chicken necks I ain't sayin' nothin'
To the hillbilly, stick my barrel in his eye, boom-shaka, boom-shaka,
Hair chunks in the sky.
Why? I, never liked chicken pot pie or the chopped chicken on rye.
Tell Mr. Billy Bob I'm a cut his neck up
Slice, poke, chop-chop, stab, cut.
"What can you do with a drunken hillbilly?"
Cut his fuckin' eyes out, and feed 'em to his Aunt Nilly.
Willie, Willie Chicken neck. Chicken huntin' gotta love it.
Hit him with the 12 gauge bucket, Chicken nuggets.
Layed out all over the grass. Bet his little hound dog'll eat 'em up fast.
(Pre-Chorus):
Last as long as you can, my man,
Cuz when that chicken head hits the fan you got:
Blood, Guts, Fingers and Toes. (w/ echoes)
Blood, Guts, Fingers and Toes. (w/ echoes)
Blood, Guts, Fingers and Toes. (w/ echoes)
Sittin' front row at the chicken show, so...
(End prechorus)
(Chorus):
"Who's goin' chicken huntin?"
"We's goin' chicken huntin'."
"Who's goin' chicken huntin?"
"We's goin' chicken huntin'."
"Who's goin' chicken huntin?"
"We's goin' chicken huntin'."
"Cut a motherfuckin' chicken now, "
"Right!"
(Chorus)
Lemme get a chicken sandwich, with manwich, ah,
Feel the red on a Chicken neck.
Choppin up hella yeah, Billy bob Billy
Cuz I chop motherfuckin' red necks silly.
Peeped in your yard tell me what did I see?
I seen a chicken boy, fuckin' this sheep. I said,
"Mister, mister, What the fuck you tryin' to do?"
Badau-bad-a-badau-badau-bau
Barrels in your mouth, bullets to your head,
The back of your neck's all over the shed.
Boom-shaka-boom, chop, chop, bang,
I'm 2 Dope, and it ain't no thing
To cut a chicken, triggers clickin'
Blow off his head but his feet still kickin'
(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)
Went to Kentucky, I got lucky,
Met this hogcallin' bitch named Blocky.
Ridin' on a chicken, milkin' a sow.
Hittin' switches in a drop-top, low-ride tractor. Wow.
Red neck fella, moon-shine sella,
Hangin' by his neck bone. Chicken bone's locked in the cella',
Yella' bellied chicken plucka'. You red neck fucka!
(Chorus)
