Ralph got up too early too. Ralph was up late and was gonna come into work late but Ralph showed up only 15 minutes late.
Sam should go back to bed. That's what Ralph would do if Ralph was at home.

sam would go back to bed, were sam not wide awake. see, once sam is awake, sam cannot get back to sleep. and since sam is fully awake, he's gonna make a trip downtown and get pictures of the last remaining lucy statues he needs.
sam had a good 4th. sam's sister had a good birthday. sam's sister's would-be boyfriend, if she made any time for guys stopped by yesterday. sam introduced him to sam's knife. just to make sure his good-girl sister stays a good-girl :)

Man it's quiet today.
Last night was even quiet. Usually in our neighborhood they shoot off fireworks until 3:00 AM. I got to sleep around 1:30 last night and didn't hear any going off.
You think that knife is gonna matter? I've got 5 sisters and I've found that they're gonna do what they're gonna do. :-)

So ares is collecting photos of Lucy. Interesting. Didn't know you were into that.
Pressure washers are fun! Inks got one earlier this year and has found many useful things to do with it.
We went down to the beach to watch fireworks over the lake last night. It was cool enough that the skeeters stayed away and we didn't need bug stuff. I can't remember a 4th of July that we didn't get pestered from bugs while watching fireworks.
Things quieted down about midnight so that wasn't too bad...but if anyone had wanted to sleep before that, they would have needed earplugs.
Another gorgeous day here in the north. It's 72 degrees, dry, and there's a nice breeze blowing.

Hi everyone! We got rained out on Saturday night but had fun playing some game of AW's! No fireworks at the TASTE! Called it an early eve.
Anyone here golf? This is a pic of some famous David guy? golfer- who won this trophy. We got to meet him at the Mall of America a few days ago. It was pretty cool. we played a putting game--If we would have gotten a 'hole in one' than we would have won tickets to some PGA match here in Minnesota but all we got were these Tommy Hilfiger caps---but this guy David Tomm? signed the caps :)
hahaha-I just now see the 'famous dave' inquiry there... and since we kindof BBQ'd last night it is making me want ribs smothered in BBQ sauce!
oooooooh, and corn on the cob sounds great now too.
Since I work at a golf store at MOA, I can answer who that guy is. The gentleman is David Toms, winner of last years PGA Championship. The tournament this year will be held at Hazeltine Golf course this year, here in Minnesota.

i love to tell the story about the first game of golf i ever played. shot an 85 or so. which sounds impressive until i tell you it was on a 9-hole course.

The long weekend is winding to a close - but it's been a good one, hasn't it?
We got into golfing for awhile...but decided that running around after a little white ball getting more and more frustrated with the whole thing wasn't worth it. We gave it up to protect our sanity. Hehehehe
I wonder if there will be fireworks from the Taste tonight. Looks like rain moving in just in time to get in the way of a good show. I was looking forward to them as the ones on the lake up north were okay, but I guess I'm spoiled.
coincidentally, that's the only round of golf i've ever played :)
aw, kids, me2, and i were quite disappointed with the *lack* of fireworks from the taste last nite. so if it rains, don't be surprised if they cancel them again.
Checking the radar loop, looks like rain is moving in so I guess I won't count on any show.

Now that is what my husband Mark says---whats the point in running after a little white ball. Well now the funny thing is that they have a yearly golf game through work and also he go's at least 2 other times with co-workers NOW he does not care to golf BUT guess who would like to go? ME! :(

i keep telling my sister that she ought to take a golf class at st. kates for a phys. ed. requirement. after all she's gonna be a doctor, she better know how to play the game. she's just not into the whole concept.
My sister joined a golf league thingy through work and loves it. Perhaps you could find something like that?
I know that my daughter likes to play, to be in a 'club' at her age, she needs to already be signed up for next year NOW (at Phalen).

golf is one of those things i'd love to learn how to play. i just never saw the logic behind paying a hundred bucks for the credit to take it in college. well, until after college when a hundred bucks to learn to play golf is chump change.
Some of those club things fill up fast. Golfing has gotten more popular now so I suppose that's even worse.
It's all a matter of perspective - poor college student or comfortable gainful employee. Hehehehehe
well, i've resorted to frisbee golf to satisfy my "keep the score as low as possible" needs.
Do you really play frisbee golf? Mark used to play and I know he wants to again! Now you two have something to talk about next time your over :)----AND, that sport is a great way to get to know the St Paul park system.

cool. but how am i supposed to get to know the st. paul parks system with only one course in the city? north valley's in igh, acorn's in roseville, there's one or 2 in cottage grove, but as for saint p., its just highland.

In todays Bulletin Board (Pioneer Press)...or was it yesterdays...a woman wrote in about how she has a mailbox with a red flag ---she says she ALWAYS puts mail out to go and puts the flag up, JUST SO SHE KNOWS WHEN HE COMES WITH MAIL--- so when the mailman comes by he puts the flag down so she knows he came right?
well, then she says she does this and the cool thing is on rainy or snowy days she knows not to run out and check her mailbox for mail cause the flag would be still up, right?
well, then my question is...wouldn't you have to go out in the rain or snow to put the mail in the mailbox and put the flag up so you know when the mailman comes and puts the flag down? so whats the point?

terry, i feel your pain when you were installing all of the critical updates on your computer up nort'. i did it on my server the other day, and i'm doing it with windows xp on my parent's machine right now. this is painful even over dsl!
