long time, no post I'll be returning to minnesnowta the weekend of the 22nd and if the gosh darn medallion hasnt been foun yet while I might just have to go wrassle it up!
"Stand Tall" in the first clue along with clue #3 makes me think it's in a park with an overlook such as Kellogg, Summit, Indian Mounds, Linwood, or something like that. Hmmm, looking at the maps, I'd actually say Kellogg is a decent bet with lots of squares and circles and Cedar St. being nearby.
Hey RH & AW. I don't have my book with me here @ work but is there a Sequoia St, Ave, Blvd, etc. by any parks? I don't think it's referring to a name since it's not capitalized. I gotta say that IM looks good with only 2 clues thus far.
Not sure if there even is such a street at all in St. Paul. Regardless of what I've posted previously, it does seem a bit early to be having clues about street names.
I think we're supposed to add something up? A king is worth 13 in a deck of cards and a queen worth 12 which adds up to 25, but I don't think that's it. Seems to have something to do with money...
Thomas Paine wrote "Common Sense" and Benjamin Franklin talked about being healthy, wealthy and wise, and they were part of the revolution against a king and queen. Nathan Hale was also part of the revolution and has a statue on SUMmit Ave. Or maybe I'm just channeling Me2?
So if King = 13, Queen = 12, Common cents = 41, Eight clues = 8, and the double L of "ya'll" = 11 it adds up to 85, the year it was found in Kellogg! It's so obvious!
Clue 1 Its a past marker you'll see which park where, eventually but for now just stand tall knowing it's in our beloved St.Paul. A square on a circle and a circle on a square find both of these the treasure is there.
Clue 2 Around our coin there's two big woods both from California, and when its hot you drink a lot of water, not Ammonia.
Clue 3 Flashy red neon in sky blue, to see more than one is half the clue.
Clue 4 Kings and Queens control the wealth, Common sense can save your health. Eight more clues now have some fun, Come on ya'll and get you sum.
The clue doesn't sound like it was written in a way to make you simply think of banks or hospitals, especially since we already know we can see one bank anyway. Sounds more like it's meant to be a puzzle.
If we assume clue #2 is really just talking about what the treasure is hidden in and isn't meant to allude to the park at all, then I'd say either Kellogg or Cherokee could fit the rest of the clues pretty well. Kellogg would be a fairly daring place to hide a treasure without snow cover (I know, I've tried!) Though I think Kellogg would fit the square and circle clue better.
IRA or 401k or some other savings $ for your health? Just tossing around surface ideas. Not too deep thoughts yet. Too early to dig that deep in my brain.
Something about that first clue, "but for now just stand tall knowing it's in our beloved St.Paul," really makes me think it has an overlook where you can see a good part of the city.

Hey Rush Harley! Hope to run into you in the park somewhere.
I keep having this dream of finding the medallion - but I don't know where I am when I find it. So frustrating.

Could it be I'll be the only one getting the clue tonight? Are people out hunting in the rain?

I'm here...ready!
Kings and Queens control the wealth,
Common sense can save your health.
Eight more clues now have some fun,
Come on ya'll and get you sum.
By a clinic or Hospital? Notice that sum is spelled like an amount. Of 8 or something.
I think we're supposed to add something up? A king is worth 13 in a deck of cards and a queen worth 12 which adds up to 25, but I don't think that's it. Seems to have something to do with money...
Kings and Queens...always first makes me think landmark center.
Sounds like summing all this up will get you to the park.
Right now Marley King and Queen Artemis control this wealth!
nice one TV
What if you added up the 13 for the king, 12 for the queen, whatever amount common sense would be, the 8 more clues....33 plus the sense.
Think I'll go noodle this and the rest over a bit of dinner.
BBIAW
Nice seeing you again Clue Master!

Common cents would be 41 (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter).

Maybe you can see a bank and/or a hospital nearby. 8 of something? picnic tables, trees, swings etc.
If you leave out the 11 you get 74 which is one of the years it was in Cherokee.
Good one ;-) I liked the ya'll thing though.
your thinking the same as me AW - we are channeling big time :)
Maybe a 'free' clinic
The clue doesn't sound like it was written in a way to make you simply think of banks or hospitals, especially since we already know we can see one bank anyway. Sounds more like it's meant to be a puzzle.
I agree

ok. we've read about the checkerboard inlaid tables at iris. what if they're not checkerboards, but rather chessboards?
LOL - Now that hurts by brain
Swede Hollow was looking pretty good 1 hour ago. saw the neon red blinking light and red cross.
it hurt mine too. welcome to the club.
and for travelling in swede hollow after dusk, i highly recommend the extra strength deep woods off.
what about Rice pk? Landmark center and King & Queen coronations held there
Something about that first clue, "but for now just stand tall

The beacon light at Mounds was used as a marker B4. And that's pretty tall. Although they did need something to rhyme with St. Paul anyway.
I have a ton of info on that beacon!
Where did everyone go?
Stand up and be accounted for....
