Someone mention beer??
eh.. nevermind.. I should be out finding a job... not drinking right now... hahahah... listen to me.. I sound like a wuss
Maybe I should actually try drinking before going to job interviews... that way, i'd be all talkative and funny and they'd hire me on the spot.... the only downside is... I probably would forget where I got hired, and maybe end up getting more jobs than I could handle.
Finally went grocery shopping spent 257.51 and saved over 65.00 with coupons and in store deals! Go to Rainbow this week-WoW! Many 'back to school' deals.
Was flipping channels on the tv thismorning and came across our St Paul poice dept gettogether memorial in Norman Mears Park - with 21 gun salute and 100 policepeople-I was wondering when they fired the guns who fell out of their apartment windows? since the park is surrounded by buildings.
Yep, I stayed up too late last night watching the Slow Donny episode. Probably the best one they've had on that show. I also watched News Radio, the one where Lisa and Dave take the SAT over. Both fab episodes. However, they are the reason for my coffee jones.
For all of you who are at work today and are not working but reading the forum! THX and Ares...
A man joined a big Multi National Company as a trainee. On his first day he dialed the cafeteria and shouted into the phone, "Get me a coffee quickly!"
The voice from the other side responded, "You fool you've dialed the wrong extension! Do you know who you're talking to, dumbo?" "No", replied the trainee. "It's the Managing Director of the company, you fool!" The man shouted back, "And do you know who YOU are talking to, you old Bastard?" "No.", replied the Managing Director. "Good!", replied the trainee and hung up the phone!
For all of you who are at work today and are not working but reading the forum! THX and Ares...
yes dear?
I see some people leave after an 8 hour work day even if the work is not complete--Generation Y!
uh, perhaps i didn't quite explain my 8 hour rule adequately the other day. 1) i will not, under any circumstances, put in more than 40 hours a week in my office. this i am incredibly anal about. now, whether or not i go home and put in 10 or 20 more in the course of the week is a different story. it happens. more often than i'd care for it to. it has its advantages. namely that i can work with a bac greater than 0.0. :)
your joke reminds me of one i heard about a college student taking the entrance exam for a class. after the professor called time, he continued writing for 5 more minutes. the professor told him he wouldn't accept his exam. the student asked the professor if he knew who he was. the professor replied the he didn't give a damn who he was and that he wasn't going to accept his exam. with that, the student stuffed his exam booklet in the middle of the stack and replied good.
before everyone leaves work whether the work is done or not, anyone care to make recommendations for body shops? i'm finally getting off my butt and having the abundance of rock chips in the hood of my mustang repaired, and would appreciate everyone's experience in the matter.
Oh God, don't get us started on that one again. Huh TV? I'm sure that we have quite a few places notto go. Hepners in Woodbury was pretty thorough though. And they give you a car to drive while yours is being worked on too. They also give you free car washes at their professional car wash down the street.
Been busy all day with our son. He arrived about 6am, slept till about noon and we've been visiting ever since. He's now gone to visit with his buddies while watching the Viking game. It's great having him home.
I don't think we've ever had body work done except for some painting after a carb fire about 15 or 20 years ago. We took it out to a place in Little Canada I think it was. Can't remember the name right off the top of my head - but they did a nice job. Any other dings we ever got weren't worth fixing so we didn't.
Yeah.. I know, ninjas.. its still over a month away, but planning in advance never hurts, does it?
Myself and Shaggs were talking earlier, and imma just throw this out here and see what ya'll think... We're thinkin that a Haloween party, of sorts for all of us would kick some ass... We were thinkin bout having one at Mounds Park (Indian Mounds Park)... they gotta fire pit, and grills n whatnot
mornin' sam. gonna build a garage today. which should be fun considering my brother has no plans whatsoever that i am aware of for it. i'm in for the party, vj.

Heh. Whatever.
Yeah.
I come from an unlucky family.
Take my uncle, Griff.
He invented a way to make telephone cords stay curly, without kinking.
Put all his life savings into developing and marketing the idea.
That was about two weeks before all the phones in the world went cordless.
Griff was broke.
And faced with a situation he just couldn't straighten out.
Wow! No posts since Friday?
Morning Sam
jt, some of us had more important things to do the last few days :) and you should have too. 'twas a good hunt.
I did have more important things to do the past few days.
Friday was a wedding. Saturday was our sons b-day party. Sunday was the Parish Festival. Monday was work. Tuesday was work. Today........work.
:-)
excuses excuses. thats all i ever hear. for all the work you did trying to get me to reveal my identity over the past year.....i mean some people. :)
Hey, I'll be around plenty during the big hunt!
:-)
ohhh. i see how it is. you can be social during the big hunt, but when its a measly practice hunt, you're too good for us then :)
you know i'm just playing with ya. i know that not everyone can let hunting become an addiction for them.
Hey, we're getting all the practice. If he lets his skills go, maybe he won't make the Varsity Treasure Hunting team this year.
I got much respect for THX and Scribe though. Good folk they are.
but when its a measly practice hunt, you're too good for us then :)
Your words, not mine. :-)

I got no skills. I just tag along with Scribe for fun & the late night breakfasts at Mickey's.
:-)
I got no skills.
