You see, that's your problem, jethro. You think it's up to YOU to decide what other people 'need.' Hate to be the one to break it to you, but it isn't and never will be. Haven't you realized that all I have to do is put you on ignore and you can't say a darn thing to me? Haven't done it yet, because I'm keeping you around for the entertainment value. Froth on, Fanatic Boy! :) Keep up with immoral rantings, baby killer. The fact is I have every right to condemn abortion and those that advocate it. Eventually things may change and abortion on a whim will be ended. People know that it is immoral and most people want it to end. They just don't want to be accused of imposing their views on others. But abortion on a whim won't end if those that oppose the butchery keep quiet. It also may well help to demonize those that advocate the butchery. It is an ass backwards world where those that defend life are condemned and those that advocate butchery are praised.
Typical that you would resort to physical attack. You said I should save some. That would be the appropriate use of it. I wouldn't do such a thing but you are worthy of it.Bombed any abortion clinics lately? Shot any doctors or nurses? I know how you frothers like to honor the sanctity of all human life by killing people you disagree with. This comment shows how extreme your desire is to keep killing on a whim legal. I don't do those things or advocate them but you try to paint the opponents with that brush. Another example of the deep dishonesty and immorality that is within you and your ilk.
Let Jethro scream... It didn't prevent one abortion...
Yes, I agree that parents are the first line for sex education... But too many are too ignorant, or too shy, to be effective. This is why sex education should be provided in schools... And when I say sex education, I mean real one... not "don't do this before you are married"!!!
You know in France now the school nurse can administer MAP without parental consent... Same in the UK, and in some Canadian provinces. This because of girls from conservative families who are afraid they will be beaten or killed by their parents. The same should be done in the US (well I read California wanted to adopt such a program).
As to abortion as first line contraception, yes I agree, it is disturbing. But don't forget: too many girls have stupid parents, or religion-addled parents and pick up whatever they know about sex from their friends... with the results you quote!!!
Abortion will never be illegal... The worse that can happen is that women will take a little trip to get one... as they did before R v. W, or they do today in Ireland...
It also may well help to demonize those that advocate the butchery.
And THEN he says THIS:
I don't do those things or advocate them but you try to paint the opponents with that brush. Another example of the deep dishonesty and immorality that is within you and your ilk.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
jethro, you should do standup, you really should. :)

Piti, oh, I agree completely. Curious here, did you have any sex education when you were in school? We had some, in what was called 'Health' class, mostly focused on just the mechanics of ovualation, conception, etc., and didn't answer any questions like 'But can you get pregnant if you do THIS....'.
Sure don't think it's smart to leave sex education of children up to TV, movies, and what they can learn from friends or on the street.
I know many parents do this, though. Unfortunately.
I am older than you are... And I was in school in the 60s (in Paris) and we didn't have sex education then. But of course my mother, pro-choice to the marrow, took me to the ob-gyn to get the pill when I needed it...
Today you do have sex education in Paris, as well as where I live... And it starts very young (my kids got it in grade 5 first)...
My mother-in-law is a nurse, so I don't know whether that was why, or if it's because she is French, but she was always very open with my husband and his brother about those things when they were young, my husband tells me.
I just can't imagine any responsible parent not preparing their children (and defending them) with knowledge like that.
Well, the only girl who got pregnant in my class was the daughter of a Christian martinet who forbade her all fun... She got pregnant and had a gunshot wedding at 18!
All my friends had very open-minded parents too. But maybe this was Paris.
OTH, the rate of abortion is lower in France than in the United States...
I don't think it is just Paris, as my in-laws moved all over France (Papa was an administrator in the postal service, so he was director of several different offices). They lived in Paris when my husband was born but moved soon afterwards. That is interesting that the abortion rate is lower in France. I wonder how much correlation there is between sex ed and availablity of birth control and a lower teen pregnancy rate?
Well, in Western Europe the highest rates of both teen pregnancies and abortions are in the UK. This is why they introduced the MAP in schools. The lowest is in Holland I think (or maybe the Scandinavian countries).
Piti made the previous statement, I asked a question that is all. She is the one getting her kids involved in sex matters at 10 or 11 years of age.
Oh, no, SHE is the one who was a responsible parent and explained the facts of life to them at that age. YOU are the one who thought about them about having unprotected sex and getting STDs. And I find that very disturbing.
Oh, no, SHE is the one who was a responsible parent and explained the facts of life to them at that age. That is at best debatable.YOU are the one who thought about them about having unprotected sex and getting STDs. And I find that very disturbing. Oh I thought they were being taught about sex because they were going to do it anyway. I simply point out that disease is out there.
Well, this HAS been amusing, but now I have to take my evil, immoral self off to a lovely island vacation.
I notice that jethro has completely avoided the question of whether or not he is a Christian, but fortunately I have quickly learned not to expect jethro to answer ANY question.
So, ares and Piti, play nicely with him while I am gone, and don't make him have a complete apoplexy until I'm back! :)

Lionne:
if you want to know more about D&X and hydrocephalus, here
http://www.gentlebirth.org/archives/hydrceph.html
Then this article shows why IMO there is no ethical problem with abortion until the 22-24 week of gestation

There is no brain so there is no "person"!
And here you see the hypocrisy of the mistakenly-called "pro-life" which I call "anti women"...

The cry of the pro abortion extremist!
Pro abortionists are evil, L. Piti is evil, L.

It seems that Jethro hasn't a clue about anything but bad English...
LOL!
awww. jethro wants us to play on his terms. isn't that sweet.
well said, lionness.

Now I believe Jethro didn't find a woman who would agree to have sex with him I believe, and who would have his children...
(the lack of brain frightens them)
So he tries to interfere in all women's decisions...
LOL!
I believe you are an angry and disturbed individual, Piti. A tool of evil. Your lack of morals should frighten anyone.
Why, sheeeyit, jethro, ah kin dun speek in more then wun langage..languge...tonge....see here, ah kin even tawk lak yew:
'Evil! Immoral! Sinners! Baby killers! Froth! Froth! Spew!'
L. Lionne 8/22/02 10:37am
LOL... Anyway the really problematic aspect of all this frothing is that it is based on Jethro's religion... And we don't live in a theocracy!
Wait! But jethro says he doesn't really HAVE a religion! So it is all just based on jethro!
And we SURE as hell don't live in a jethrocracy!
You are a despicable LIAR, Piti.
L. Lionne 8/22/02 10:40am
When I first came to this board, Jethro was posting with a sign of the cross, aussi grand que moi presque...
So I take leave to doubt that he doesn't base all this on his religion!
We live in a world where the evil filth such as yourselves can prey on innocent minds and corrupt them.
I don't know Lionne...
But Jethro reminds me of these caricatures of ignorant preachers you see in movies :-)
The cross thing was there at the suggestion of someone else. The thought was we could ward off the evil spirit or at least antagonize you.
Piti, I am serious--I told him he wasn't acting like a Christian and this is what he said:
I don't really belong to any religion. Although I grew up in a christian home and generally accept those views, I don't agree with all of them.
jethro bodine 8/21/02 7:57am
Straight from the horse's ass!
Piti you remind me of the evil in the Exorcist.
A horse's ass excretes the likes of you, L.
L. Lionne 8/22/02 10:44am
As I told, Christianity :-)
BTW, I don't know about you, but I probably have two more degrees than Jethro, and maybe three (as I doubt he finished even one college degree) :-)
oh this is too much fun to watch :)
ares 8/22/02 10:47am
Voyeur :-)
jethro bodine 8/22/02 10:44am
Well, the only people who think that a meaningless symbol can exorcize anything are...Christians
QED!

It's always fun to watch a fundie falling on his words :-)
Bonne vacances... A mercredi!
It isn't fun to watch the evil you try to spread, Piti.
Piti, people like you make me give a second thought to the claims of the Palestinians.
bon voyage, lionness. a mercredi.
jethro bodine 8/22/02 11:13am
YAWWN... If you think your blackmail is of any importance to anybody with half a brain... I don't...
Idiots like you are ten a penny!
This is what Piti promotes. Tell me it isn't evil
