Hell yeah, it sucks when Sunday is here, and almost gone, and I dont remember anything about Saturday.... considering, I was hittin the sauce pretty hard anyhow, all day long.
Ah yeah.. I should let everyone know, that we'z considering hittin up the Payne Ave. Parade, next weekend, in clown style. This year its not on a thursday... they moved it.. its this coming saturday, the 14th, and its supposed to start around 11 A.M.
So I was thinking today, what about a party at Terry's place up north on Saturday, October 5th? Seems like it would be a good weekend for a drive north with the trees changing colors and all that. I have a feeling they'll be changing later this year than normal. I was thinking we could go up there, maybe arrive after lunch. Either play some games up there or just go on some trail hikes. Then maybe a potluck/barbecue for dinner and a bonfire in the evening? If people left by 10 or 11, they could still get home before it got too late, and I think it could be a lot of fun.
Do you think we could talk Terry and Inks into it? hehe
Don't need to talk us into that....you're always welcome! If you wanted to bring tents, campers, whatever, you'd be welcome to spend the night. (We don't have enough room indoors for everyone.)
I thought about the camping, though of course it would depend on the weather (speaking from experience of camping at Terry's in October). I was also thinking maybe I'd try and bring some people from my singles club just to make it a bigger event. I don't think too many would end up staying overnight, so I don't think that would be a problem, but during the day, if people can bring food up with them, it might be a case of the more the merrier?
Allison - The trick to sleeping in the cooler weather is to have something between you and the ground like an air mattress or one of those thingamajigs that my son has that is made of some sort of dense foam that he puts under his sleeping bag - and a decent sleeping bag.
We have grills, a nice fire ring, indoor plumbing to use, electric out into the woods and some nice places to pitch a tent or pull a camper into.
And the trees should be pretty that time of year as they usually are then.
AW-I AM SOOOO SOORRRRY I didn't help you move! I thought about it on the 25th (the day I thought you had the truck) but it was too late, Mark already took our truck to work :(
and "The trick to sleeping in the cooler weather is to have"... someone to snuggle up with ;)
Put a possible check mark for me to go on the 5th. looking into it-it happens to be the same week as sarahs birthday and havnt planned that party yet.
Terry can you email me (and probly everyone else) directions?
OK-I know I was bad at opening someone elses mail...but it is for someone who does not live here and I am tired of it coming and even if I return it to the postoffice it still comes. I have even talked to the postoffice and they say just throw it away if its junk mail...
K? - I read the letter from the creditor wanting their unpaid debt from this person--This is not a joke...I had to shake my head to make sure my eyes were functioning correctly and reread it...heres what it said...
"This letter, will serve to notify you that your account continues to show a portion of the balance is past due. It will remain in this unpaid status until such time as payment is recieved."
We get mail from the people who live at our same address except in South St Paul, people who used to live here, other family members...and once in a while our neighbor in the red house next door but never from the yellow house next door the other way. And once for our neighbor 5 houses over.
I was wondering where all of my past-due statements were going. I just assumed that some rich person felt sorry for me and was helping me out. Oh well, one can dream ;-)
Not far from home. Far from my fiancee. I haven't seen her in the flesh since mid June. And that was for like 5 minutes at the airport. I would love to go with her, bring her along. But alas I can't. Depresses me at times, thoughts like that.
Had another great weekend :) Went down to Harvest Fest at Harmony Park (down near Albert Lea) Friday night for some good music, good people, and good times. Came home Saturday cuz Marley was supposed to work, cleaned off, cooled down and slept, and went back for more of the same Sunday! Willie Nelson was supposed to play Sunday, but cancelled due to medical problems :( The Big Wu was awesome as always! Aaaahhhhh, gotta love the hippy-fests :)
A get together at Terry's would be cooler! Should we bring the drums for the drum circle? ;) (kidding, you're neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate that!)

Ian - There are several state parks/forests in the area. General Andrews is the closest, but there are others. There's also the Munger trail that runs along an old railroad line.
Artemis - Glad you had such a nice weekend! Drums would be an interesting addition to the neighborhood. LOL!!
Yes I am moved now. Working on getting everything set up again and unpacked. Getting ever closer to that goal.
evenin' heads.
Good Evening
Allison - Good luck with the unpacking. I don't envy you that, but at least you've gotten this far.
How come these weekends go so fast? I can hardly believe it's Sunday night already.
tell me about it, terry. didn't help one iota that the vikes lost to the bears today. :(

uh, DUH?
Now ::crumpling up the paper and throwing away:: 2 points Wha-hoo :)
Are you rambling Me2?
But it doesn't serve to notify them, because they aren't getting it.
HA! I knew someone would read it. Thanks for your eyes :)

But some reason our bills always make their way here...never have been sent anywhere else.
we have never gotten anyone elses new washer/dryer or sheetrock or new cabinets for the kitchen BUT ours have been delivered elsewhere!
Do you get the postman coming to your door and saying "WHERE'S JAKE?"?
:) ah, you are still here reading me. Great, cause I thought I had to do this all by myself :)
They went crazy?
Boy, that was a stretch. But if you're not going to have a joe with the one you love, isn't it sort of an empty, meaningless joe anyway?
I gave it a great effort :)
getting late boys ;)
goodnight :)
Good Evening!
I can get directions to anyone who is coming up that weekend...but maybe Allison can help with that as he has just about everyone's email address.
It's pretty simple anyways. About 1 3/4 hours north on 35, a right, a tight curvy right and a right...and then a left into the driveway.
As much as it should sound like fun, it just doesn't totally. I hate being so far away.
It would just be for one day. It's always weird to be far from home, but there's a certain thrill to it as well.
Or maybe TMK is really a vampire and needs to be near the soil of his homeland? hehe

as long as it was as meaningless for me, too. and since i wasn't here to participate, it was.
next time you're playing, honey, call me and i'll play along. i promise.
I was wondering where all of my past-due statements were going. I just assumed that some rich person felt sorry for me and was helping me out. Oh well, one can dream ;-)
no one ever lost any money dreaming, c.m.
at least i haven't anyway.
I've only lost money, then wished I was dreaming...
ain't that the truth, shaggy.

I'm interested in the trails Allison mentioned. Are these on public property? Parks, or public use areas? Can you guess why I want to know?

Sorry, that's the way I read it.
