Really? I told Scribe about it and she said it was stupid.
There's this place called Webshots that you can upload/store your pictures to. There's millions of pictures there of all variety's.
Well, there was this one woman that posted provacative pics of herself and stated "If you want to see more of me, click here".
So I clicked there and what it was is, she had a wish list set up at Amazon.com and if you would buy her stuff, she'd send you a link to a site where you could "see more of her".
I of course didn't do it but was curious to see if it was a scam (buy her something and never recieve your link) or if it was for real.
1. Find the treasure, call Jake. 2. Treasure will be hidden IN Ramsey County. 3. The only tools your will need for this hunt is your hands. 4. Use common sense and remember that this hunt is patterned after the winter carnival hunt. Anyone wishing to donate prizes email me.
jake, even though i bitched about it last nite, now that you've set it at 2 clues a day only next week, please don't change it. i'm telling my boss today that my vacation time has moved up a few days. i don't wanna have to change it again :)
Now “Old Hickory”, if you studied history Was General Andrew Jackson’s informal title Another Jackson may help solve this mystery But keeping sight of the General’s moniker is vital
Clue Master - there aren't many avatar sites that are secret from me. I've had to find those for any number of reasons over the years...so I have many bookmarked and many saved on my own computer.
Now “Old Hickory”, if you studied history Was General Andrew Jackson’s informal title Another Jackson may help solve this mystery But keeping sight of the General’s moniker is vital
7. Now “Old Hickory”, if you studied history, Was General Andrew Jackson’s informal title. Another Jackson may help solve this mystery But keeping sight of the General’s moniker is vital.- General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson was the Jackson who would help you solve this mystery as well as being the general whose moniker you needed to keep in sight. Which is to say that a stone wall was visible from the treasure’s hiding spot.
so is jake trying to confuse us by using the same clue seemingly leading us to a stone wall plainly visible from somewhere, to the same hiding spot even, perhaps, or is he giving us the same clue, intending that it mean something totally different while figuring we'll all make the assumption that he's talking about a stone wall?
its been at como 4 times, and indian mounds only once though. i thought of the 3 different times for a pp hunt as well. when i looked, i couldn't find any that had held it exactly 3 times.
There are lots of stone walls in different parks so that only narrows it down slightly and isn't too bad as a 2nd clue necessarily. He's said it's in a park and it's in St. Paul. It seems to be a park it's been hidden in before. I tend to think the three ways of keeping score mean three kinds of sporting fields. The other vague possibility is referring to an address of 3120 (THREE ways for ONE to keep SCORE [20])
You know, he doesn't say the Medallion has been hidden in the park before, just "treasure". Maybe it was a Mock Hunt and that's why he's using old clues of mine. Maybe it's in Linwood! Where's Scribe?
I know we were both looking together in those little nooks and crannies of that wall that surrounds the South and East sides of the park. He didn't want to give up looking there during MK & ATH's hunt. Of course that's until the #13 presented itself. ;-)
Clues from Tuesday - Friday will now be issued at 9:00am as I had to drop my Business Statistics class..... (anyone who has taken a college level stats class will understand I'm sure)
Been up North and internet access was screwy, but we're back and ready to noodle~~~~
From my quick impression of the first 3 clues I like Battle Creek, but I've got a list of 9 other possible parks. Cherokee, Como, Conway, Highland, Langford, Linwood, Merriam, Newell, and Phalen. Wilder, Valley, Belvedere, and Douglas are far-fetched possibilities.
That last one looks like Eminem. That is Jake in the middle isn't it?
What girl?
All I see is pass straps!
All I see is pass straps!
They're very prominent, aren't they?
I have to agree with Me2 Jake, regardless of who he's married to he's not all that good looking. He's just not my "type" of guy I guess.
Mine either.
No pass straps.
No pass straps
I bet she worked hardfor those pass straps :o
New Government issue floatation device.
Congratulations to Michael.
"Will you buy me something?"
I have to admit THX, that was kindof funny! Will have hunt rules up by the end of the weekend.

I hope you're not talking about Barbara Walters. Eewwwuu!
yoooooooooooooooooooo : > )

Gotta like #3 Jake. Thanks

Wow!-----------WoW!
The first one of the year
Was found by the King
Now go to a park in St. Paul
And find the thing
Ares says 'the king' is Earl St.
The king lives in a palace - so it must be Palace Rec Center.
i'm thinking jake is referring to himself as the king as a dual meaning maybe pointing us to the other end of earl street.
What's the reward for me finding it?
Question: How come Jake didn't post the clue?
Observation: Reading much into clue number one is what we do best. Hehehehehehe
because jake couldn't remember is pf password, and im'ed me2 with it for her to post. i was at her house in front of her computer when he did it too.
Too funny!!!
I HEAR THAT MEDALLIONATOR DON!
You're up at 6AM Jake? ;-)
Terry - You stole my 'secret' avatar site. Nice one.
Now “Old Hickory”, if you studied history
Was General Andrew Jackson’s informal title
Another Jackson may help solve this mystery
But keeping sight of the General’s moniker is vital

This clue sounds familiar. :-)
a little toofamiliar. if i hadn't slept late this morning i would have been out digging in the famous brush heap at phalen just in case :)
TWNA= Truck Writers of North America
but they are based in Maryland :(
dear god, please don't let this be another hunt where we bounce back and forth between phalen and como constantly.
There has been treasure
In this park before
But there are only three ways
For one to keep score.
well that leaves out swede hollow and alice parks :)
Glad to see you remembered your password, Jake!

Was General Andrew Jackson’s informal title

But keeping sight of the General’s moniker is vital
What a stupid clue! Who wrote that? :P
From AW's hunt -

But there are only three ways For one to keep score
3 types of sports played there or 3 score boards visible from site? Or that a treasure was hidden there 3 different times.
Maybe he's using a reference to AW's hunt and where else people were looking at that time. Como or IM. Damn it! I won't believe it.
its been at como 4 times, and indian mounds only once though. i thought of the 3 different times for a pp hunt as well. when i looked, i couldn't find any that had held it exactly 3 times.

And by the way, I'm sure the first clue is referring to Marley King finding Jake's coin in his first hunt.
You know, he doesn't say the Medallion has been hidden in the park before, just "treasure". Maybe it was a Mock Hunt and that's why he's using old clues of mine. Maybe it's in Linwood! Where's Scribe?
Or 3 one-way streets like Mears?
I know we were both looking together in those little nooks and crannies of that wall that surrounds the South and East sides of the park. He didn't want to give up looking there during MK & ATH's hunt. Of course that's until the #13 presented itself. ;-)

I knew you guys couldn't make it up by 6am. That's insane anyway.
