See if you can top Marley King, all you gotta do is find the thing!!!

Unfortunately I ended up getting a couple of my facts wrong and the whole thing got messed up because the numbers didn't come out the way they were supposed to. Maybe if my unemployment drags on for more than a couple of days I'll think about making another one. Or maybe we could plan a one day hunt. Perhaps the long awaited Tour-de-Parks.
tour-de-parks! that never happened? that sounds like a winner to me. if you cant commit your time to it, just explain again your idea for the format and I am willing to write the clues. I have had the clue writer itch since I found out Jake was writing clues, I have a million ideas. I am thinking about a hunt next summer. I know that is a ways away, but the hunt has to be thought out months in advnace so it is perfect.
just so things don't get out of hand hunt-wise, timmers, the generally accepted gentlemen's rules of these mock hunts is that whoever finds the coin is the one who hides and writes the next one. that's pretty much how its been all summer, with jake finding aw's, marley finding jake's, jake findinf marley's again, and now marley (and i suppose artemis, me2, and i qualify for this as well) finding this last one of jake's. of course i know there are people in this group who have no desire at all to write a hunt. if one of them finds it, then jump at the opportunity to write the next one. i know that me2 and i, for all the ideas we've come up with, have no desire at all to hide one until we've been the ones who find the thing fair and square.
this may be how things have gone this summer, but also this summer, in my opinion that system has proven to be somewhat flawed. you already stated that some don't want to write clues, and we have witnessed that some are less skilled at running a hunt than others (not to name names). if no one wants to participate in a mock hunt NEXT summer, then I won't hold one. however I realise that marley would like to run a mock hunt and he found jake's "coin", so I dont plan on stepping on his toes mock hunt wise. that being said, i will just find his coin...
Chances are, ninja... that if you decide to run your own hunt, its prolly not gonna piss a bunch of people off.... theres gonna be some people that would want to look for stuff...
true true, and whats this with the dropping of the 6th, I thought that it was supposed to be the end of it all after the 6th? now they are making it a 2 part deal? they probably will go back to the inner city posse. how else does their storyline work?

Just because it has been that way doesn't mean it's written in stone. Jake had already planned on doing one in the summer even before he found mine and it was a rather spontaneous bar room decision I thought that Marley should do one after finding Jake's.
I plan on doing mine after the Medallion hunt whether I find one in the meantime or not. If Tim wants to do one and has good ideas for one, I don't see why everyone else would have to be deprived of that hunt just because he didn't manage to find one of the others. Actually I think it would work better to perhaps limit everyong to doing one a year, and it might help if they could plan ahead for it rather than having to wait until they find one of the others and have to try and rush to put one together.
I've had my own hunt for 3 times now and I'm the only one who seems to find it each time. I found it once in my car, once in my jacket pocket and another time in the laundry. I actually get tired of looking for those damn keys anyway. If any of you want to write clues so I can find them quicker, fell free to do so. ;-)

I had to free up some space on my web site and I went a little crazy with the delete button. I think I have your E-ad at home. I'll send you copies of them if you want.

Yes only AW's hunt and Jakes 1st hunt were planned, the others were spontaneous. Jake wanted another hunt right away after his, I had been thinking about it and suggested that the ones who find it write the next set of clues. It was just a suggestion, a good way to keep the hunts going perpetually and give different people a chance to write the clues I thought. But I never thought of what would happen if the same people keep finding it, that kinda contradicts the purpose.

I agree, I think everyone who wants to should have a chance to be the clue writer. It could get chaotic though without some planning and organization. Maybe we could limit the total number of hunts per year to one a month or every other month so we don't get burned out from hunting? AW-you're good at planning and organizing...

I know we think of your hunt as an annual event, and I'm sure most others do too :-)

Nah... they'll still be Insane Clown Posse..... you really gotta hear the CD... or CD's rather, to undrstand it better.... and its really not a storyline.... their pointing out things in their music that most people just regularly kinda take for granted...
oh believe me, tim, not a one of us would be pissed off if ya wrote up a hunt. and because we're all a bunch of addicts and proud of it (reference the discussion saturday morning with me2, marley, artemis, and i and the cop who stopped to see what we were doing), we'd prolly all participate in it too. i guess my post really wasn't ment to try to keep you from having one, though reading it after the fact, it could easily be taken that way. one word of advice though. if you do, coordinate with other people who are having them as well. after all, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. the reason it took so long for this hunt to take place is that many of us were burned out from two very time intensive (and cellular minute intensive) hunts back-to-back. as always, aw, you raise very good points.
agreed, agreed, and agreed again. we are all on the same page. I certainly understand the burn out factor after talking with you 4 in the park Saturday, and if I were to write up clues and conduct a hunt, I would make sure and coordinate it so that the maximum amount of people could and WOULD participate in it. I also am starting clues currently and will work on them for the next 2 months(until the PP hunt), and then will continue after the PP hunt making any revisions(hopefully mom pp wont have the same park idea as me), and then be ready sometime around April, and then figure out the best time to run it. I am in no hurry to have a hunt, maybe next summer, maybe next fall. And knowing the addiction level of some of you can only be used to my advantage when trying to run a hunt. hehehe
