BLAM, BLAM, BLAM!

But at least I have kids, Jethro.

Thank God you don't.

Wrong as usual, DUDE!

No... Not at all. right...

You're not right.

Right...

It is right.

Oh man...you really are easily pleased and even more easily fooled.

Yeah, I'm the fool.

Yeah... me neither.

Glad you admit it.

And YOU aren't?

VOUCHERS?

The pot calling the kettle...

F U

Where and how am I using my kids? I don't even discuss this issue with my kids, much less feed them propoganda and send them out as little soldiers on my behalf. Unlike teachers and administration in public schools, who feed them all sorts of bullshit to get increased funding, So you can just kiss my ass.

Like I said, I don't even discuss this issue with my kids. It's not an issue for children.

WHO are the pawns in this whole sickening game we adults call "The Education Battle"...? It is a one sided game. On one side you have teacher's unions wanting to dig into the governments deep pockets and to indoctrinate children in liberal thought and on the other you have parents that want to teach their kids in a different manner than that provided by public schools. The parents just want a little of the money they provide to the government in order to teach their kids in the manner they see fit.

If you can find some ATTACK on you personally, or towards your children in what I said, then you have something else bothering you and you took it out on me, because quite frankly, we have had MUCH testier arguments before and I didn't receive that level of "Invective" from you. I don't know your family and I don't understand your view, but I have NEVER intentionally attacked ANYONE'S KIDS, just for mileage in these petty arguments, for Christ Sakes.

fold, you implied that he was using his kids. I think he just wants a good education for his kids and he doesn't think he can get it from the public schools.

Bill Fold

Even if I was wrong in my interpretation of your post, which I don't believe I was given the flow and content of the conversation, you're now stating that I use Public School Children for my own ends.

Thanks, I feel much better now.

You are the one that should apologize, fold. You did accuse JT of using kids. That is just crap.

"And YOU aren't?"- Bill

My interpretation of the above=
THX is using public school kids as a means to an end.

I have to agree with THX and Jethro on this one Bill. Maybe it's just me, but I have noticed that you have been more hostile than usual. Is it Jethro overload?

Bill, if you're talking of the old PP, I don't care. That's water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned.

I know you think I do, but I hold no grudges in that regard. If I did you, Repo, Sloop.... and several others never would have been invited here.

That's all I'm going to say on that subject.

Oh, and that none of "us" (you know who we are) was innocent in all that, including me. So don't be thinking I think any less of you than I think of myself for what went on there.

Anyone explain why they would use such an unusual round? Or is it not that unusual? I've never used it and I've been shooting since I was a kid. Why not a .45?

Some of the Ramsey count Sheriffs use Glocks in .40 Smith and Wesson. That is a round that was developed by S&W, and has more stopping power than the 9mm, but is smaller than the .45. The reasoning is that you can stagger the rounds in the magazine, getting more ammo in one magazine, without making the handgrip so fat that it feels too uncomfortable for people with average or smaller sized hands.

Has anyone remembered that this is the gun control forum?

Bill and THX are Internet friends who'll cool down and resume their amicable relationship in time.

But suppose this had been a quarrel between two REAL hotheads, in the same room.

Both carrying concealed firearms.

It could have easily turned into an episode of ER.

It could have easily turned into an episode of ER.

Happens all the time, doesn't it. All you have to do is look at the police stations in any town where all the police carry and see just how they shoot each other up.

It could have easily turned into an episode of ER.

You're joking, righ Dennis? Cuz that's funny.

It doesn't take a gun to kill someone. If someone is intent on killing another person, they're going to kill that other person. Guns is not an issue whatsoever.

My WORD... That is certainly some terrible shit to teach kids. I mean, VOTING?

You can't possibly be that stupid. Voting is not not what that t-shirt is about and you know it.

You asked for proof, I provided it. I wish I still had the flyer that came home in 2000 but I don't.

How could my terrible Teachers possibly teach kids about...VOTING?

It wasn't simply about voting. It came home the same week as the "Terror" letters (If you vote no to this, you're kids will suffer) and the "St Paul Kids" leaf bags. Paid for with my tax dollars, btw.

There was also my 4 year old coming home and telling me that I needed to vote yes for "St Paul Kids" because his school didn't have enough money.......

Gimme a break man.

Give me a break. You're the one that asked for some sort of proof. This is the best I could provide TWO YEARS after the fact.

btw: My 15 year old uses that t-shirt to sleep in. You wouldn't catch me dead in that thing.

That T-Shirt is about as innocuous as any I have ever seen. But I suppose if you need something to reinforce your anti-union/administration/teacher/public-schools positions, it is as good as any, right?

In itself the t-shirt does seem innocuous, that's why they do it. The unions/teachers/administration aren't completely stupid.

Add on to that the other things I've mentioned and more, and you have clear proof that teachers will do anything, including using kids, to get what they consider good for them.

I suppose I have to record my conversations with my kids from now on, so I can have solid proof of the B.S. they spoon feed kids?

Besides, you're the one that started it with this smarmy little post.

The fact is, I said NEITHER of those things to you, YOU just blurted them out and got in MY face.

No, you didn't say that. You said I used my kids, or as you claim, I at least use St Paul Public School Kids.

What did you expect, a bouquet of flowers and a kiss on the cheek?

The same goes for his morning... "You can't possibly be that stupid". If playing semantics with the words is now your exzcuse, then fine.

You're right, I was being sarcastic. I see it no worse than your smarmy post that I already linked to.

But don't complain the next time I get pissed, and let you have it, if this is your best explanation.

I'm a big boy, I can take it. You won't be banned if that's what you're afraid of.

By The Way... I NEVER saw any "apology". I half expected you to contact me OFF the boards, as I did with you. I should have known better.

Well, I did apologize for my use of profanity. That's as much of an apology as you'll get from me.

I'm not going to contact you off the board. You're message to me was a bunch of gibberish about things long past that had nothing to do with today. I explained that in one of my posts here.

The only person on these boards who has more of my respect in the last year than you, Is Rob, and you know why.

I honestly don't know why or what this means even.

Anyway, how's this B.F. I know I can be a knee jerk reactionary butthead. It's one of my faults.

I apologize for that and I'll try to do better with it in the future.

I can be a smart ass, get my point across... without being a jerk about it.

Bill,

I'm not trying to butt in but c'mon man, he apologized. We've all said things off the cuff or took things the wrong way. I've done it as well. Sometimes it's hard in printed word to get inflection and even intent sometimes, that's why my posts are so damn long because I want to make sure I'm being clear. He apologized so in the words of good ol' Rodney King, Can't we all just get along ? Sorry to butt in guys I'll leave it at that and keep my nose out of it from here.

If the USSC doesn't step in and rule on this now, something has gone very wrong. You have the 9th circuit and the 5th circuit in direct conflict with each other. The 9th even states that the 5th is in error in coming to the conclusion that the 5th came to.

Some people have issues

We have guns. We regard them in much the same light as we regard the power tools in the garage. Just the thing for certain jobs but not for others. My kids have little interest in guns and ignore them. They know where they are and they can and would shoot if necessary but thus far the situation has not manifested itself. The chances are, it won't. Visitors would have a difficult time even knowing we had them let alone gaining access to them. None are loaded at this moment. There is a brick of .22 by the telephone in the kitchen but it looks like much of anything else since that's the 'clutter spot' and no one has noticed them. My late father's markmanship awards are displayed in the china cabinet along with the tea cup collection and the silver.

The point being that guns need not be an issue either way. I would rather have them than not but if you feel differently, get yourself a large dog instead. That's fine. But rather than merely calling and asking before permitting your kids to associate with people, go over and see if you can get at the guns. Hasty judgments made without direct evidence are wrong regardless of who does the judging or why.

Use of poison arrows for hunting is a misdemeanor. Using them on humans will get you up to 40 years and/or $100,000 for a death and 10 years and/or $20,000. The crime is called adulteration of substances chapter 609 in the state books. That's OK, I'll stick with my great grandfather's double barrel 4 gauge.
