So maybe it's time to start discussing the hunt. Unfortunately no one asked me to be the cluewriter this year, though if they haven't picked one, I do need a job right now and I know where to hide it :) But if what they say is true that the job of the cluewriter isn't a very popular one at the paper, and the hunt last year didn't go too well, I would guess there was probably a mutual parting of the ways and that we'll see another new clue writer this year.

Jake just called me to say he, Snake, and Donny went to the Winter Carnival button unveiling today and were the very first people to buy this year's buttons.
So now that the buttons are out, does that make it feel closer for anyone?
Jake called me a bit ago too- Dumb luck keeps striking Jake... anyone wanna take a guess why 'dumb luck' keeps picking him? Oh, he also wanted me to know AGAIN, that he & Donny will be finding the coin this January.
As for Jake finding it, it's not inconceivable. Between the three of them they have Snake's brains, Jake's muscles and determination, and Donny's luck. That's pretty much everything you need. The Camo Crew have the first two, but seem to be lacking the third one. Hmmm, who do I know that tends to be really lucky that I can team up with?
I like those buttons! Certainly could be worse...and there's a theme to 'em. I like 'em better than last years.
Remember - purchasing the buttons is only step one. Don't forget to register them. Wouldn't want to find a crew member that forgot to do that simple registration task.
damn... those buttons look like they were created by a gang of little kids... what the hell. They should get some grafiti artists to make something cool up. The snow looks much better from behind snow tires than mags. I just had mine replaced today. Try driving in a snowstorm with mag wheels on a rear wheel drive car. It sucks big time. The tires turned to slicks with the first rotation on the new snow. From work to home last night it was nothing but slip-slidin-away the whole way home. And that's on a straight piece of highway. Well it was the first time they seen snow and it will definitely be the last to say the least. I was glad to see that I wasn't alone though. Tires plus was filled with cars with mags on them today. It was kind of sad seeing all those nice wheels all covered in snow and salt. ;-(

seriously, though, i do want to buy a set of 16" five-spoke mags and put 215/50/16s on my mystique. that'll be my income tax refund present to myself methinks. if of course i manage to get one with the capital gains i'm gonna owe taxes on.
Well it's official now. I will definitely not be at the Pre-Dig Gig. Instead I'll be hosting a weekend long hot tub party :-)
Though if anyone wants to come by Sunday and noodle the first clue while sitting in a hot tub, we could do that. hehe I don't have to return the hot tub until Monday.
