The consequences of their conduct shouldn't be foisted on everyone else.
I paid for Dick Cheyney's expensive heart procedures. This nation is full of obese and over indulging people.

OUR TAX DOLLARS PAID FOR AN ONGOING KILLING OF CHILDREN
Independent documentary films have played a key role in exposing ugly political truths that the establishment media routinely cover up. "Hearts and Minds", the stunning expose of U.S. Vietnam policy, and "The Panama Deception", about atrocities committed by American forces during Operation Just Cause in 1989, are classic cases in point. Both won Academy Awards.
Another such film is "Bombies", which reveals a travesty most of us know nothing about. Here's its story, from the film's website:
Between 1964 and 1973, the United States conducted a "secret" war, dropping over two million tons of bombs on the mountains and jungles of Laos. Many of these bombs - especially a newly developed weapon called a "cluster bomb" - failed to explode when they hit the ground, leaving the landscape littered with millions of unexploded bombs, as dangerous today as when they fell from the sky three decades ago.
Dubbed "bombies" by Laotian villagers, these eye-catching but deadly orbs, as brightly colored as exotic fruit, are still found by children playing in shallow dirt, in the clefts of bamboo branches, or in the furrows of fields where farmers still till the soil by striking the earth with a hoe.
In 1964, as the Vietnam War was intensifying, the United States attempted to staunch the flow of North Vietnamese people and supplies moving along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which detoured through Laos before heading into South Vietnam. Laotian Communists, backed by North Vietnam, were fighting in a civil war against the U.S.-supported Royal Lao government. Because the United States signed the 1962 Geneva Accords prohibiting American military involvement in Laos, the bombing, organized by President Kennedy, the CIA and the Air Force, was kept secret, both from Congress and from the American people, to pursue a covert strategy for ridding the countryside of Communists. Initial targets were Communists troops, supply depots and lines of communication. Later, to prevent the soldiers from having access to men and materials, the U.S. began to bomb farms, villages and towns. The consequences for Lao civilians were devastating. American planes delivered the equivalent of a B-52 planeload of bombs every eight minutes, 24 hours a day, for nine years. More bombs were dropped on Laos at that time than on Germany and Japan combined during World War II.
In the last three decades more than 12,000 people, many of them children, have been killed or injured by bombies or other unexploded ordnance (weapons). With an estimated 90 million cluster bombs dropped on Laos, many experts consider Laos to be the most heavily ordnance-contaminated country in the world.
BOMBIES tells the untold story of the deadly legacy of unexploded cluster bombs in Laos through the personal experiences of villagers, activists and others who courageously deal with them on a daily basis.
---
We will compound this terrible "legacy" by extending it to Iraq and the many other countries where cluster bombs will be heavily used if Bush's open-ended militarism isn't brought into check by a U.S./International peace movement powerful enough to stop the warhawks. Peace sentiment is rapidly spreading. Join the forces for sanity that are organizing in your community.

"Conservative"
A strange, bassackward man (women are conservative only when they're in thrall to retrograde male ideology) who devotes a lifetime to fetish fetishism, piously proclaiming devotion to "saving innocent babies".
All the while having financial links to multinational corporate interests whose worldwide profiteering is the chief cause of needlees, global underdevelopment and militarism, from which literally millions painfully perish.
Including a vast multitude of innocent babies, and older children.
But, as he becomes a hypocrite the size of a medicine ball, the conservative remains blind to their suffering.
He thinks only of the health of his stock portfolio.
Besides, his quotient of compassion is already alloted...to granting "rights" to a fetus that would supercede those of the already born, living, breathing, socially functioning women in which that fetus resides.
Forcing her to give birth no matter how cruel the objective circumstances might be.
If so, I guess Pampers and Huggies better start selling diapers for the "pre-born".
So the definition of a human being is that they wear diapers? The fact is that life must begin at conception because without it there is no life. It is essential to the entire life process.
so then why don't we make out death certificates for miscarriages?
So the definition is that you are not a human being unless you get government documentation? I guess we know how to treat the illegal aliens now. Thanks, ares.
no, i'm just trying to make a point here. if life begins at conception, and the mother miscarries, is that or is that not a death? and if it is a death, where's the death certificate for it? don't go sliding around my question by giving another, i'm not particularly interested in taking any shit from you today. just answer the question. assuming of course you can.
no, i'm just trying to make a point here. Not very well as I pointed out.if life begins at conception, and the mother miscarries, is that or is that not a death? You know my answer to that, don't you?and if it is a death, where's the death certificate for it? I guess you didn't get the point of my previous post. Why do you have to have a government record? They could require a certificate if they so choose? A government record doesn't change the substance of what occurs. It is just a record. Just because a record isn't kept doesn't mean the event didn't occur. Now why do some parents bury their children when a miscarriage occurs?don't go sliding around my question by giving another, i'm not particularly interested in taking any shit from you today. I didn't slide around your question. I tried to show you how dumb the question was.just answer the question. assuming of course you can. It is painfully clear that you don't see how utterly dumb the question that you posed was.
way to answer the question. i should have expected as much.
Now why do some parents bury their children when a miscarriage occurs?
i don't know. maybe becasuse those parents that do believe that the life did indeed begin at conception.
Why do you have to have a government record?
why not? if a child dies 2 minutes after it is born there's a death certificate issued. why not if it died 2 minutes before its born. you're the one who's asked those of us who are pro-choice more than once what's so special about the process of childbirth that allows us to distinguish between what is and what is not a life, now i'm returning the question to you.
you're the one who's asked those of us who are pro-choice more than once what's so special about the process of childbirth that allows us to distinguish between what is and what is not a life, now i'm returning the question to you.
And you didn't answer the question regarding what makes child birth "so special." I suppose it is because simpleton's can understand childbirth. My point has been made many times. Conception begins the process of life. Everyone walking around today was at one time conceived. You wouldn't be walking around if you haven't. Once conception occurs no one knows what will be the end of that life. It could end in old age. It could end as a result of accident. It could end of an illness. Life can end at anytime. In childhood, adolescence, in middle age or old age. Life can end by miscarriage or it can end by abortion. In all those cases a being ceases to exist. All of those results occur only because there was a conception.
It can be argued it is just a body after that, too. The fact still remains that there was huge development throughout the nine months prior to birth. That development is essential. If that development does not occur there is no birth.
It can be argued it is just a body after that, too.
A lot of things can be argued, but that's what I believe.
The fact still remains that there was huge development throughout the nine months prior to birth. That development is essential. If that development does not occur there is no birth.
I wouldn't dispute that (how could I?). But what I would dispute is, is the progress that body has made, particularly if we're talking about just a few month's progress, that much more valuable than a woman's right to have some control over her life to the point that it would make sense for the government to force the woman into choosing between bringing it to term against her will, or seeking an abortion that could prove extremely dangerous and/or result in imprisonment? While I will concede that "just a body" still has significant value, I wouldn't give it rights that supercede those of the woman carrying it.
"The answer to "What party are you referring to?" is the Democratic party."
I doubt Dennis would place himself as a Democrat. I am, and I'm getting a little tired of this snotty remark:

As Dennis once said, the characters on the Sunday night lineup of Fox animation are more real than many of the people who post here.
And their comments are often more lucid. People can say absolutely anything here, because they're allowed to.
This is more entertainment than discussion.
There's your perception problem.

There is plenty of money spent on those programs.3. you would also completely condemn those who abuse kids who are already here, for example the Catholic priests and the Kelly family - mistake or not a kid's dead. I think most are.see I knew you missed me. No, not at all.
if the was enough money properly directed then you and yur ilk would have been put out of business, as would mine, long ago. YOU are the one telling women 'no abortion' but if YOU aren't doing anything to change the system to make bearing children out of wedlock easier and more accepteable then YOU must also share the blame.
I am not saying anyone MUST only that they MAY. And, of course, you have missed me. I am the only one who actually laughs when she reads your posts, 'oh mr. brain in a box'!
Shut up fold. The only thing people are laughing at is your idiotic ramblings.
[Jethro's not in today so I'll be temping in his place]
(by the way, just kidding Bill)
[Jethro's not in today so I'll be temping in his place]
and no one's missing him either.
Should I care, ares? Let me tell you I don't miss you when you are gone or when I am doing other things. I am not your friend. I don't want to be your friend. I don't even want your respect because your respect means nothing to me.
Strange world.
I happen to like both ares and Jethro.
YOU are the one telling women 'no abortion' but if YOU aren't doing anything to change the system to make bearing children out of wedlock easier and more accepteable then YOU must also share the blame. I am saying they shouldn't be killing a human being for no good reason. What I am saying is be responsible for yourself because no one should have to be responsible for you.
I am not saying anyone MUST only that they MAY. And, of course, you have missed me. I am the only one who actually laughs when she reads your posts, 'oh mr. brain in a box'! Tell the truth, girl, you don't laugh. How could you? You despise me and the things I write.
btw: Luv2Fly's not going to be in today.
You could pretend to be him.
It is not fun to be resaonable and sensible, JT.
But doesn't being a Firestarter gets tiring after a while?
It hasn't yet.

so that explains why you behave the way you do when you're here, considering you're the one who once said you were only here to have a little fun.
