as you all can see, the posts in the winter carnival thread discussing the invitaitonal thread have been moved into the invitational thread. now if only we could get the order adequately changed so they're in the spots where they belong chronologically. jt, when you get a chance, you wanna do the same thing for the ones in shoot the breeze? (posts 6608. 6611, and 6612).
So you think we'll have snow for the hunt this year?
Any word if the film crew is coming back for sure? Seems like they wouldn't be so quiet if they were. And I don't know what sort of a hunt they can expect this year.

Here's how it works: Each day starting Monday, January 28, clues will be released on KIQX & KRSJ Radio that will start you on your search. You must be creative and smart in your interpretation of these clues to claim the big prize. Remember there's no second place in this contest...there's only one Coors Light Silver Bullet. $250. Hmmm, our Mock Hunts have raised more money. You'd think a company like Coors might be able to chip in a bit more.
That reminds me. I wonder if we should look for a corporate sponsor for the Mock Hunt? Personally I think it would be kind of cool if it were run by a bar or restaurant and the clue was given out each night from there. The hunters would then all be gathered in one place, sort of like at the PP, and then go rushing off. The difference of course is that instead of standing out in the cold, everyone would be inside at the bar, eating and drinking (which would of course be the motivation for their sponsorship). I'm not sure though if it would actually prove profitable.
It was loading for over 5 minutes and all I had was a netzero banner on top, and stuck on allisonwonderland1.jpg. This is where I normally close the browser. This time I stopped the browser, the screen faded, scrambled, then the page was there.
I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that our store is closing, due to problems with the mall. So I'll be out of a job. The good news is I'll have lots of time to find the medallion, and you guys won't have to worry about finding it.
You know, I was wondering about the film crew too. And where's Green?
I don't think we'll be seeing Green here. She seemed pretty clear that posting to the Pioneer Press website was more important to her than who she was posting with. Though I suspect we'll see her out hunting.
I'm still unemployed too TMK. And now I'm at that point where I don't want to stay unemployed for another month, yet it's almost close enough to the hunt that I wonder if I could get away with waiting.
So is anyone interested in taking up a pool? We could maybe even make a thread just for it. Basically it would work like this I think:
Everyone who wants to participate puts in $1 or something. And everyone who does gets a guess as to the park it will be in. Everyone posts their guess so as to have a record for it. You can change your guess at anytime. But the winner will be the first person to name the correct park without having changed it to something else in the meantime. So even if someone else picked the park you want, you can still pick in case they change their pick later. I think it could be kind of fun.
Good idea AW. I'm in. $5.00 or $10.00 might be better though. As long as there's no group guesses. One guess, one park. If we get enough people to go in on this it would be better to start up a different thread so we don't need to do tons of slogging afterwards.
I saw two boards, one for who would find it and one for how long it would take, but nothing for what park it's in.
22 days to go and still no snow. Nor do I see much of any in the 10 day forecast. I wonder what they'll do? Hopefully not hide it under a potato chip in the middle of a field and hope that snow lands on it.
i know there's a bunch of javascript he's got running under there. makes it a real pain in the ass for my pop-up stopper too cuz its not a simple link.
I got it all to work just by clicking on the year. It doesn't underline or anything, so toy wouldn't expect anything to happen, but if you click on the year, a box does popup. Between that and the list you posted, I have my lists now. Well actually I have the two lists. Seems to me a bit of reconciling needed to be done though I haven't done that yet.
I dun think you have to worry about them hiding it under a potato chip... It seems like every year, when theres no snow.. everyone gets all super-excited about not having snow for the medallion hunt, and then like 3 days before it starts, we get like 6 feet.
30!

Does anyone else have trouble getting Marley's website to load? I keep getting hung up on it, and have to give up.
loads fine for me, ian.
This is weird ...
It was loading for over 5 minutes and all I had was a netzero banner on top, and stuck on allisonwonderland1.jpg. This is where I normally close the browser. This time I stopped the browser, the screen faded, scrambled, then the page was there.
24.
The banner, aka pop-ups, are causing the pixel fade code to stick. That or its just your broswer (should work with internet explorer and netscape).
The pop-ups should be gone sometime this week.
Kingscommons
has been upgraded just waiting for freeservers to set it. : > )

I've been checking all my medallion links, hoping for updates or whatever. I have looked at Jesse's a number of times:
<http://wintercarnival.8m.com/years.html>
and the years were listed, but there were no links. If you click on a year, nothing happens. Try this:
highlight a year, then click it. You get a little historical pop-up. Why/how does this work?
i know there's a bunch of javascript he's got running under there. makes it a real pain in the ass for my pop-up stopper too cuz its not a simple link.
