Good point. I guess I really wouldn't hold anything back from the 'main' thread that would be much different from this one. As long as we have control over the Joes in the world, who really cares. The more the merrier. And who are we to think that because we're a bit more versed in the actual makeup of a hunt that we have any better ideas than some others. I assume that there will be those frog pond people every year and those that insist that it's in the fairgrounds, but weren't we all one of them at one time? I do feel the need to keep this invitational thread separate for that exact reason, but I don't think that I'd contribute anything less on the other thread either with hope of enlightening newbies of the basics anyway.

It might depend on whether we get snow or not and what I think my chances are of finding it. If I would have even conceived of the thought that the thing might just be lying there on the baseball diamond last year, I would have put more effort into looking for it and raked both fields. But generally I don't really expect to find it because I just can't put that much effort into looking for it. So I'd just as soon at least get some recognition. Besides, it's not like everyone even agreed with me that it was at Merriam last year. I remember meeting one woman at Merriam last year who had come by to check it out but was absolutely convinced it wasn't there. She was right, it had been found about 45 minutes earlier.
Honestly I think there aren't that many truly unique and useful ideas that get posted, and of the ones that are, they're coming amidst a torrent of bad and misleading ideas. So if someone can pick out the right ideas that lead them to the right spot, they deserve some credit for that. It's not like we're all sitting here chanting in a unified voice where the thing is within a few feet.

Ares I say put the small link to Peoplesforum (like thx had it above or something like that but SMALL) And if you want to advertise for the rest of the sites on there too just put the www.kingscommons.8m.com www.medallion.the-four-horseman.org and so on. Without the extra links the cards will still be small and maybe with? They will find our sites after they get to the peoples forum anyway I think!
