Mr. Med Hunter

Allison

You did a great job summing up the 2002 Treasure Hunt on Kings Commons. You're a better journalist than Jake. Great Job!

Hey, I just realized I am the same shape as the medallion :)
I am getting the fever! I am starting to see them everywhere!
oh, that would just be spots in the air-I have been looking at the computer screen way too much already and we have 10days/11evenings to go :)

Good Evening!

We bought our buttons as Snyders in Roseville.

This weather has given me spring fever which is really weird. Having medallion and spring fever at the same time is such a strange feeling. Hope there's a cure.

btw, mr. med hunter, thanks for the guestbook. i just spammed everyone in it with links to here and to coolercrew.com. just so they know in advance of the hunt. wow, and only 7 or 8 bounces. not bad.

gonna be in court 8:30 tomorrow morning, I guess they are going to request 30 day's at some camp, I hope they do it. the rest of his charges will hopefully come during those 30 day's so they can extend his stay, hope he learns something from all of this so It's not all a waste.

Wed, 01/08/2003 - 8:45 PM Permalink

Now maybe you won't have to worry about him during the HUNT! :)

Wed, 01/08/2003 - 8:55 PM Permalink

LL - Good luck with all that. Do you know which camp? There's a few good ones out there.

Thought I'd pass this piece of information along. I talked with my PP friend today and asked if she had any idea who was writing the clues this year. Of course they are not told and it's only conjecture, but she believes it's the same guy that did them last year. Let's hope he hides it better.

Wed, 01/08/2003 - 9:11 PM Permalink
ares

let's hope he gets a sense of rhythm for the clues as well.

Wed, 01/08/2003 - 9:13 PM Permalink
Terry

Amen to that!

Wed, 01/08/2003 - 9:32 PM Permalink
ares

i mean even ihave a better sense of rhythm. when me2 was writing the songs she put together she'd be bouncing lines off me and i'd be working them to fit in with the original song. i did the same thing with the lyrics for hotel coolerfornia.

Terry

In the end if it's hidden well and the clues are something to really get our teeth into, I wouldn't care if they have rhythm or not.

On the other hand, listening to everyone gripe about the clues if they aren't well written would not be fun either.

I'm trying to scare up some snow! When the big ol' snow blower didn't do it, I thought perhaps some shoveling would help.

Thanks Mr Med Hunter. I was hoping to give it a bit of personal flavor without making it sound like "How I Spent My Treasure Hunt". So hopefully I succeeded in capturing what it was like for others as well.

Comparing my style to Jake's though, not too big of an achievement there, hehe. Actually I think Jake could have succeeded in being funny if he started the article being very serious and then got more preposterous as he went until you got to the end and you're thinking to yourself, "There's no way this can possibly be true!" I did that once to my singles club. They had heard about this long distance romance I've had on and off for the last couple of years. I posted that I had decided to move down to West Virginia to be with her and consequently I was leaving the club, which of course everyone believed. Then I said I was turning the club over to one of the other more respected members of the club. That seemed fairly plausible, although he wasn't one of the moderators at the time and didn't actually seem like someone who would want that job. By the end of the post I was telling them how under the new regime there would have to be two women for every man and stuff like that. By then, within a couple minutes of starting the post, they knew it was a joke and thought it was funny. Now if Jake had started the article saying the hunt was cancelled for reasons we can see as being plausible and then ended it by saying something like the PP was considering having future hunts, but instead of a medallion, they would be using a White Castle hamburger with a sack of White Castles as the prize, that might have been funny.

Allison - You did a nice job with that commentary. Capturing something in words to convey something that everyone can relate to is not easy - especially when you're writing from your own perspective. Very well done.

Just so y'all don't start chasing me with your pitchforks and torches, I'm not tryin to take any "sides" on this or anything...
I kinda thought Jake's reasons for cancelling the hunt were preposterous. I can't remember his exact words, but it was something about using devices to track it or something along those lines. What are people gonna use? One a those depth finder things for fishing? Maybe if there was some snow(Not the expensive kind), or they planned on hiding it at the bottom of Phalen Lake.

Dont anyone kick my ass when ya see me or anything, but damn... I know, I know it was a nasty joke to be played on people that you call your homies, and one that instead should have been used on enemies in this hunting game, but still.... it was kinda funny.

I, myself, didnt actually see the writing, or site, or whatever the hell it was that pissed everybody off, and cant say that if I had, I wouldnt have been pissed just like everyone else.

Jake.. lemme ask ya this, ninja...
Were you trying to pull a heel turn, and go all super macho bad guy, on everyone this year? Cause that would have been a cool reason to do all that, and go to all the trouble. If not then.. damn... ya got some balls ninja.

can't hurt. oh, and just so you know, when you send out pf links, remove the stuff between the @@s in the url. if you leave it there its theoretically possible for someone to log in here as you.

ares,

Maybe we should put up info or a thread on what do to if you're being moderated (to e-mail Lance)?

Then I don't have to e-mail the newbies as they show up?

right up front in the med hunt folder? that's where the link i sent out is sending them.
