what can i say. i live to melt you, ma cherie.
ya know, all this sweet talk reminded me of what trent sent in an email to me about me2 and i teaming up this hunt. he was like "i need to get some footage of some other cooler crew members and you two seem to make an interesting pair". i couldn't help but reply to him with "we'll try not to be camera shy, trent, but if you're expecting to see the two people you see on the board interact in real life the way they interact on the board, you're going to be very disappointed"
ok so we're flirty on the outside. we certainly do not> take it as far as we do in here though. not even close.
and she is so right. i do put my foot in my mouth an awful lot in real life. then again, so does she. the evidence is in my collection of taglines, present and past.
How about a re-hash bash thread? Anyone who looks at this site would at least see it, it would provide a specific spot for questions, I'd love to see past photos, and you (or someone) could keep a current 'menu' in the header.
I've been corresponding with human24 for a while, perhaps even since Conway, but I don't think I've ever met him in person. He always seemed like a good guy though.
You know, I don't think Jake actually had any real intention of copying Steve's book for anyone (unless he maybe thought it would get him laid). I suspect his goal in saying that had more to do with getting a reaction from everyone else. Which brings me to my main point...
Now that THX mentioned throwing Jake out, it occurs to me that Jake has no real interest in being a productive member of the Cooler. Instead it seems his goal is to use it as his personal playground, annoying people for his personal amusement. Whether it's taunting people with Medallionator press releases and boasts of success, or making up fake stories to panic everyone, or just saying outrageous things to get reactions, his goal seems to be clearly more towards riling people up than contributing anything useful. So now that I think about it, why not boot him out?
i was actually im'ing jake last week when he was using us for his own personal amusement. and what he told me when i told him that i was very seriously considering booting him just because i could, was that he didn't care if he got booted.
I'm sure that's what he would say because that's the image he likes to project. But it would bother him deep down. He's always asking me why people don't like him and if people are mad when he succeeds at something. I know people who don't care what people think about them, and Jake isn't one of them. He does care. He wants to be liked, yet he can't stop himself from being obnoxious so he pretends that he doesn't care. However, whatever Jake's feelings are, the question remains of whether he's an asset or liability to the overall community.
I would say at this point, he's certainly not an asset, but booting him would open the door for even more shenanigans from him and his widdle friends in my opinion.
It's a crap shoot. Deal with him where we can see him or deal with whatever tricks he comes up with next if he's booted.
that's pretty much the way i look at it. yes he's obnoxious, but i've never really seen him as a pest worthy of being sprayed with raid. plus, pf has this ignore list feature where you can enter usernames and not see their posts at all.
He's annoying at times. Yes, you have to shake your head at him. But I don't know if he's quite crossed the line. He's kind of like the annoying little brother. At least this way we can somewhat keep tabs on him a bit.
Does anyone think he was really at Snail Lake Park today? I can actually believe he'd have some crazy theory as to why that has to be the place, but then again I wonder if he's just trying to throw people off.
As for booting him, just thought I'd throw it out there and see what people thought of the idea. Just thought it might be a way to say that we put up with his BS because we choose to and not because we have to. In a bizarre, twisted way, it's actually a sort of compliment.
I'd vote to not ban him unless things get really out of hand. I personally don't belive a damn thing he posts. But, he can do whatever. No skin off my back.
And yes he siad something on the lines of "trent said you were out at snail lake and that f@ck@r thinks your going to find it so where you go i go" something in those lines.
Hehe, so you went there to take pictures just because you wanted to have Ramsey County parks and he went out there because he thought you were onto something? That's funny.

Marley, that's too much ! I love it.
I don't know if there's any communication between the County and the PP, but Snail Lake is mostly off-limits to geocachers. I can't imagine a few hundred rabid medallion hunters there.
I love it Marley! Jake called me today but said nothing about Snail Lake or any other park for that matter, He wanted to know if I was going out and he told me they were going out for a while thisafternoon.

annoying people for his personal amusement
That's all I've seen from him. I think he's been medallionated.
