Just out of curiousity, is there any rules in the parks stating you can't be in them after certain hours? Tonight I kept getting the odd feeling some park ranger would come out and tell me I had to go home (I saw one in a truck)
Yes they close at like 10 but this time of the year they know there will be crazy people in the park at all hours. If you look like your looking or digging they will leave you alone!
Ah, well I was way ahead of that time.. just seemed odd, I was expecting to see more people out there or something, I only noticed one other person at harriett tonight, and none at all at kellogg, was wondering if other people knew something I didn't
Most parks want you out my like 10 or 11... but screw that.... we're out in a lot of parks all year round, and never get bugged..... cept for maybe lillydale.... this time of year rocks, cause you actually have a reason to be there
One parting thought.... Does anyone know when they've usually taken that big salvation army pot down after the holidays? or is it just up the whole winter until spring when they setup the fountain?
I drove by rice park tonight, they had a news crew there and all with the ic sculpture carvers thare and thought to myself "no way they'd put it in there especially if they were tryin to make it hard" Then again.. maybe it's frozen in one of the ice chunks in the disgard piles :) lol
A fairly new park that is still in consideration is the one where the Queen Delta paddleboat docks during the summer along Shepard Road. Across from the old pioneer press building.
I'm not sure about other people, but my father came along with me tonight and he had one of those insanely superpowered 1 gajillion candlewatt flashlights, it sure made the darkest places bright
Anyone else reading the clues and thinking they sound like navigation points? Kinda like if I was plotting a course, I would need to know where this is and that is as I'm going along it....
Night Sue...
Regman you mean the barbs that stung us? I beleive it's the first one.
I dont think the first clue means anything at all, except that this hunt's finna be a wicked one.
Good idea.... I might just go back to Kellogg then, scour the area.. small enough to do.
red white & blue is an anagram for a bewildered hunt!!!!! think i've actually figured something out in this hunt!!!
mmmmm that taste good!
Good noodle~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm with you regman!
Matt-
There is also the North Star Ice City Desk Plantnear downtown St. Paul

What park did you see the ranger at?
north star ice is located 1654 marthaler lane whats the possibilty they would hide it outside RC again???
Isn't this in West St Paul? Is that outside Ramsey Co?
Harriett, it was down by the docks area, then when I was walking back over to navy island, the truck drove up there too...
See you Reg, I'm hoping it'll be a good one too...

what's with the addy Frosti?
busted link.
Right frosti, but its WSP- they never label the suburbs right on that site- they are all "St. Paul"
Yeah, and if you are in the parks after hours any other time of the year, make sure you have an escape plan... cuz it's a $100 fine.
Yeah.... dont wear no heavy ass boots... or if ya do.. make sure you can run in them
Yes IGH is Dakota Co, and so is SSP and WSP. I grew up there
One parting thought.... Does anyone know when they've usually taken that big salvation army pot down after the holidays? or is it just up the whole winter until spring when they setup the fountain?
Hey Annie, cool image :)
Lets not forget theres like 3 or 4 golf domes here in St. Paul.... a few of tem visable from parks too, no doubt.

Could be in a parkway?

Nite Frosti and Sethmon SCD's and MCL!
Dolly- where is 40 Acres Park? I haven't heard of that one.
If it's not found by saturday, I predict all the parks will be crawling with hunters :) It's supposed to warm up a tad
Someone else mentioned a parking lot once, I wasn't quite sure about it though
I hope it does! (last past sat and warm up a little)
question...what are people using for search tools other than flashlights and rakes? :)
Hmm, I read that more as be south of the capitol, look to the north... How I read it that way, my brain won't say
The northstars "turned cold" to MN and moved south to TX.
Sounds more like they got warm and left us cold:)
ANN...any public property outside. Remember 6th and Cedar under the mailbox?
I'm not sure about other people, but my father came along with me tonight and he had one of those insanely superpowered 1 gajillion candlewatt flashlights, it sure made the darkest places bright
Thanks Dolly! Thats wild, It looks like its in St Paul, but says Dakota Co on the map, I'll have to look into it more.
