The trouble with hiding the medallion downtown is it's so well travelled, unless you put it in a spot people most likely (or won't) go, it'd get discovered awful quick...
One other question... if they always hide it outside, and typically make it look like a piece of trash or something similar, has it ever been accidentally thrown out? Or possibly a cleanup crew cleaned it up? or does the pioneer press have some deal with the city like (don't have anyone clean up anything for the next week or so)?
I heard last time it was found at Kellogg, it was by a man & his sister-in-law & they were enjoying an extra-marital moment when the found it under a bench
When we've played hide and go seek most people will agree the funnest hiding spots are the ones that are rather obvious, or you can stay in your spot, watch people walk right past you and totally not see you. Maybe the hiding spot of the medallion could be like that, so insanely obvious, everyone overlooks it... all the while the clue writers are laughing their heads off
It doesn't say you can see the Capital, just the dome, so I'm thinking it's in a park on the border of St. Paul, with one of those St. Paul Signs, with a pic of the capital dome on it.
Hehe! I got to tell Jake it had been found! He called to talk to Marley @10PM tonight, to see where he was looking etc...He was just having time to start looking again...
Damn, I swear dude was talkin bout a new adition this year, maybe its the 3rd or somethin... I dunno, the clowns still don't have one. We do however plan on gettin one this year, so hopfully one's on reserve for us.
Eileen Weilda park theory..has it been ruled out? just wondering I was reading the clues over and the first one about the barbs that stung us...i came up with a "BARBIE" doll hahaha
I got the current edition of the Treasure Hunters Guide in 2000 and I believe it was new that year. There isn't really a new edition this year. That's just a running joke. If you see Steve at the PP or in the parks, you can buy a guide for $10. Definitely worth it.
superpowered 1 gajillion candlewatt flashlights, it sure made the darkest places bright
I have one of those they rock ass, especially when people think you're a cop...
hey J,...leave it its awesonme It looks like the devil dog
Hehe, shine one of those back at the park rangers as they're trying to catch ya in the parks, it'll give you a head start while they're blinded :)
I wonder if I can claim the all-time record for earliest post of a clue. Note the time on Post #3097 (9:00 PM).
ANN..thats my gut feeling. Im with u there
and if i did have to pick a park it would be Kellog or the one down below it nearer to the river what ever it is called
jusme:
...so they didn't hide the medallion this year -- just a worthless hockey puck, so nobody gets any $$$.

haha KC that was hilarious :)
med queen...i get this vision of a human frogger game for some reason. :)
I didn't seem to see the obstructed view at all.... maybe it's where you stand? Navigation points again :)
I heard last time it was found at Kellogg, it was by a man & his sister-in-law & they were enjoying an extra-marital moment when the found it under a bench
Lol how do you explain that one away to people?
haha queen...at least they had money for divorce lawyers after that :)
psst....it was me :)
The last time it was other than a park was in 1969.
Hmmmm Maybe this is Ares' and Me2's time to shine....

North star steel is down just a bit from BCP I go by there everyday
Good point queen..
as far as always open...i think this may be a reference to the Radison Hotel which is across the street from the park. Just a thought....
Wow, look at the time. Obviously I can go to sleep this evening fairly assured the medallion won't be found before I wake up :)

unless of course it's in kellogg in an insanely obvious and overlooked spot.....
When someone finds the medallion and we all know where it is, I'm going to go there, and take a 360 degree digital panorama of the area :)
anyhow...my focus of searching will be in that vicinity
Ares & Me2 say goodnight from somewhere in Ramsey County.
What is the spelling of capital in the clue?
goodnight all, hope tomorrow's clue will shed more light on the subject :)
Dont the st paul signs say minnesota star city
I like that but not sure
ASK

ASK The?
ASK The rabbit?
oh, you mean 2MASS J04151954-0935066, nicknamed 2MASS 0415-0935 for short? In the constellation Eridanus?
A brown dwarf, of course (is the class of the coldest star).
Everyone should like their anagram.
The 2nd edition just came out this year.

Those who could use it most are denied!!! At least in theory. Good luck to you and all you work with!
And my smile is not a smirk...I mean it!

St. Paul was beheaded.
Sorry to hear that CM. I know what it's like to be out of work. Although I suppose it's even worse when you've been there quite a while.
