Man you guys rock! Thanks MK and Leela. I really appreciate the support. I guess I'll be looking for a standard management job since I have 25 years being in management. I guess the field really doesn't matter at this point. I'll IM you with my E-mail Leela. Thanks for the help.
I know if you go north of St. Paul up Rice St., you can see the Capitol pretty well. But as I recall you can only see it from about Highway 36 to Roselawn. Are there any parks there? I'm thinking there's not, except for McCarron's which is just north of Larpenteur. Although I suppose you could see McCarron's from the spot on Rice St. where you can see the Capitol. I'm not sure that anything else fits there though. It's mostly just a beach.
I also thought that perhaps Frost Lake might fit the clues, but I don't think you can see the Capitol from there. Does anyone know?
teddy, i believe it. whiffle ball was huge there, big tournaments. I remember winning saints tickets for the home run derby. I wonder how it will work with the size of that new gym
Parked among us might just be a clever way of saying it's in a park in St. Paul. I'm thinking Kellogg also and will be out there this afternoon if it's not found before then.
I'm still not certain on the view of the capitol dome, I just can't see them taking out so many parks with the 2nd clue. I'm thinking the park has a PP paper despenser with the Capitol dome on the banner of the paper
At Conway, the second clue mentioned a sledding hill. That took out a lot of flat parks. Last year the second clue mentioned hills. Not that many parks have hills. I've counted 21 parks that have views of the Capitol. It's cutting the field quite a bit, but hardly pinpointing it. If they're talking about just seeing a picture of the Capitol, that doesn't eliminate any parks at all. I have a harder time believing they'd put out a clue that didn't narrow it down whatsoever.
I'm really looking forward to this 5th clue. We can finally compare it to the others and discern between which clues are about the park and which are about what it's hidden in/around......at least i hope
Yeah, my noggin was sure spinning it's wheels last night... To this point in my mind, it could still be just about anywhere.. I can't go looking tonight, but I intend to go tomorrow (assuming it's still out there, but I'm thinking it will be) so hopefully tonight's clue will be a bit more discriminating.
Good Morning. Okay, sticking to my KISS theory (keep it simple, stupid), I'm thinkin' the legion and red, white, and blue could just be telling us it's near an American Legion or VFW....I'm trying to not read too much into each clue, but I still haven't narrowed down a place yet. So far I've got near a hockey rink and warming house, can see the cathedral and Capitol dome, in a baby shoe or something shoe related (polish), and the VFW..the north star (I like the polar, North Star ice references, etc) but don't quite know what to make out of that part.....
Ah. Then maybe what you need to do is subscribe to the thread and then click on the link that says "Mark as Read". And then everytime you hit "Check Messages" it will only show you the new posts since the last time you checked.
I've got gray hair, too. I just pluck them out with a tweezer. Unfortunately, it seems I'm pluckin' them out a lot more often now. I'm afraid it's a losing battle. That's why they've got hair coloring (or in your case, hare color)
There is a little park, just north of the St. Paul campus of the U. You can see the needle. It is not in St. Paul, maybe Falcon Heights or Roseville. There is a building, there is water. I can't remember much else about it but for some reason it came into my head as I was slogging.
going out right now unomass see ya later

wheres frost lake??
Allison, McCarrons is mostly a beach, but there is a little land on each end of the beach, and you can't see the Capitol Dome from Frost Lake
well, i got class (stupid class, not letting me hunt)
All is forgiven northern, if you have some good noodling for us
That's Tyler? Wow, I remember seeing pictures of him when he was this big --->|...........................................|

Hey all,
Any new insights since last evening as to where the medallion might be?
North Dale is in St. Paul, I dont think you can see the capitol from there, maybe...
<peek>
:( CM
anyone think of Northern Railroad for "guide you far"=transportation mode and 'North star"
Same here Teddy, a block away.
Hey, I grew up only a block away from North Dale also!
I lived right there on Parkview.
Me too Teddy, right down maywood street played all of my baseball and basketball there, whiffle ball in the summers, hockey in the winter
I know, i can't believe it, it's like 4 times the size it once was, i'm not sure when it will open, but it will be nice to get a look inside
Allison, i can remember riding my bike down that parkview hill from the playground, ah memories......

What type of management? Insurance? E-mail me too, CM.

Would they put it in ice, like frozen in an ice rink???
Probably not in the rink, because you'd have to wreck it to get it out, and nobody could skate.
yeah teddy, it's going to be nice. just a shame they didn't do anything earlier, like when we were in our whiffle ball primes

5K JOE!!!!!
True Allison, yet again
I just filled up my 5 gallon gas tank and I am going to Battle Creek and I am going to blow the whole darn place and find that stupid thing.
All of Battle Creek? That may take more than just 5 gallons. The park in it's entirety is huge!
Just a thought, but if the above were the case how would crosby farm work out?
Simple enough, it's not at Crosby. Probably never will be. There's just not a whole lot there to write clues about. I've tried.
I'm really looking forward to this 5th clue. We can finally compare it to the others and discern between which clues are about the park and which are about what it's hidden in/around......at least i hope
I'm liking the shoe idea, but i don't think it's a EEE, i think that was just to get us thinking it's in a shoe, not necessarily that size
is there a way to put the most recent post on top, insted of having to scroll to the bottom everytime??
Not that I know of. Don't you want to read the other posts?
Yeah, my noggin was sure spinning it's wheels last night... To this point in my mind, it could still be just about anywhere.. but, the last time I checked, the
<doors are always open> in a cave.
But then why would they call it "our" door? The cave doesn't really belong to anyone such that they would think of the opening as "their" door.
Hey AW--sounds like you had a nice bday last night. Quit sayin' you're old, you're makin' feel old and I'm only a year younger than you....
Ah. Then maybe what you need to do is subscribe to the thread and then click on the link that says "Mark as Read". And then everytime you hit "Check Messages" it will only show you the new posts since the last time you checked.
Dunker, click "mark as read" at the bottom.
I am old! I'm already getting gray hair!
good to know teddy, but I still think theres more to the shoe. I don't think with the lack of snow it would just be in a shoe out in a park somewhere
Does anyone know why the time is like 2 hrs behind on this site???
It says why at the top of the screen.
gray hare
hehe

As in Minnesota St.? hehe
