Not any interesting clues. You have one street to talk about, maybe two. There's the park name clue, and of course the first and last clue, so that's five. You could do one about the picnic shelter and one about the marina. Probably one about the river. Now you need at least 4 more and there's not much of anything left to talk about.
good deal, hopefully I can make it down there now too, took my first night off last night. But i have the next clue is going to get people talking a lot more
Hi all, I hate to be a lazy kid, but I am at school and I don't have enough time right now to slog. Has anyone figured out this clue? I read it at 6 AM and was completely out of it, but I was clueless. Can someone fill me in quick, I can slog it all when I get home.
Hey MacGrove, I'm sitting in Borlaug Hall right now....but i'm not picking up on what you think fits with the clues up here other than the Northstar ballroom
CM- I am sorry to hear that man, that really does suck. Now I am definetely rooting for you to find the medallion (If I don't). That sucks that they screw you out of your vacation, that seems wrong. What a bunch of jerks. I liked the pissing picture too!
Not sure if anyone checked the news but 2 more people went through the ice in Minnetonka and it got me thinking about all of us wandering through the night....be careful out there...and remember that they're not going to put it out over water.
Darn school always making me go to class and such. I need to go now, but I have 2 more hours untill I get to go home. Then I will spend an additional 3 hours slogging. I may get to post sometime around 5 again. I hope to get down to Ma PP tonight, but I am pretty freekin tired...
CM, give me and THX your e-mail and what your lookin for and we'll keep an eye out for ya too. One of my best friends was fired two weeks ago from Allina after 17 years and has found that it was a blessing in disguise. Sometimes God takes you out of a situation to put you in a better one.:)
I'm a bit worried about the cold myself. I was out in Kellogg last night for about 5 minutes and it seems especially windy there. I couldn't stay more than 5 minutes.
COLD = OLD A new candidate for the coldest star in the universe is ut to prove the old age of our galaxy. An international team led by University of Whyoming astronomer David Ciardi has discovered a tepid star no hotter than 1700 kelvins (2600 F), making it at least 7400 F coller than the sun. This unamed Milky Way star, about 160 light years from Earth, once burned brightly. But the old timers greedy binary partener, a dense white dwarf star only about the Earth- Moon distance away, has long been gobbling it up. So much of the stars mass has been consumed that it is now only .25 th mass of the sun. The process had to have begun at least 10 billion years ago, making the Milky Way at least that old.
MacGrove and Snow - I live right in the area you are describing. Just north of Larpenteur there is a park. I talked about it earlier. I am pretty sure you can see the Space Needle from there. I don't know what else because I have never walked the park.
I know there's a park called Tilden Park right off of Snelling by the fairgrounds. It's where I had my first Mock Hunt. it's tiny though with little more than a playground there.
Not posting this on the public board because this is my real take... I'm thinking that the coldest star is the north star and is simply pointing us to parks on that side of St.Paul proper. The neighborhoods I'm betting on are North End, Como and East Side. There are plenty of parks in those areas that have the right view and are interpretational to the red, white and blue clue as well. I have crossed off Eilleen Wieda. The view is right but the shelter clue among others don't fit there,IMHO. The other take is to look at parks between the Space Needle and the view of the Capitol/Cathedral. I have found three that all the clues fit between that area. Just some thoughts for the Cruelest Crew!:)
Lisa, it meant I couldn't post without THX approving 'em and couldn't read messages, either. Kind of a pain, so I've been lurking around under Frosti's account.
Congrats Runningchick! I'm still working on my pre-law under-grad. In two more hunts I'll be in law school. In five more hunts I will graduate!:) Will we be seeing you around this weekend?
Sorry about the off-topic. I really didn't want to bring it up in here, but I forgot where I was. Thanks Tim, me, Scribe and THX for your thoughts. All of you CC people are just way too cool for me. I'll IM you when I figure out where I want to go. I'm hoping to take my mind off of this damn thing and try and focus on the hunt for now. I can't have this whole job thing screw up this exciting part of the year. Talk to ya soon. I need to go in early to meet with an HR rep to find out all the details on bennies and such. Take care you guys.
Been noodling on that red white and blue and legions...thump me upside the head if this one's been suggested already, but that makes me think of Fourth of July and fireworks...maybe a park with big Fourth of July celebrations? Probably stupid. Gah, I hate how these clues make my mind go in the wrong directions.

Simple enough, it's not at Crosby. Probably never will be. There's just not a whole lot there to write clues about. I've tried.
I have thought about Crosby, and I think one could write several clues for there!!
And any park for that matter. You of all people should know that AW!
What's with the time on this thread. It's two hours off!
No it's not. You just overslept.
Wow. Look who's all here!

I'm done sloggin' East Side. I've got Dad noodlin' now over the clues. He said to call him later.
we can see a very clear view of all of downtown from in here.... the cathedral and capitol look very nice...but, you can't see anything from outside.

NL- I think I would be too distracted to work with such a view.

Am I being moderated, am I, am I? Hello cooler crew!
I know there's a park called Tilden Park right off of Snelling by the fairgrounds. It's where I had my first Mock Hunt. it's tiny though with little more than a playground there.
Just because it's red, white, and blue I assume. Though I don't know that I'd call it lovely.
You got needlephobia Allison? LOL! Hey Runningchick, where you been?
what streets are you referring to AW?? or street??
rrr
Not Tilden - I believe it is in Falcoln Heights or Roseville. I agree the Space Needle is not lovely.
Anyone made anything of St. Paul being martyred in Tripoli?

The PP is hosting a Vulcan Night!!! WOO HOO!
Hey Scribe, hey Mac! Been busy, Scribe--graduated in December, whoot. How 'bout you? Are you in law school now?
I'm not sure now. What did I say about a street?
It means someone has to approve your post before it appears on the board. Thus it's likely to be delayed.
Lisa, it meant I couldn't post without THX approving 'em and couldn't read messages, either. Kind of a pain, so I've been lurking around under Frosti's account.
Hey (speaking of being moderated), Happy Birthday again, Allison! Hope you had a great day!
It wasn't too bad considering I didn't find the medallion.
Congrats Runningchick! I'm still working on my pre-law under-grad. In two more hunts I'll be in law school. In five more hunts I will graduate!:) Will we be seeing you around this weekend?
