Thats why I was saying just in the entrance.... or even right near one of them.... plus another thing that adds to that, is "keep yourself warm, even in the dead of winter" thats what the old cave people used to do, back in the day.... they all lived in caves, to survive weather.
If it was hinting to a cave, I dont think they'd actually put it "in" the cave.... they would most likely have it either placed in the entrance, or near a cave someplace....
That way people arent trekking into the caves and gettin all hurt, and jacked because of them.
But then again, if it WAS inside the cave, and you found it, yet still got hurt all bad.. you'd have alot of money for hospital bills.
But they realize that if they talk about caves, people will go in caves, on the possibility it could be hidden there. So there would be no cave referencing clue.
Of course you can make the clues fit almost any park, but.....I still think I like my take on it. If you don't see me there in the next two hours, you won't get my theory.
URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN MN 324 PM CST WED JAN 22 2003
...DANGEROUS WINDCHILLS TONIGHT ACROSS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN...
.NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH TONIGHT...IN COMBINATION WITH VERY COLD TEMPERATURES FROM 10 BELOW TO 20 BELOW ZERO...WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS OF 25 TO 35 BELOW ZERO. THESE DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS ARE LIKELY ACROSS ALL OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA...AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN. THE COLDEST OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...BUT WIND SPEEDS WILL DECREASE BY AROUND MIDNIGHT...THUS LESSENING THE WIND CHILL FACTOR. THE DANGEROUS WINDS CHILLS ARE LIKELY FOR MOST OF THE NIGHT...ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.
THE COLDEST AIRMASS OF THE SEASON SO FAR WILL SETTLE OVER MINNESOTA TONIGHT. THE BRISK NORTHWEST WINDS AHEAD OF THIS ARCTIC AIRMASS COULD CAUSE FROSTBITE ON EXPOSED SKIN WITHIN 30 MINUTES.
NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE NIGHT...AND AS TEMPERATURES DROP BELOW ZERO...WIND CHILLS WILL PLUNGE INTO THE 25 TO 30 BELOW RANGE. THOSE PLANNING TO VENTURE OUTDOORS SHOULD USE COMMON SENSE AND DRESS WARMLY...MAKING SURE THAT ALL EXPOSED SKIN IS COVERED.
The only reason I like the it's not hidden yet theory is this- have you ever heard the old saying "if you put a million monkeys at typewriters for a million years, one of them will write a novel". With all of those diggers out there scouring every square inch...how would they not find it? Like last year... so many people scouted Merriam, then all of a sudden- someone just stumbles on it... BS.
I understand that Hoosier, and that's my point... last year at Merriam so many people went over every square inch...then all of a sudden. Yeah- if it IS at a larger park this year, it could already be hidden, but I just can't believe it was at Merriam.
its probally super hiding in clay/grass, and is layered in someting sooo dense that no light can escape its gravational pull, making it impossible to see... but i beleive its out thier.
Okay, Okay, I could be wrong, but women never want to admit that. Plus I want to whine that I dug there and probly stepped on it. Does anyone have any new takes on the "Legions" part of the clue?
But it could have been such an excellent ploy, Marley. Make a fake sign that says 'alternate park entrance' with an arrow leading to a cliff...
Maybe after what we said last year they WANT to hurt us!
Thats why I was saying just in the entrance.... or even right near one of them.... plus another thing that adds to that, is "keep yourself warm, even in the dead of winter" thats what the old cave people used to do, back in the day.... they all lived in caves, to survive weather.
I hope I didn't grievously offend the King. I didn't really expect anyone to take the ploy assertion seriously.
human24
Set a new record and post clue 12 for this year's hunt right now.
How are the paths at Battle Creek? Not familiar with that park, except for the sledding area. Thinking me and the mutt might go for a run tonight...
Maybe we're playing a game of Puck, Puck, Goose
I always figger there's nothing about caves in any clue. They would not want any percieved responsibility for people going in caves.
If I remember right those caves are blocked off...not sure, but I think they are.
Nah... theres a couple that have "re-opened"
Hello all, finally home from school... lets hunt!!!!
Nah, no reason to post it now. I already hold the record (post #3097, 9:00 PM).
I'm out...and thats puck,puck Grey Duck!
The caves aren't blocked off, but it is punishable by law to enter them...
Its also punishable by law to be in a park after 11:00 at night.
Dorothy Day center, I think is downtown.. right off of 7th.. before you get to 7 corners... near Excel arena.
But they realize that if they talk about caves, people will go in caves, on the possibility it could be hidden there. So there would be no cave referencing clue.
True. But a cape is good. Yeah?
So exxquisitely true. Yeah.
I know what the last clue means. It has nothing to do with the North Star.
Yeah, I don't think there's anything to do with caves in the clues at all....
Im still keepin that on my list...... for now.... we'll see what tonights clue does about it.
Tell us tell us!
God, what a hellacious slog! I couldn't even get throught them all. What's gone on crew?
Yeah... the only Hall I know of is Scott Hall.... and he's not wrestling right now.

Yes, I thought that Hoosier, but then clue one does say "The puck, it's parked among us. "
Talk to me...I found your sight...

hi all just got back. went to cherokee, mouds and swede hollow inset
Well.. that weather makes it sound like a fun night to hunt naked.
Is the Clue Writer this year a new one- or someone who has written before? And what does everyone think of the "it's not really hidden yet theory"?
These clues suck ass... they remind me too much of last year, when all it was, was stupid clues, and then someone just got lucky and found it.
BS.
yah, MacGrove, I was in my car on the way to Merriam when I got the call that it was found : (
hi lilslim i finly read all the old posts sorry i did not anser you but i kept getting knocked off the web.
Oh, digger. All I said was "my Digger waht a large Avatar you have" hee hee
I understand that Hoosier, and that's my point... last year at Merriam so many people went over every square inch...then all of a sudden. Yeah- if it IS at a larger park this year, it could already be hidden, but I just can't believe it was at Merriam.
hope tonights clue is a good one i want go a hunttin
amen to that
its probally super hiding in clay/grass, and is layered in someting sooo dense that no light can escape its gravational pull, making it impossible to see... but i beleive its out thier.
hi 2k3
Okay, Okay, I could be wrong, but women never want to admit that. Plus I want to whine that I dug there and probly stepped on it. Does anyone have any new takes on the "Legions" part of the clue?
hey east side. i'm hoping this clue gives us a street, or something the can direct us to any park, i want to get out there too
there were two guys stomping down the prary grass at mounds
