Capitol dome = the Pioneer Press's red/white/blue picture of the Capitol Dome on their doors. ....but the red/white/blue is a lovely clue could mean the dome pictures at the Pioneer Press, "your legions should hold dear" meaning the hunters should hold dear the PP as it sponsors the Medallion Hunt ...

Good noodles Annie! I didn't know their sign was r,w,& b!

Ok...riddle me this. What is the coldest star? There is no such thing in astral terms. Therefore, any references to the North Star (or any star in space) don't fly with me.

Yet, if you take it in context with the image of a flag, there are 50 stars and one is the coldest.......Minnesota.

I agree that the clues lead us right to the PP - but where is there public lands? Maybe just a red herring.

whats up with first letter not showwing up unless you space first

It only happens with lowercase b, i, or c- because they are used for html codes (bold, Italics etc...)

That's what I thought first...but I think its Mn. We should "hold it dear".

I agree Gui that there are lots of clues that lead us to Kellogg, but doesn't it seem too easy too soon?

Map Guy

Yes...Leela. Small park too.

There is no such thing in astral terms.

I was looking to see if there was bump in the Winter Carnival picture on the front of each of the bins to see if they would have hid it right behind that but didn't see any.

Wouldn't that have been a kicker! Thanks for the info :-)

What would a cold star be? Is it not a star if it emits energy like our sun? Enlighten me.

Wed, 01/22/2003 - 6:40 PM Permalink
Terry

If you google search, there's all sorts of information about the coldest star. Interesting reading if you're into that sort of stuff.

For other news: There's a chance of some auroral activity tonight so if you're out in a cold lonely park without a bunch of lights, look up now and again. You might get blessed with some northern lights.

Coldest star...Raymond Brrrrrrrrrrrrr??? Burr street?

Very clever!

Wed, 01/22/2003 - 6:43 PM Permalink

Like I said, nothing to do with our clues...

For other news: There's a chance of some auroral activity tonight so if you're out in a cold lonely park without a bunch of lights, look up now and again. You might get blessed with some northern lights.

Thanks Ter! I will keep an eye to the sky!

What exactly about the flag context is right on? The colors or the coldest star theory?

Artemis - You're welcome.

Hey, Sweetie, I miss ewe too. Guess we lost touch somewhere along the year. Such times we had...aluminum foil hats, water balloons at McG's, seeing Jonny Lang as the surprise guest that bar in NSP...

Water balloons at McG's. Now there's a memory.

Regarding the usual it's in a St. Paul park clue #1:

This is a new hunt. They're trying to keep it going longer. How many ways can you say it's in a St. Paul park year after year. And it's possible it's out in the county somewhere.

Well, this was a landmark evening. I initiated the kids to treasure hunting. Seems the boy is a natural...he didn't want to leave until we found it.

He got a crash course from his after school daycare provider on the hunt rules and the lingo....figure that, my kid..and he learns Treasure Hunt stuff from other people?

What next, I bet he's gonna want to get Medallionated.
