I actually dont get out because I am on the other side of the river and it would take me about an hour to get over there. And w/ my wife on bed rest I'm lucky to get out of the house at all.
I checked out Scheffer last nite with the whole Shoe Mural thingy. There was a hole in the corner of the building. I actually stuck my hand down there (I thought a gopher was gonna bite my fingers) Nothin. It seems to small.
not to sound out of discussion here, but hey, lilslim is hot. lol. so, yeah, thiers snow now.... so the hunt has gone from "hard", to "oh god why". but theirs that constant voice in my head telling me any moment now, some random stooge who never hunts will just stumble upon it!!!
I saw that same hole the other night too.... It looked like some kinda rat hole or somethin... You got more guts than I do, to stick your hand in there. I thought about it.. then I went... "Nah... screw that"
I was thinking for next year, maybe we could have some sort of cooler crew online map err something, I wonder if it's feasable to do online. Basically something where everyone hunting can use it, if they check out a park, they can click on it, add a comment to it like "Checked out east side of park, looks promising" or whatever... that way we could all tell what's been checked out...
no im flipping out man!!! going to class, staying up all night trying to make sense of the clues.. its like that scene in pee-wees big adventure, when he has everyone in his basement, and hes trying to figure out who stole his bike... "its a light a giant sweater you try to unravel, that someone just keeps knittiing, and knitting, and knitting,,,,,,,"
Well.. for one.. Scheffer has a big ass mural of Shoes on one side of the building... that and you can see the Capitol dome real good from there... plus, if ya wanna throw it in there, it has a hockey rink too.
Actually how would we go about it? I know of another bulletin board system that would make the formatting very simple and intuitive for a text based idea, no real maps though unless we just had one setup... The coding for something more advanced wouldn't work for this year, but I could have it setup by next year.
Actually, if the moderators wanted, they could probably put a folder or thread for each park. Could have a St Paul Parks folder, a Maplewood Parks folder, etc. In it, you would have a thread for each park. Como thread, Highland thread, Scheffer thread, Cherokee thread, Mounds thread, etc. That would be a lot of threads though to keep track of. I'm going to leave it up to the moderators to think about.
well, i dunno about the capitol cuz it was dark when we were out there and ran into you guys last nite, vj, but you can see the downtown skyline practically all the way down to the lake from there.
so i was at Kellogg, MLK, and West Minnehaha today. I like the idea of being downtown.. but if it was kellogg, i think it would have been found. there were a bunch of people there. i still wonder if it's at a park at all...
Notice that after the medallion being found after #6 last year, this year's clue 6 appears to tell us absolutely nothing - just taking up space?

That, I dont know... I didnt really have a long enough time to actually get out and check it out really good.
actually, kids, people are quite free to create folders, subfolders and discussions as they wish here.
Ares... true... I guess you'd call it a skating... thing? Ack... who knows.

Someone correct me if im wrong, but cant you see the Capitol from the pavillion at Como?

well, i dunno about the capitol cuz it was dark when we were out there and ran into you guys last nite, vj, but you can see the downtown skyline practically all the way down to the lake from there.
