St. Paul "took a leap" - I'm thinking in gaining aceage - sometime from one, maybeee two municipalities/unincorporated areas - and made a park outta that. Or it became a park. BC is at the conjunction of Maplewood, St. Paul, and Oakdale.
Re: that "Cap" dude: Leads me back to Harriett! He designed the Ice Palace way back and the 1992 Palace was at Harriet as well; Also, Harriett has a playground there shaped like a school house named after Harriet Bishop (Faith anew)--
Green - linear in this instance means things lined up in little rows....finish one thing and move to the next...group like things together...eat all of one thing on your plate before moving onto the next...linear.

Reg - A large park is a good idea. I just have never liked hunting at BC. 32 years of hunting leaves you with favorite parks and least favorite parks to hunt. BC is one of my least favorite.
Battle Creek would be good too.. close by as well I'll have a tan coat on, jeans, black shoes (not too much snow to worry bout) and probably wearing an ear flap type cap (I don't knwo what they're called) and glasses, kinda like the ones yer wearin in that pic
