Okay Queen, I'm not real familiar with that park. Are you? Would any of the other clues fit???

Rut-Ro...

They're telling us to play... So that means we gotta be ON the field/rink - not NEXT to it or SEE it... Like Xcel...

And there's no baseball fields - doubt a rink because they wouldn't want us to tear it up - at HI...

Oh, no...

the paper has it "sleuth"...

Once again, now that I am not in a rush

  • Here's a who done it, now you've begun it
  • To solve this mystery of sorts
  • If I were a sleuth, I'd search for the truth
  • By playing this greatest of sports

Note: last time I forgot to put a space between done and it. The paper has it as above.

Greatest of sports could it also be an unlikely sport such as Polo, rugby, or rowing (By HI)---

Mine was a call - in. Didn't think to ask how "who done it" was spelled. Sorry! And YES, I misspelled sleuth, but it's fixed now.

Any streets by the name of Holmes, Sherlock, Spade, Magnum, Columbo, or derivatives of those names or some like it?

The greatest of sports is medallion-hunting. DUH!

I had to pick a place now I would say Dunning park fields. anyone?

I think this clue is pretty straightforward. It's a refference to baseball. Probably means it's hidden in a baseball field or a park which has baseball fields. That's my immediate interpretation anyways

I just found my picture on the "No Time for Cold Feet" site! That's the coolerest thing that's happened to me all year!

    I thought of that too, Mad Scout;
But I can't dismiss those two references to pucks.

Would anyone concider boxing the greatest of all sports? I remember that when Larry Holmes lost in a decision to Larry Spinks(?) he said "Those judges can kiss me where the sun don't shine, and since we're on HBO that's my big black behind!"

ME?? No, I'm afraid I don't know where to go. Mounds, maybe? They do have ballfields, and I had considered it before the ran and ran clue....

Dunning - I don't know....it'd be out in the middle of the fields. Not where the sun isn't shining...the bleachers all all locked up. At least they were on Wednesday.

Dunning Rec center? Where is that? Or do you mean the fields.

I dun think its hockey Ya'll.... its been mentioned a whole shitload already, and that just what they want you to think, so that way when you find out its something else, you feel like a dumbass... my guess, is that its another sport... which one.. im not sure yet.. one thing I am glad of.. is that Harriet is now, more off my list than it was last night.

    Sun, 01/26/2003 - 10:33 PM Permalink
    JQsGal

I don't think we have to dismiss baseball just because they mentioned "puck" twice. Could be that the park has hockey rinks, warming houses, and baseball diamonds as well.....

    Sun, 01/26/2003 - 10:33 PM Permalink
    Downtown Dave

Note, it says you must play the sport. I think this is not referring to a sport with a stick and ball, but rather, a puzzle or hunt.

Where the medallion is actually hidden could be in a hole in a tree of a park having those things....

The Med has never been found in DUnning Park

    Tennis??

    Sun, 01/26/2003 - 10:38 PM Permalink
    Wicked Nick

They could easily hide it at a baseball field "where the sun aint shining".... it could mean underground... alot of baseball fields, have the bases that they put in the holes in the ground, so they dont go flying off when you slide into them... possibly they stuck it down inside one of the base holes...

    Found from google
.....But football is the greatest of sports
.....Oh lord ain’t hang gliding the greatest of sports
.....United We Act For Bowhunting The Greatest of Sports.
.....Rugby is a sport. Perhaps the greatest of sports
..... Casamassa considers martial arts the greatest of sports.

Sure y'all have run across some of these, too. Just thought it was a little funny. Must be the lack of sleep catching up to me :).

I know lots of people who find the truth..it has to do with a church. Any around Dunning rec? perhaps sports being plural means 'legends'

.....by playing this greatest of sports....

So, what sport would you play as a sleuth that you could search for the truth?

I've seen Hockey pop up after damn near every clue. They don't run a topic into the ground like that. People started mentioning it after clue one. I'd rather believe it was at Como in a Nerd Blizzard before thinking any of it has to do with Hockey...

I like the hockey noodling, but I'd think they'd be carefull about luring us to hockey rinks so as not to have hunters digging up all the ice rinks in the city. Wasn't there a stink about that when it was hidden at Conway?

I don't skate, and don't care about hockey, but that Conway melee made me sick.
