I can't recall either of them contributing anything that was actually useful to the discussion. So to me, it's nothing personal. Heck, I was hanging out with them most of the night eating their food. But logically, I don't see a reason to keep them around.
By the way, I still don't believe any of them were Mr. News. I even talked to Donny about it tonight. Donny doesn't (unless it's Jake posting as Donny). That's a subconscious thing and not something you just turn on and off unless maybe you're schizophrenic.
Hey East Side, good to be back. Thought we would have a park for sure by now, but it's almost better this way. If it's between the 6 clues last year or still debating which park (if it is a park) on the morning of the 9th clue, I would take the latter every time.

If you hide the medallion, even in your hearts, there will he rake for it . . ." -Henry V I think this clue is pretty straightforward. It's a refference to baseball. Probably means it's hidden in a baseball field or a park which has baseball fields. That's my immediate interpretation anyways

I'm so sorry that I'm so stale....I'm so sorry I'm stale....But still I gotta murder your face...Man I'm sorry I'm stale.... They could easily hide it at a baseball field "where the sun aint shining".... it could mean underground... alot of baseball fields, have the bases that they put in the holes in the ground, so they dont go flying off when you slide into them... possibly they stuck it down inside one of the base holes...

I think it's hockey... regarding the disagreement in clue #5: This came from an on-line history of sports in Minneapolis. The great leap is bringing hockey back to MN 2-3 teams... the experts can't decide "Major league hockey came to Minnesota in 1967 when the National Hockey League (NHL) added six new franchises, doubling their number of teams. The Minnesota North Stars played in the Metropolitan Sports Center (later called the Met Center) in Bloomington and nearly made the Stanley Cup finals in their first year. A double-overtime loss in the seventh game of a playoff series against the St. Louis Blues denied them that opportunity. The North Stars did make the Stanley Cup finals in 1981, when they lost to the New York Islanders, and in 1991, when they lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two years later, the area lost the North Stars when the team moved to Dallas. Another major league hockey team competed with the North Stars in the 1970s. The Minnesota Fighting Saints were a charter member of the World Hockey Association. The team began play in 1972, first in the St. Paul Auditorium, and then in the new St. Paul Civic Center, which was built adjacent to the Auditorium. In 2000, Minnesota had a new NHL team. The Minnesota Wild began playing in the Xcel Energy Center, which was built on the site of the Civic Center."

I like the Dunning field idea......reinforces a few ideas I have been sitting on...........Triple E shoe- Oxford- pool is nearby.... Then was it 2 or 3 they seem not to agree.....That's because it is MIDWAY between the two numbers.....and Dunning in in the Midway district. I think this site is enough to have the capitol dome visible...can someone confirm? This is a very busy site for ball. Then the clue about rid of the man she ran and ran....neared the finish with a walker- Dunlap Street.......Done the lap! North star= Coldest star and refers to hockey team....Northstars.......and mentions puck. So that's my take......from greyhound girl....who grew up a few miles from the area, but lives an hour and a half away! Happy Hunting and dreams of what you would do if you find the treasure! The dome lights are off tonight. We checked Dunning out a few days ago for that visibility. Scheffer, Lewis also have dome views. Capitol Mall has the whole Capitol view. MLK has the view too.
And if the view is nearby but not right at the site, Boyd and W. Minnehaha would also be in the running. At Boyd the view is about a block north of the park. At W. Minnehaha, the view is from the bridge on Dale where you can see the Capitol towards the east and the park to the west.

Truth = justice-that was one of my initial thoughts which made me think of the courthouse as we passed by it.
Join my Yahoo Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theallisonwonderland/for updates on the Mock Hunt and the Murder Mystery Weekend Thank you medallonis. What I find kind of funny though is that not a lot of people agree with me. I said it was at Merriam last year and a lot of people thought I was wrong. I swore it wasn't at Como the year before and that time I was wrong. On one hand, a single idea can really take hold and influence the crowd as we saw with McKnight Park. On the other hand, no one person really has the power to control where everyone goes. These clues don't really seem to have solutions. More like just opinions. But my opinion is still Harriet. I think the greatest of sports could well be yachting as I seem to recall having heard it called that at one time (I thought it was in a Trivial Pursuit game but all I found was it referred to as the most expensive sport to participate in). Anyway, this spot in Harriet isn't even my idea. I got it from Ve Ri Tas, but having seen it now, I think it's the one. Many others don't. Everyone in the end is going to make their own decision.
I'm still recouperating, called in sick today, so I'm thinking I bet not try to go out looking tonight, or to the pp, just in case I found it, might upset the boss a tad :) Plus I do feel rather sick yet, getting better though
I went to Harriet last night after the clue and there were a lot of people there, but only briefly. I guess people had to get up in the morning or didn't want to be out there alone at night or something because it was largely cleared out again by midnight.
the greatest sport I believe is Yahting...I have no facts on that but some educated guess :) educated and yahting....hahaha

I still think it might be down on Shepard road below kellog park. there is a parcel of land where the queen delta parks there in the summer. the strolling path extends for many a mile by the fish hatchery and back down on 61 which would be underneath Indians Mounds Regional but dont listen to me :) im not sure anymore with anything.

I think this clue is pretty straightforward. It's a refference to baseball. Probably means it's hidden in a baseball field or a park which has baseball fields. That's my immediate interpretation anyways

I think it's hockey... regarding the disagreement in clue #5:
This came from an on-line history of sports in Minneapolis. The great leap is bringing hockey back to MN
2-3 teams... the experts can't decide
"Major league hockey came to Minnesota in 1967 when the National Hockey League (NHL) added six new franchises, doubling their number of teams.

I have a charity in mind that really needs help.......a small humane society1

And if the view is nearby but not right at the site, Boyd and W. Minnehaha would also be in the running. At Boyd the view is about a block north of the park. At W. Minnehaha, the view is from the bridge on Dale where you can see the Capitol towards the east and the park to the west.

Thank you medallonis.
Everyone in the end is going to make their own decision.
ohh yah this ones going all the way
In which case, I'll want to be one of the first in line wednesday evening :)
Anyone know where the 1896 Ice Palace was? Or read the book by Larry Millett that was set during that year/carnival?
Sherlock Holmes and the Ice Palace Murders
Well said AW!
think i'll be at PP tonite after class. hope tonite's clue is better!
Yep just called the line it says no clue tell 11:30!
I still think its under a newspaper box on some obscure corner.
don't know how much longer i can take it...no sleep...brain fried....sore muscles.....it's a sickness!!!
the cooler crew went to perkins but it was sun. night daa it was closed so i went home
But then...I haven't decided where to hide it yet.
I'm still recouperating, called in sick today, so I'm thinking I bet not try to go out looking tonight, or to the pp, just in case I found it, might upset the boss a tad :) Plus I do feel rather sick yet, getting better though
Well, now that I've gotten some sleep and chilled out a bit, I overreacted. Probably more from past experience.
I've decided they don't get access to this thread. More because they don't consider it part of the Crew than anything else.
I went to Harriet last night after the clue and there were a lot of people there, but only briefly. I guess people had to get up in the morning or didn't want to be out there alone at night or something because it was largely cleared out again by midnight.
But then...I haven't decided where to hide it yet.
Let us know when you do decide.
I've always liked this thread. Why don't we just lurk the other thread and talk it over in this one?
It looks likelunch at Harriet today!
by all im going to mounds
