OK, finally the TV is off, . . .
Yes, I would NOT be watching AMerican Idol if I were free to go hunting. PA has NOTHING as cool as the Medallion Hunt.

KC0GRN

I can see it now, just like in the fellowship of the ring... medallion sitting in among sand and rocks and weeds, and a hand swooshes down in the water and snatches it up.

MedallionStallion

I tried noodling ciphers with the first letter of each line of all the clues, it brought me nowhere . . .

Tue, 01/28/2003 - 7:02 PM Permalink
Terry

Truly sorry you feel that way, Diggin.

I personally love the more difficult noodling and the fact that we're soon to clue 11 without it being found yet. Good hunt!

If they decided not to hide my medallion in a park this year, I'd think that would be pretty clear by tonights clue.

Tue, 01/28/2003 - 7:03 PM Permalink
Terry

I think we'll get a definate park or not park tonight. I agree Stallion.

Tue, 01/28/2003 - 7:04 PM Permalink
MedallionStallion

I agree Terry, good to see this thing go the distance. But it's hard not to get frustrated when nothing seems to make sense. Can't be in MN to take that frustration out through digging. Maybe I'll go out to the park up the block and go diggin' anyways!

I drove my chevy to the levee but the levee was dry

no horses and didn't get far

TerryV: add to that the fact that the clues are definitely referencing _something_, when the clues go on and on and they reference _everything_, it makes heads spin. Bravo to the cluewriter. They've sure made a change to the horrible south turn the hunt took in recent memory. The commercialization at the PP before the clue was released was absolute garbage. The multiple levels of prizes are a little annoying, but as long as we're not being forced to endure stuff while waiting for the clue, hey, they can give out all the free trips and groceries they want. I'd be more than happy with a hundred dollar prize and no strings attached. Registered buttons is where it _should_ have stayed, but the clue clipping is grudgingly accepted in my book.

By the way, is there any word about having the clues printed off the website this year? I might have to scramble to get all paper legitimate clues...

KC0GRN

Well said Terry. Very thought out clues this year, makes you really streach the ol noggin. Clue 11 will be interesting...

Mr. Mickey... Now if THAT ain't some noodlin'!!!

Very nice!!!

Wouldn't it be cool if they had worked the clues out so that we had to get an answer from watching the State of the Union Adress?
I guess that would mean they'd have to have had the text of the speech a long time ago. But it would still be cool. All of us hanging off the presidents every word, but not because we were really interested in what he had to say at all . . .

greyhound: It's bogus as far as we know. Anyone who finds the thing should have no excuse for not travelling the
<1 mile to turn it in immediately.

Stallion - You might be onto something!!! LOL!!!!!!!

Please let the rumors be true about one of us!!!!

Even experts couldn’t agree if Year 2000 was the last year of millenium 2, or the first year of millenium 3.

Great noodle, winterrunner. Don't know what it means, but great noodle.

Regarding lurkers. Lance says we've added another 100 or so in the past couple days for a total of 600+.
