Well, FINALLY home from work. I swear -- one of these years, I'm going to remember to book vacation days for the hunt. Every year I put it off and then forget until it's too late. I *did* get the okay to come in later tomorrow, so I am digging tonight!
Gonna go check out THE park, see if I can find the spot that feels right. See y'all out there!
Well we'll have to see what the clue explanations were. Maybe we would have. Or maybe they didn't care if it was really hard to solve the clues any earlier. Perhaps a long hunt with bad clues is better than a short hunt with good clues.
Went long enough for the paper to release a 13th clue - though the medallion was actually found before that clue was actually out. We used to have a copy of that clue though from an early edition of the paper.
I should point out the reason given for releasing a 13th clue was because of the deep snow cover that year. They figured people just needed more time and more exact location.
Has the medallion ever been turned in by more than one person (like a team of two or more?) if so, how do they split up the prize? is it for the team to decide?
1897 Como Zoo is founded when the City of St. Paul receives a gift of three deer. A pasture is fenced for them in Como Park.
Other accounts claim it was 2 deer I believe, though I haven't found one yet that says that for sure. But I believe that's all Clue #5 was trying to give us was the zoo.
My son Kris will be on tonight, in an attempt to get the clue for us. If you see him on, after the clue is out, could you please egram it to him? Thanks
Hey Reg, what's up???
I don't think they will narrow it down to a specific spot like they have done in the past. They are going to continue to mess with us!
I was down there last night!
In the past, yes. This year have been different all along and I expect it to continue.
I think they'll say where it is, but they'll phrase it in such a way as to make you think it's actually somewhere else.
nope, I didn't. I would've talked to you, silly!
I agree AW, that's my point!
I FINALLY GOT MY MAP BOOK LAST NIGHT!!! EVERYONE CHEER FOR LILSLIM!

No point in lurking tonight really.
Just a few more minutes I believe and this hunt will have lasted longer than the Conway hunt.

Looks like we might even make it to the length of Harriet
Or maybe even the 1984 Newell.

I doubt that would happen this year.

Reg - It will be at Como - probably in the picnic area. It's always in the park where the Medallion is found.
Whooah. What a hunt!

The clue comes out at midnight online.
The medallion has been turned in by groups more than once.
Hey Map Guy. Who woulda thunk, heh?
Hey Map Guy! You are the coolest of the cooler crew in my book...
Quite a trickster, that cluewriter.
Thanks, LSlim.
Sethmon - I think we met up with you for a bit at Conway one night. Right?
Jake who?
My guess is that someone already has and doesn't know it.
Cant believe it Jakes still at Harriet
I heard he was in the frog pond sticking his head up somewhere that the sun don't shine.

LOLROTFPMP!!!!!!!!!!!
Reg - Check out this site about what sort of 12th clue you can expect. http://coolercrew.com/
AW, Where did you find that info about the deer?
I wonder when people will start showing up at Ma Press...
So, I got one part of my ? answered. If a team doesfind it, does PP split the prizes down the middle, or does the team decide?
I would think that's a team decision. That information isn't released.
I just did a Yahoo search for "Como Zoo" and deer. The story is one I remembered reading somewhere.

He is either Kris or Kris S
I can't remember how he's registered.
