It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Dave I will have to agree with you. I had seen that you had posted that before and in the years past they used to spell out the park maybe they are spelling out a location near the park..
"...value as WELL in the NEW" Am I reading too much into this line of Clue 4? Could it be Newell? What else is near there that would fit in with other clues?
Taylor- runs right into Newell 150yrs ago president. Fairview runs right along newell. fairway-scene=====fairview. 9+5+4= 18 18 wheeler= Wheeler St. runs right along newell. 895= address at fairview and Taylor. 4= can't tell ya. Learn, goal, are all what it is in. Iconoclast= not really sure. Could it be hidden in a History book?
I think clue 4 is telling us to stay away from newell. Drove by there last night and its been really dug up. I think clue 4 is also telling us to be highlanders.
studying the past===Taylor, or history. value as WELL in the NEW==value at Newell. Popular outdoor attraction= Saints. Your chances are nil if you get to close to the action==stay away from all the stuff to do at Newell. Stay away from the basketball court, building, playground, baseball diamond.
Can't explain the 4. had a conversation with golden boy at Newell last night and me and G told him we ain't tellin+ it makes so much sense that there will be 25 people diggin in my spot tonight if I explain the 4
Birdie, I was there for a while last night as well... Does your 4 refer to a certain recreational activity that I will not mention if that's what you mean?
Yeah Linwood overlooks St. Francis church, among many other things. Maybe after I go out there in a while ther numbers will line up there, I guess we'll see.
usually the clue will line u up to where the medallion is, it's almost like X marks the spot. Last year at cherokee the spot where it was found all the clues lined up to this one spot.
my head feed through all this information I get on here and all its seems to do is take my off track of where I want to be!lol Does anyone know information about BC that they are willing to share? I know they have the no golf signs, the ski jump(but don't think thats in St.Paul).
adorn the front door means to decorate, what is it decorated with 9 and 5. find the four and it'll most likly will line up or point towards the decorated door
What if my husband delivers the newspaper? He is really an independant contractor, but if he subs then he gets a pay check from the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Does that mean that I am not eligible to win the prize, if I were to actually find the medallion, because he gets an occasional check from them?
Good evening! Took me 7 hours to get in here this morning!! Drove through Battle Creek, Highland, Mounds, and Phalen today. Most diggers found at Highland. Would like to hear some philosophies on todays clue.
I heard you were diggin'. If your new to the COOLER I suggest going back a couple thousand posts and check out the relevant messages. Believe it or no there are some pretty good Ideas flowing between the total nonsense and everyday conversation.
Naked guy...
Haven't heard from ya in a while....
What's your take on #5? You thinkin' NP? We may have an alternetive that might fit better than NP.
the one about the "well"...

LadyC - that is what is drawing people to Newell. But some say it's too easy.
--If 'well' is a water reference, it's awfully darn weak.
I agree Bronco Fan. I don't think the Pioneer Press would give it away like that in Clue #4. I'm looking forward to tonight's clue for more insight.
birdie, holden out on us come on man what the 4
I think clue 4 is telling us to stay away from newell. Drove by there last night and its been really dug up. I think clue 4 is also telling us to be highlanders.
Actually, I haven't ruled out Newell yet. I can't rule it out becuase it's too easy. I consider Newell to be the "lesser of all evils"

PLEASE HELP! HOW BIG IS THIS MEDALLION? WHAT COLOR? PLEASSSSSSSSSE!
Where is St Francis Park?

I agree that a lot of the stuff points to newell, but for them to be that direct about pointing us to newell makes me really cautious.
It's St. Francis church near Linwood
How can I get to the site that takes a poll on which park the majority thinks it's in?
Birdie, I was there for a while last night as well... Does your 4 refer to a certain recreational activity that I will not mention if that's what you mean?
Bill
St Francis Parish is off of 7th st. and St. Clair area.
Yeah Linwood overlooks St. Francis church, among many other things. Maybe after I go out there in a while ther numbers will line up there, I guess we'll see.
Bill, I agree, the stuff pointing too Newell seems to easy to figure out. But I ain't goin nowhere else unless I hear differently

The 4 has nothin to do with a recreational activity
birdie call my ass tell me it on the phone, about the 4
Birdie15
Four is what you yell when your golf ball is heading towards someone.
Gotta go to practice now. See everyone on here at about 9:30

It's in Newell for sure
It could also be Palace playground, right next door to the church, but they don't label that as a park!
I live right across the street from Palace
How big is Newell Park?
wouldn't that be hilarious, what if though of course!
Lady, not big... maybe 2 blocks by one block...

Pamela, not sure, but you should probably call the PP tommorrow. For tonight, I'd keep looking like I could....
Oooh. Quiet. Everyone must be eating.

Golden Boy...
Where are you diggin?
Bronco-fan, was it you who suggested University Ave. earlier today?
Fever - it's either pointing to a school, a library, or University Ave. Which basically narrows it down to, well, it doesn't.
Yep. They like pointing to streets.
10g's if the hours of a park bldg are posted on the front door, open 9-5 & 9-4 saturdays does that count?
Exactly, narrows it to nothing. Highland High? Where would University take you?
regalman, that seems to be a good idea... have you seen such a sign?
if it adorns the front door, meaning decorates it, it's very likely which door are u taking about.
If they were to decorate a door it would be those warmming houses
I saw the sign last night only 2 other people at the park. Dug there this afternoon, no one else around.
