WW, READ my tag-line!!! LOL!!! This Sunday, in Como, at the West Pic-a-Nic grounds where you torched yourself two years ago... LOL!!! About 12-1:00ish to whenever the last 'Head toddles off.
I just read the clue explanations. i think clue 7 was hard to solve if you didn't know the story of this Ann lady who killed her husband and hid out in COmo back in 1859!
Was the wooded area the Med was found that really woodsy area that goes from the pool to Hamline, or different woods...I just don't yet know the exact woods...thanks
c'mon WW, not ALL the clues were bad. Yes, I agree, some really obscure references and the wrong use of certain words. But every year when the explanations come out its like that. At least the hunt lasted till clue 12! That's pretty dang good!
Something to consider. Remember all the thoughts we had on these lines? Not one of them was used in the explanations. I generally liked these clues a lot better than previous ones. But to use a clue to something that doesn't boarder or can even be seen from the park is stretching it a bit though. Otherwise, I do have to give kudos' to the writer if he/she sees this. They really weren't too obscure at all. I'm sure we would of figured them out if we tried to make them fit Como instead of HI. We just didn't have enough noodle time due to all of the dig time instead.
Than those whose barbs have stung us.

I can't wait for AW's mock hunt. At least most lines are taken into consideration.
ive been doing cluses since i was a little kid,, never able to solve any till the 90's though, lol.. ok, i was in jail in 86',,, well,, my dads a cop, and we were taking a tour,, and we all had our picture taken. i gotta work at 1!!! ahhhh!!! i hate work!!!!! WORST CLUE WRITER EVER!!! Hunts need to be short,, otherwise i go wayy too long without sleeping, and not doing homework, and missing classes cuz i pass out before them and sleep through them, and stuff... then i go crazy.... if they doo go long,, i need clues that i feel will be solvable by mortal man and be applied to just ONE or TWO parks.. Clues shouldnt be able to simply applied to 3 parks,, but only very cleverly to one.. they should only be appliable to just one or 2,, no more! COMO dosnt even have 2 towers,, where other parks do, yet two towers is the answer,, come on people!!!!!! this clue writer needs to be over thrown!!!
this woman,, come on people,, it fit scheffer and harriet better, cuz you can actually find traces of these people at the park... thats like as obscure as if say,, the woman was my grandma (cuz she talks all day long and dosnt stop),, and she was married to my grandpa, who was good with woodworking, who built the horseshoe pits at scheffer, so its at scheffer.. how many people would of known that about my grandma?? maybe 100 people (my relitives and friends), sounds like more people than knew of this como woman
I agree, WW; how many people knew that much of Como's history? I grew up on Hamline right across the street from Como; I could hear the lions roar and night, and I didn't even know about this fugitive!
night every body.. i know im finally getting a co-worker,, so maybe they will work sunday, so i can spend more time at the bash.. if not, burn something for me!!:)
WORST CLUES SINCE LAST YEAR EVER!

Mally, see: Conspiracy Theory 2003. To me, not many o'the clues feel right, but for #1!
Yes, clue # 4 about the french immersion school was stretching it.
And #12, green!
Yes, this year they "moved" it from HI to Como!!

I don't think they moved it from H.I. to Como.
This was a well thought out, intentional and methodical mindf**k on behalf of the clue writer.
Kudos dear cluewriter, you f**ked us good.
:-)
Remember folks, we asked for it.

I did like clue #9 when if you played with the first words, points to Horton Avenue...

thier was not one good clue,, and i will die before i change that opinion!!! ok, im off to do homework,, ill be at the bash at 12
lucky number Joe!
Also the number of pennies that I have in the weird cache I found.
ps,, grandma is nearing the finish with a walker

Como Park was my back yard!
Reg: those woods we were all looking in on Clue 11? that night?
sersiouly, more people knew about my grandma,, this this woman at como!! i'd prove it if i could!
Reg: how far into the woods: ie, near the edge by the pool, toward the middle, etc. THANKS
