It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
digby
anybody realize the ks 95 tower is in full view at newell 95.4
Night Digger thinks battle creek could be a possibility. Someone mention there is a new ski jump and old jump. I roamed Newell in the dark and didn't see any clues to match up other than a sliding hill. The day light destroys my night vision. My tormented soul will hover over phalen tonight till the evil gatekeeper becons.
You guys may think that this is totally irrelavant now, but earlier someone suggested the state capitol. . .is that a park. . .if it isn't a park then notice in the first clue they were careful enough to say "on public ground(not park) in St. Paul"
it is always a park in st. paul, and i think the medallion may be at Battle creek Park, there is a school, as well as a sledding hill and a new cross country ski trail, and there used to be old portables but they just remodled and added new classrooms on. Also, there are some icerinks, as well as baseball fields, tennis courts, and basketball courts, i think battle creek is the place, but tonights clue will seal it for me
some of u people are just retarded, i give hamline university and u say think of a park near a school and also where does hamline point look at a st. paul map
So many of the clues point to Newell, but what would the "numbers keep score and adourn the front door" be there? Do you think the numbers have to be directly related to the door?
how about dunning field its neer 94 and university, and they have a school there and a ballfield with a score board???? and its close to concordia collage too
Well the clues are elusive. Allison Wonderland makes an excellent observation in post 5206. The clues seem to match at Highland and Como. Como has Oxord and Hamline Streets going around it and also the giant slide that the Army is building serves as a pointer. But I gotta admit I'm stumped. It seems most people have valid ideas and it really could be anywhere....gotta dig it...duke
the garage logic think tank is still betting on newell and a group is heading out there with cylinder powered shovels as we speak i will be joining them soon

or 94.5 it could be right
Either the medallion is at Newell or that's an incredible coincidence.

RW - the same Clue #1 does say "A park is the spot"
However, the Capitol grounds are technically classified as a park.
Phalen is a dead end. Have faith in HP.
Saw people digging on the corner of John Ireland and Summit. What's up with that?

HAMLINE UNIVERSITY--NEAR YOUR GOAL--SOMETHING WORTH LEARNING
SO WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK IT IS AT HIGHLAND PARK OR NEWELL PARK?
the place of learning doesn't have to be in sight it just has to be close.
Which parks do you think Hamline University point to?
old as "well"as the "new" Newell Park
Highland fits many many clues ..
think of a park neer a school!!!
BATTLE CREEK FITS MANY CLUES AS WELL
Anyone really thinking like an iconoclast?
A "new" park that has not been a medallion site?
What is the CW on Merriam?
some of u people are just retarded, i give hamline university and u say think of a park near a school and also where does hamline point look at a st. paul map
THEY WOULD NOT PUT THE MEDALLION DOWNTOWN, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PARKING AND THERE ARE TO MANY WINTER CARNIVAL HAPPENINGS GOING ON DOWNTOWN
ugg
Where is the closest hill to go sliding or skiing by Newell park?
Where are the icons?
highland believers 1 reason. battle creek one reason.
So many of the clues point to Newell, but what would the "numbers keep score and adourn the front door" be there? Do you think the numbers have to be directly related to the door?
they took off the icons to lessen the load so it won't crash as much
how about dunning field its neer 94 and university, and they have a school there and a ballfield with a score board???? and its close to concordia collage too
RW do everyone a favor and read back into previous comments that have been made
10 G's, what do you mean by battle creek one reason and highland one reason?
did anyone notice when the 3rd clue came out, they ran the 1st and 2nd as one in the pp. whats with that.
Thanks for icon info Campbell.
they didn't run the 1st and 2nd as the first, the first was 2 paragraphs
T A F N S I (first letters of each para)...AFTON IS_______? looking for an O
1 good reason why it's at highland and 1 good reason why it's at battle creek.
I just saw the tech report Campbell. I should read my screen.

what are the good reasons for it to be at higland and battle creek?
10g's i dont think thers any ONE good reason for one specific park....thats pretty sad huh?...
