Artemis, sign me up for a headband.

That's interesting.

I have the email that he sent to the PP and copied to me - down south...but it sounded like he changed his email and all that to the current one.

Whatever he did, he did what he could. Now it's getting the release.

yeah i don't think they show contact email info in the public whois record on a domain.

Ter, Ares, could *you* guys translate? What all does that mean?

Do you think we'll be able to get it?

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 10:59 PM Permalink

we ought to be able to get it no problem, green.

And with my getting sick this week, it just didn't work out to get together with my friend to finish what she's been working on.

Turns out that simple request from the domain holder is more complicated that it appears on the surface...and it's not her usual work. The shuttle blow up last week made Saturday a much different kind of day than she usually has there on the weekends when she could get this sort of thing done.

OH! THAT'S WONDERFUL!!!! :D Great!

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:01 PM Permalink

And Mike Bassett at the PP deserves some applause as he has done what he could.

That's so nice of her to help us, Ter. Thank her for me, wouldya'?

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:03 PM Permalink
Terry

You betcha.

She had actually gone in early last week to get some of it done when the news came in about the shuttle. She said it's amazing how quickly editors get into work on a Saturday morning when there's breaking news.

Goodnight Reg! SCDs and MCL!

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:06 PM Permalink
green

What does that mean, Ter? About Mike helping?

I'm totally clueless and in the dark over this... Would like to bee brought up to speed... Yust sos I know what's going on. I needn't meddle in it if you don't want, but there *izz* a soft spot in my heart for that domain name, how we came to have it originally, and all that stuff.

I'm just looking for reassurance that we're gonna get it and there's no hang-ups or anything.

And, too, if you want my meddling - if you think it would help the cause - someone just needa ask. I would gladly do what I can.

SCD's and MCL, Reg!!! Hurry bock!

Hello again!!

Fell asleep during movie #2 - no big loss I don't think either. Just funny as I was finishing up my 3rd pot of coffee for the day. I have GOT to get off the caffeine!

That Season's place on W 7th has been a Mexican joint for some time now -- and it *must* be a pretty good one too - it's always packed!

That was the place that claimed to have the Cherokee Sirloin Room's steaks. Uh - Yah....maybe 2 week old ones.

Green - Dad's b-day is a 21st, but it's not until August. Don't know if that could have been stuck in your head.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:11 PM Permalink
Terry

Hey Frosti! Get celebrating!

Green - Mike has helped do some of the leg work to figure out who, what, why, when...

We'll get the domain name. No problem. Just takes more time than I would like.

See any movies that are worth staying awake for lately, Mom?

That's cool about the domain name!! Glad it's working out the way it's supposed to!

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:14 PM Permalink
Terry

That's right! I forgot about the Cherokee Sirloin Room steak claim. Too funny!!! Like no one had been there before and so couldn't compare?!?

The movie we saw last week in the theater was pretty good -- About Schmidt. Real depressing, but good....at least I liked it.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:17 PM Permalink
Terry

I thought I'd like to see Catch Me if You Can. We hardly ever go to the theater - or watch movies anywhere...but that one seemed like it could be interesting.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:18 PM Permalink
'mom'

I'd like to see that one, too. I like to watch movies, but up until the past year or so we've only seen them on video or tv. Just isn't always that easy to get out with 3 little kids at home. Course there's always the drive in in the summer -- but I think we only got out to do that once or twice last year.

Hey, what about babysitters *MOM*?

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:21 PM Permalink
green

Hay, Mom! Bet thass it! Cooler!

Time's otay, Ter. I, like you, get impatient. However, if ittiz like a done deal and will happen, I can live with the time thighy. As long as we can have what's rightfully ours...

I wish I'd been the brainiac that thought up the idea to get the domain name bock. To whomever that idea dawned on, MUCHO KUDOS!!!! THANKS!!! :D

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:22 PM Permalink
'mom'

babysitters?

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:22 PM Permalink
Terry

Hi Kids!

The last movie we saw in the theater was Titanic. We did that for our anniversary that year after spending a wintery morning at the Conservatory at Como.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:23 PM Permalink
'mom'

We've never paid anyone to watch our kids - at least not at night. It's always either of our parents. Or someone else that has kids and we can watch each other's in return.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:24 PM Permalink
Terry

Green - It will happen. If nothing else, the date for them to release the domain is approaching. No problem.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:24 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Yeah, get the klownz to babysit ;)

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:24 PM Permalink
green

Ter, you want me do discuss muffs? No? Well then I suggest you no discourse on (shudder) Como. Thank you.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:25 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Last movie I saw in the theaters was The Two Towers.

Hey *MOM*, with that arrangement, does that mean I'd watch your kids, and you'd watch me?

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:25 PM Permalink
Terry

I could never find a sitter when my kids were little. My mom watched them a couple times so we could go out to medallion hunt, but even if we could have afforded a sitter, we could never find one.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:25 PM Permalink
Terry

Green - There's nothing more about muffs anyone could say....it's already been said and beaten to death.

Besides - it was very nice in the conservatory that day. There was even a wedding we watched while there. So nice to see someone else starting off on our anniversary day.

ThoseMedallingKids

Como will always be special to me in a way because that's where I proposed. :)

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:29 PM Permalink
'mom'

Kids - LOL! I guess so.

That's just it, Terry. It's hard enough to find time to go out and do something in the first place. If we had to be together enough to arrange for anybody *else* to come watch the kids, we'd NEVER get out. Not to mention the added expense....not that we couldn't afford it once in a while....

Last weekend, we were lucky enough that Dad's dad had actually called up and OFFERED to take the kids overnight for a sleepover. Uh, let me think about that for a minute, ok?

(putting hands over eyes....)

LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!!!! I CAN'T READ YOU! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! No say like that!

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:31 PM Permalink
Terry

Kids - That's right. You'll always remember that as a special place.

I said yes at Indian Mounds. I always hold that as a special place.

I love to go to the Conservatory this time of year. It gives one hope that there'll be an end to the Winter.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:31 PM Permalink
Terry

Remember when we thought this winter not too bad? Like about 3 weeks ago?

I'm sick and tired of it now!!!!

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:32 PM Permalink

Kids! That's WAY COOLER! I do pray... NOT by the Frog Pond!

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:33 PM Permalink
'mom'

Don't know that I *ever* said "yes"....things just sort of happened.

not that I have *any* regrets ;)

JOE!

ThoseMedallingKids

It was a wonderful day. The weather held up enough. We walked through the zoo with her family. Then we split up. We walked through the Conservatory. Through the Japanese garden. Then to the Frog Pond. There were kids around. I was waiting for them to get lost so I could get down to business. I even remembering sitting around the Frog Pond months before, planning things out, daydreaming.

Kids!!! Get married there! And The 'Crew could all come and your lovely bride could walk down the asile underneath raised shovels!!!!

The reception could bee held at The West Pic-a-Nic grounds!!! :D

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:35 PM Permalink
Terry

Mom - The no regrets part is the best.

I think I had to say yes to something. The proposal was something like "Wanna get married or should we live together?" He wasn't giving me a chance to say no, but I could choose what to say yes to. :->>>

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:37 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Green, weren't you just voicing your displeasure about Como a minute or two ago? Now you want to be there? Hehe, everyone has an idea of where I should be married. Mostly it's down at the PP. Unfortunately at this time it looks like it will be held in SD.

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:37 PM Permalink
Terry

There could always be a reception kinda thing though later?!?

Sat, 02/08/2003 - 11:38 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Yeah Terry, I'm thinking that's what will happen. At this point, we've just been thinking immediate family for the wedding. We don't have a lot of money, and we're not into big fancy parties I suppose. We're both not really the host-y types.

I do remember someone talking about meeting my fiancee when she comes visit. I thought that it would be great if there was a hunt going on she could participate in, but I wouldn't have a cooler crew gathering just to meet her. She's too shy for that.
