Kollin took my Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox to school today. He has a food/nutrition class and had to prepare a nutritious lunch for a 5th grade student.

Hmmm, I've just been reminded of one of the drawbacks of being the cluewriter that I had experienced last year and forgot about. Oh well.

me2

I look forward to hearing about your drawback.

Mon, 03/10/2003 - 10:24 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Well the drawback is when someone throws out a theory and I don't understand where it came from, I can't very well ask them, because then they would know it was probably wrong. But the one I read that I was confused on, I figured out now anyway.

I am sure you you wanted to say was...

Well the drawback is when Me2 throws out a theory and I don't understand where it came from, I can't very well ask her, because then she would know it was probably wrong

hahahaha

The problem with Me2 is when she tells me about how she solved all the clues and she knows exactly where it is and as she describes it, I have to pretend to know what she's talking about being that I've never actually been to the spot she's talking about.

But in this case, it was someone else's theory.

Don't you know this hunt is just for ME and everyone else is just giving me ideas -helping ME out- hehehe thanks everyone ;)
I'll get there AW, not by driving a car, but I will get there.

Well no one has found it yet.

Oh, and I should mention, the prize at this point in time stands officially at $200.

I've got $20 to throw at the prize $ to build it now officially to $220. but I plan to find it so it's not like donating anything - hehe -- but if you do find it, I'll hook up w/AW & get him the $.

Ahhh, finally a hunt where I cannot even pretend to know what is going on with the clues. Very refreshing! I love AW's hunts!

I think some people would find that statement amusing considering the avatar you have.

Come to think of it, good point TMK, but I can't lie and I have a feeling that no one has a clue yet as to what the first cles mean. I guess we will see in the end.

how 'bout a word jumble on clue 1 -- "heaps" = shape
"spot the fourteen squares" squares?? shapes?? any thoughts
how 'bout 14 squared = 14x14 =196
do anything for anyone? bus route? bus #? "how would you go? you'd drive to the park, no?
how 'bout a park w/14 statues (square= someone who is boring) I'm thinking statues are boring! LOL
I am diggin' too deep -- I'm gonna really get into this hunt.

two cubed joe ?? not squared

Mr. Med Hunter

14 Squares and 14 people at Fern's . . . . Coincidence?

I've met most of you and wouldn't consider any of you as square.

So who's ready for another clue?

Mon, 03/10/2003 - 4:51 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Just so you know, I'll be posting the clue and then heading out to dinner, so there's not much point in addressing me after that.

Mon, 03/10/2003 - 4:54 PM Permalink

I'm ready, so let's have it.

Clue #3

The game of Gin won’t help you win
And in Poker, no one sits in the north
Instead set your aim, by sighting this game
And you may need to go look for a fourth.

And the previous clues:

Clue #2

While taking a look around, you'll see hazards abound
And thus safety and common sense are important details
Troubling I think it would be, if I should happen to see
Legions of hunters wandering too far from the trails.

Might it be true, you'd like another clue?
Solve then if you will my funny little riddle.
How would you go? You'd drive to the park, no?
Right you would be if you first look for the middle.

Clue #1

Because St. Paul is the place, flowing with heaps of park space,
You may consider it smart to work together in pairs.
For two heads keep better pace seeking out a treasure's hidden place
Or then again one person alone may spot the fourteen squares.

anagram for GIN POKER = ROPE KING

you think AW is a little conceited hiding a secret about himself in the clue ;)

What is the FOURTH for? any guesses?
besides 4 players in Bridge

are there any archery places around or places to shoot guns?

Mon, 03/10/2003 - 7:39 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

You could shoot them anywhere. Just not all of them are legal.

I was thinking more on the lines of like an indoor shooting range.

I was eyeing the word AIM myself
AIM backwards is MIA missing in action
or the girl from Princess Diaries

Aim = American Indian Movement

AIM = AOL Instant Messanger

AIM =

1 : to direct a course; specifically : to point a weapon at an object
2 : ASPIRE, INTEND
<aims to reform the government>
transitive senses
1 obsolete : GUESS, CONJECTURE
2 a : POINT b : to direct to or toward a specified object or goal

AW uses the word ONE in that clue #3 what about UNABRIDGE meaning the largest most complete bridge = HIGHBRIDGE

along with noticing all the ACE and one clues in clue #2

Mon, 03/10/2003 - 8:00 PM Permalink

I was also looking at the word sighting......like sighting a gun. Or a compound bow?
