Heard from my sister who was at the hospital after I left (she came later during the day). Mom ate dinner, has been alert, talking, taking some pain meds but isn't in terrible pain. Hopefully things will continue going well. The nurses sure seem to be good there.

well, in theory, its a drop-in replacement for a pentium chip. dunno how well they actually work though.
Yeah, theory and reality are two different things.
Their web-site says they got it to work on my factory IBM machine with only one minor problem.
I doubt I'd do anything like that but found it interesting nonetheless.

Ok, a funny story from work today. I work at the Hastings School District helping them transfer their HR and payroll data into a new database. So today we were having a meeting about it and one person asked the Director of Finance what information he wanted on the Census Report. He was looking down at some notes while thinking and then began with, "I want sex...". I let out a laugh and then everyone looked at me and then they started laughing because I was laughing. I suppose if I had really wanted to be funny, I should have responded with, "Now?"
