ya, mon
Do the rest of the clues fit for Teddy Wirth there?
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Twins and the StarTribune have announced that the "Golden Twins Ticket" was found on Tuesday morning. Nora Hedling, Bonnie West, and Chris Nelson of St. Paul found the "Golden Twins Ticket" in Pearl Park, located across from Diamond Lake off Portland Avenue. The ticket was taped under the bleachers on baseball field #1.
Guess it wasn't at Teddy Wirth.
Did anyone else notice they were copying the rhyme scheme of the Pioneer Press? Though other than that, the clues were very different.
I'm going to go out to the park today. See what it's like. I'll report back what I see later.
I went to highschool with a Chris Nelson. I was looking twords that area last night too just not Pearl-saw it on the map though. Can you beleive such a short hunt and they put it in a small park?
PORT for airport maybe
thought of Diamond for baseball diamond but for AJ I thought more of homeplate not just any diamond.
Now see Lilman? how what looks like good clues turns into a terrible hunt? That is why we can't tell you how yours is going til the end when we can finally say it sucked! hehehe
ah, take note that it was hidden in Pearl Park = PP = Pioneer Press
hahhahahaha
Retired president = Clinton Ave.
I think they wanted/needed a short hunt to make sure they could get things set up for the home opener on April 4.
You know I was looking at Clinton on the map, and the fact that it was near Columbus, but I didn't see a park that seemed to span the both of them that was south of 62.
Wow!
Clue 4
In a bind? They're the hardest thing to find,
Millions of year in the making.
Diamonds and PEARLS! hmmm!
Doesn't help us now. I went out there today. The cage is a batting cage in the park. Hooligans to the north I think is a soccer field to the north. Yellow back and forth to the south I think is tennis courts south of where it was. I'm not sure about the bonsai. The rec center had a pattern on it, which looked a bit like fan trees. But not what I would really call "giant bonsai" I can't figure the president and explorer. Oh well.
Good job TMK
I can't figure the president and explorer.
See above
Good job on the Diamonds and Pearls thing too MK

Right I would think its Clinton and columbo looking now but there not really on the park !
Columbus touches what still could be considered the southeast side of the park and Clinton runs along the west side but is officially one street over at the north end.
I hope it was taped to the bottom bleacher anyway. I always look under those damn things.
Columbus touches what still could be considered the southeast side of the park and Clinton runs along the west side but is officially one street over at the north end.
So... someone named Columbus, touched Clinton over on the West Side??? Do Hillary and Monica know about this?
There doin' it at Central Perk so they really don't care at the moment.
Guess who plays the guy?
Did anybody get the paper today!
Are the answers to the clues in there, if so please post!
No, they weren't there. Just a picture of the finders, along with where it was found. That was it.
Bastards!!
no shit...oops did i say that?
well, whaddya expect from the worthless heap of processed wood pulp that is the strib?
I too looked at Clinton - there is even a Clinton Park near the Mpls Institute of Art. But the way the question in the clue was asked it made it sound like it was the same person.
When I looked at the map I noticed there were many parks in Mpls. (mostly south of 62) that were named after Presidents.
Also- K-the Opener is tonight, right?
I thought the finders were suposed to throw out the first pitch.
But, I just heard on the morning news that 2 guys in Kuwait via sattelite are gonna throw out the first pitch???
whats up?
Me2, look at the header of this hunt. Read the rules. Then look at your post header. I trust you can figure out the big mystery.
Ah- I thought it was for the first game period. Thanks.
Atleast there wasnt a French School clue or 1 about the escaped convic that was hiding out on clinton st in 1846!hehe
anyone have the answers to the clues yet?
I still have not seen them
none of us is ballsey enough to buy the strib to find out.
'strib'? now if it was called 'strip' I can see you guys buying it!
Maybe they should consider changing their name.
and just imagine where they would hide the golden ticket with a name like 'strip' ;)
i'm betting ares' thong has something to do with it. :)
its always about you.
do you secretly work for the strip, I mean strib?
it isalways about me, and wouldn't youjust like to know? ;)
I let you think its always about YOU, therefore I already know ;)
actually, you explicitly said it was about me.
This is where it was apparently found. The bleachers in the background. The softball field here isn't the field in question. The baseball field is in back, with green fencing around it.
This is the rec center building. This is what I'm thinking may be the "giant bonsai". I'll let you decide.
Those CANNOT be what they were thinking for Bonsai.
and...arnt those portable bleachers?
taking a chance that they arn't gonna be moved.
I can actually say-if I would have driven by that park I would not have tought it to be there. Hense...this hunt was RIGGED...had to be if they can't even post the answers to the clues.
It is pretty lame that they don't post the answers to the clues, it lacks a sense of closure. I guess the Coon Rapids and NSP hunts don't give the answers to theirs either.
Thanks for the pics Kids!
WoW- bummer -how do we know then that it wasn't rigged without closure and answers?
thank you KIDS ;) for the pics & protecting me in Theo Park
That just sucks when they dont give the answers!
And they are RIGGED if you ask me. 6 clue hunts SUCK.......
I talked to my friend at the strip and they said they couldnt find the answers, they had been misplaced. -OK- So why not rewrite them? Cause the clue writter is a secret!
Very bad hunt!
Thanks for the pics kid
That tree is famous here in mpls. geshhh guys
well the person who found it probly got the answers from someone who works at the strib that stole the answers. Geesh -thats really bad! so anyone coulda gone into the printing and said 'stop the press I need to change the clue' and noone would be the wiser that it wasnt really the cluewriter?
So, I wonder how the cluewriter gets paid. If no one know who he is to get the answers and all. Then they can't find him to give him a check? whatever! They coulda gotten the answers from him! someone obviously knows who he.
