1999 Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Ashlee Olds

I'm not quite sure, that's not the number of the school in the St Paul School District, but I'll visit the homepage...

Barton, I still think it is at Highland, However, a strong case was made earlier for Battle Creek. What do you make of this last clue in relation to Highland. I can't find any anagrams on it either.

Barton, I like yer ideas....Highland Park Senior High is a school that is located in the Highland Park neighborhood. With the facilities of 12 acres (1 major building), with Highland Junior High right next door. Highland Senior High's facilities also includes athletic fields across the street on Snelling, tennis courts, (also located across the street on snelling),The founding date was in 1963.

ashlee... whats the one major building??? anything special about it???

Christopher, there was a lot of people that posted there own little thoughts as to why it would be there, there was also some retractors, such as part of the park is in Maplewood. However, some points were it was found there in 1995 its 1999, that is four years ago, points to clue #3. FLying down a hill, there are ski jumps and sledding hills over there, points to clue #2. If you look at the First letter of the first line of each clue it starts to spell out St. Francis, I think there is something in regards to a St. Francis. A man of Fame, there is a Ruth street over there-babe Ruth. There is a hockey rink that numbers are kept on and ther are schools near by. Whew, thats pretty much the gist of it.

TO WHOMEVER THINKS THE 1ST LETTER OF EACH CLUE IS SPELLING ST. FRANCIS, LOOK AGAIN. I THINK IT'S AT A PARK WITH NO GOLF COURSE. HAVE BEEN A HARDCORE HUNTER FOR MANY YEARS, BUT OUT OF THE LOOP FOR THE LAST TWO DUE TO THE BIRTH OF MY DAUGHTER. WILL BE OUT THIS WEEKEND WITH HER, START HER OFF YOUNG. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. P.S. ARE THE WINNEBAGO CREW STILL AROUND??
