Alas, it was not to be for us to make it down tonight, either. Thought for a little bit that it might happen, but didn't want to subject everyone to our kids tonight. They were all a little irritable.

It was actually kind of nice to have a night in anyway. I haven't been home in the evening since Monday. We still have some running around to do in the morning to get ready for Hannah's party and Easter dinner, so I'd better head for the blankets. Hope y'all are having a great time!

sorry i didn't make it fri. aw i was at the target center watching the ICC (international caged combat) UFC stuff. there was alot of good fights that night,alot of home town fighters.

WoW~ I had quite the evening last night.
Avril Lavigne and GOB (and 15000 teenagers with their parents ;))
(first thing outa GOB's mouth is Hello F@(&!#% Minnesota -F this and F that. good voices but terrible role models for kids).

Avril impressed me. She sang wonderfully.

My girlfriends aunt was working at the Excel last night so I send the kids down to their seats and we went to see her aunt(on the other side of the arena)I have my binoculars so I start the search across the arena to make sure the kids got to their seats ok. I don't see them. we were supposed to be in row 7 of section 120 (at an angle behind the stage)I kept counting up 7 rows -nothing! Finally I see someone who looks like my daughters friend. Sure enough...it was them. It looked like they were sitting in the aisle in the front row of the section. Well, I knew they were there so I felt better. We go over to sit with them, when we get down there we find out that there are NO 1-6 rows in this section and the Avril stage is shorter and skinnier than typical stages so we were in the FRONT ROW directly on the side of the stage!!!! WoW!!!!

I got to see people get squished on the floor from the 'open seating' and kids get lifted over the barrier from being trapped. I will never get 'open floor' tickets after seeing that.

A bummer was that Avril didn't spend even 20% coming over to our side of the stage. Have you ever noticed that at concerts? that singers usually have a favorite side of a stage? I will post a few pics later - it was worth going-had a good time.

You should see X-Fest or Ozzfest...

Them pulling the people over the barrier is usually them grabbing body surfers that get too close. From what I've seen security doesn't normally help people getting squashed... but then again, this was probably a younger crowd than what I'm used to, so they probably had a little more compasion.

I had to get pulled out at the family values tour, I swear those little kids were tryin' to kill me!

there were body surfers too- forget about them.
