As far as feeling strange, it has taken me quite a few less beers tonight to get where I usually like to be. I think some of it might be because I've had only one eye open for the last 2 hours looking through a telescope. Pretty cool stuff tonight. Although the southern metro did have some periodic cloud cover from time to time. It was well worth it. Here's a couple of quick pix I took earlier.

P.S. - Is anyone watching Conan right now? His entire show is in claymation. It wasn't done with a computer either. It was done just like Mr. Bill. It must have taken weeks to do a whole show like this.

Funny you say that as I kept insisting to my brother, who also lives in CG, that the one cloud in the sky couldn't have been covering the moon for him. He kept saying that it was. I just thought he was trying to find it during totality.

Maybe that's why they call it Grey Cloud Island?

My bro even made fun of the cloud on his web site with this picture.

Went to the dentist today the felling is finally coming back in my mouth.

Dentist can be a good thing I had a real bad cavity. I was in so much pain I could not even brush on that side it's all good now.

I agree with someone taking away the pain--
I do NOT agree with the chincy insurance for dental no matter what plan you have -if it doesnt cover 80-100% on filling/crowns/bridges/dentures thats just plain WRONG! Dental should be combined with medical expenses -it is apart of the body that can carry disease (Ares and I had this conversation last night hahahah). They are HIGH a$$ overpricing SOB's! and there is technically no guarentee on their work. You get a crown or a filling and it comes out in 2-3 months you have to repay for #1 at least the dental visit and usually #2 to have it redone! If you are paying $800 for a crown than they should at least cover it for life if it falls out or an infection arises from them not getting all the infection out of the tooth in the first place. And the hours!-man some of the dentist are only open 7-3 M-Th ! goodness -They are chisters!

Friday after work, N picked me up and we went to happy hour with her co-workers (after dropping off the kids at grandma and grandpa's for the weekend). Went for a long bike ride Saturday, followed immediately by a visit to the drive-in. Sunday, I slept 'til noon, woke up, drove to get kids. Kids and I woke up this morning, got dressed, ate breakfast, etc. Walked to the garage and opened the door. No car! We never picked it up from where I'd parked it on Friday morning when I left for work. D'oh!
