It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Boreas Rex
MOTHER - let's hear your ideas on the rest of the clues.
Okay a thought on the sledding aspect of things...I (and most everyone) has been working on a park with sledding, with the medallion away from the "action"...but what do folks think about the clue meaning actually a park with no sledding at all? (Along with no golf course)...any merit there?
I use to live in two blocks from Newell now I live in SD and I still am hooked on this. I call my folks and sister with my thoughts on clues and they go looking
the sledding thing never said sledding people. They like to screw with you that way. they expect you to interprit thing that you should not. it says flying.
Here's an Idea - What parks has the Medallion Not Been found in?? With all the NEW things goin on in Minnesota Why not follow the same pursuit with the Medallion . . .
Near Merriam Park...94 is near by and there's Merriam Park Library for studying history and learning at the Longfellow school. There's hills for sledding, there's a Pryor Ave., Wilder St., and St.Anthony Ave.
Hi folks, I am going to try this again. I want to get in on the clue discussion. As I am clueless. I believed it to be in Indian Mound Park near a historical marker. There are several, Indian Mound Park runs right into Battle Creek Park. It does not have a rec center like the city playgrounds, however it has all the other amenities like play equipment, picnic shelters, hills to slid on. The history of the Hopewell Indians is barried in the mounds. Some of the mounds are bigger than others and so they are easy to see. Some are small and you have to look for them. (Just a note, the mounds are visiable and are fenced off, don't mess with them. Just know their reference and history.) Anyway like it is with each new clue. I'll start over again. I do believe it is in the City of St.Paul and not in a park that is located in Ramsey County but outside of St. Paul.
The Ham's mansion burned down in the 1950's I believe. It had a view of the Brewery - Now owned by Stroh's. It was in Swede's Hollow - Which has a Wicked evil Sliding hill that would take you straight into a creek.

Well just because it is the most promonate definition does't mean it's the right one. They may be using another deffinitionj to confuse people
Mother - could that not be talking about something that was destroyed?? And to follow that path?
the sledding thing never said sledding people. They like to screw with you that way. they expect you to interprit thing that you should not. it says flying.
