It's funny that you mention alcohol. This is the first time in recent memory that I didn't have any beer with me while discin'. I can't remember that last time that I didn't have a few while out on the course. That's got to be it I tells ya. I did take a couple of 800's of Ibuprofen when I got home. A drink sounds pretty good now though. I'm gonna meet a friend of mine down at Al's (old Marv's) in SSP to help him celebrate his birthday. That should give me enough time to numb up a bit. ;-)
Are you saying it was at Lawshe? How did you find that out? Too bad. Was it found before you got there? I went out looking for you guys but I didn't go to Kaposia. I figured you had already left there. Too bad. But you were in the right place.
Ice that back! And take four Advils and go to bed. Maybe you should just take yourself to the emergency room. Then they'd have to see you right away.
Yeah it was at Lawshe OT! Apparently found before I got there yesterday. Reg found out at the Pharmacy where they post the clues. The web guy must of not got the word at all since it's still posted as clue 4 on their site. Thanks for the advice too. But I think a quick appt. with Dr. Seagram's might be a bit more satisfying for my pain at this point. ;-)
When I went by Lawshe today there was a woman looking around there. Then she went back to her car and it had Wisconsin plates on it. Boy, they come a long way for this hunt!
Marv's is Al's now? I wonder when that happened. Marv must have retired. He's older than I am.
I've done it many times before plus I don't plan on having too many since I don't wanna smell like a brewery when I go to the Dr. office. They'll just write it up as another old fat drunk guy who was trying to act younger than he is.
OT - It's been Al's for about 7-8 months now. It looks a little different in there as they put up flat screen TV's all over the place now.
Oh no! So there goes another one of SSP's quaint bars. Everyone wants to be a sport's bar. Did you know that in it's hay day, SSP had over 40 saloons on Concord St? The only ones left are the ones in the strip by Marv's.
Yeah. The other one I was thinking about was that Mexican owned place on the river side of the street. I'm not sure if it's still Mexican owned or if it's even still open or not. I used to go there years ago.
That place on the river has changed hands at least 20 times since it first opened as the Channel House years ago. Probably opened in the 60's as I remember. I don't know what the problem is with that place buy no one stays in business for more than a few months. I think that is has closed down again! That's a trivia question here in town: What are the many names of the old Channel House restaurant?
Hey me2, Here's a few pix of those Rice Park bricks. There's 2 full pallets left of the things and plenty of the Capital bricks in the background. Unfortunately there were people scarfing on the Rice Park ones while I was there and there aren't many left of the other ones that actually say Capital on them either. If it's any help, they never even bothered to check my receipt when coming or going from the brick yard.
Good luck M23K. I've still got all my wisdom teeth, so I can't help you there. Act like you're really pain intolerant and maybe you'll get better drugs.
Be prepared to wake up crying. It happens to alot of people. I came out of it crying like a baby for no reason at all. Maybe they use different drugs now to put you under. I had mine pulled many years ago.
i remember telling them that the iv wasn't working. and then things just went dark. didn't have any problems at all waking back up. plus it was cool. i could suck on a lifesaver for about a month afterwards and pass it across the back of my mouth where my teeth were :)
I hope that they're hurting real bad Med2K3 because I'd hate for you to be getting even one extra tooth pulled for no other reason that that they COULD hurt in the future. Since toothpastes, brushes and sealants have advanced, dentists have been going down the same over exaggerated road as doctors to pay the bills. I was told that I would HAVE to have mine yanked by three different dentists to avoid future pain and discomfort. Well I didn't and that advise was first given to me over 15 years ago. I grew wise to their 'advise' after going through a few caps that ended up making my mouth way cold sensitive when they never hurt to begin with. I just did what they said that I should of done. I wish I could reverse the clock on that stuff. Regardless, I wish you a speedy recovery from that sucky procedure that you're going to go through. Good luck.
aghh the dumpster's are hear, now I get to rip down the paneling in the basement it has mold growing on it and its growing on the brick walls so I get to look like Darth Vader for the weekend. Luke I am your father....LOL
Something is going on. Thirteen helicopters just flew over in a V formation. Looked alot like a gaggle of geese going over. But much noisier. There is a remote control plane show going on at Fleming Field tomorrow. They're fun to watch.
Funny. As I was writing this I heard them come back over. Single formation this time.
Have a beer for me ESD. That's hard work but it's gratifying in the end.
We stayed in Owatonna Friday and spent some time at the Jungleland Water Park and toured Cabela's Outfitting store. Cool stuff. We've never been there before. They have absolutely everything that you would ever need for hunting, fishing and camping. There's also all of these scenes throughout the store of real stuffed animals in the wild. Here's a pix but it doesn't even come close to what it actually looks like in there.
Incidently I see that the SSP treasure clues say it's at Vets field not that little park. Reg - What did they say to you about it being found and why do you think they're still posting clues is that's the case?
I got you only one of each baby but not 100 like you asked.
Incidently I just lit off about a brick of firecrackers not more than 10 minutes ago in a neighborhood competition. I won of course but not with the firecrackers it was with a $50 blue tube explosion. ;-)

pfffft. come back when you can make firecrackers out of sparklers.
If I didn't know you CM I would think you are a surfer from California ;p kinda like that guy Sean Penn when he had long blond hair -yeah dude that guy ;p
I call it the evaporating Coke(Pepsi, Dew, Sprite, whatever) Syndrome
No matter how many times, or how often, I re-stock the refrigerator, when I reallywant a Coke, there aren't any. And if I purposely avoid re-stocking, my wife's Diet Coke begins evaporating.
sorry Ian, coke lady didn't make it in this week so I can't order until next week :( she ordered a crapload of stuff and then just assumed we wouldn't need anything this week. she was probably heading out of town or something.
So Ian, have you tried looking Ares way? maybe set a trap in the kitchen-and for goodness sakes-havn't we talked enough about LOCKING YOUR DOORS at night!..or locking them any time for that matter ;p
you either need more alcohol, cm, or more ibuprofen. take your pick.

there's a reason i said or, cm. mixing advil and alcohol is a bad idea.

There's Buggs and 2 others farther north too.
Oh yeah. How could I forget Buggs Place! And Sobaski's next door.
Yeah. The other one I was thinking about was that Mexican owned place on the river side of the street. I'm not sure if it's still Mexican owned or if it's even still open or not. I used to go there years ago.
Triple Duce Coupe Joe!

This would make for a cool puzzle

Good luck M2K3, are you going to change your name to M2K4.. LOL.

I saw a couple of zeros also.
I got a dry socket in one of mine ... pain, pain, pain
the only thing that helped was some nasty moroccan hash. those were the days, my friend ...

Thats what gave you the dry socket.
No, the hash gives you cotton mouth, not dry socket.
Went to a friend's vasectomy party tonight. He didn't seem to be in nearly as much pain as I was. Bastard.
2:00 am, do you know where your spouse is? That makes one of us.

you have parties for this? :: faints ::
2:00 am, do you know where your spouse is? That makes one of us.
